RABBIT !!! I hate to give away a secret, but if you love to cook German food.... especially Hasenpfeffer or rabbit stew... they carry it. Aisle 7, bottom shelf, buried in with game hens. They are pricey little critters... from $35 to $45 each, but that is market value these days.

Foodland is a friendly oasis in basically a food desert. There are no major "chain" food stores within miles. Good fresh produce. Prices are very competitive. The store building is old, but well-kept and very clean. The staff are excellent. Good air conditioning. There is an ATM, Coin Max machine (cheaper than CoinStar), money order service. Plenty of parking.Lone Star Card holders can get 50% off produce purchases ($10 max).

Thought it would be a good place to get some fresh fruit for lunch. How disappointing is it to open your lunch and it be mold inside. Not worth my time to go back and complain.

Visited Foodland for the first time this evening. Man, am I impressed. Great sale prices on produce and meat. They have a butcher on-site if you need it. Store is clean, neat and well organized. And, employees are courteous. This is a family owned chain of four stores that is a great alternative to the nationwide giants.

Good place for seniors to shop vegetables are always fresh price is a reasonable you pay half price of vegetables at a certain time of the month if you're using food stamps

This store is the GREATEST, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, THEY CARE. I WAS HOPING THAT WE BE ABLE TO SHOP ON LINE, I LIVE SO FAR AWAY FROM EACH OF FOODLAND STORES. NOW I AM SICK I NEED TO ORDER SO BADLY 😢 FROM THEM. THAT'S HOW SUPER THIS STORE IS. I SPEND AT LEAST 20 OR MORE MINUTES IN THIS STORE LOCATED ON AYERS STREET. THE CHECKERS ARE THE FINEST!! U R TREATED LIKE FAMILY. 👍

It's in the middle of a predominately Hispanic neighborhood. So it caters to more Hispanic flavor and that is why I go there. Choices are there for my flavor buds. Prices ate not that good, a bit on the high side. But they have a niche and they are incorporating or taking advantage of it.

This was my go-to for meat. Prices were usually the lowest, but here lately, the last few times, the meat has been bad. As soon as you take the packaging away, the smell of the meat almost kills you! I don't think I will ever shop this location again. I've lost a lot of money due to old meat.

I love how close it is to my house, so convenient when I’m needing something ASAP. It’s clean and well organized. The customer service needs much improvement as they don’t greet you or ask if you need any assistance.

Nice and easy checkout. Meat department was helpful but not super friendly. I will come here again bcuz it's the closet place to get what I wanted. Nothing special about the store tho.

This place is so much better than Walmart. They don't have as much stuff and it is definitely a little bit more expensive but it's not overcrowded and I don't have to wait in line forever. That in itself is worth the extra cost

You can find good deals here. CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATE ON YOUR FOOD!!!!!! There have been times that I either found or accidentally purchased expired food. They were not nice about it at all.

Some prices good an low. Others ate ridiculously jacked up to cover sale items. There are NO SALES IN USA. Bogus theory when everything else is jacked up beyond belief.

I go to this store because it is not far from my house. It's a small store compared to others and has a limited selection of some items. The prices here are higher than those found in Walmart.

I know the prices are not going to be as low as Walmart because they are not as big of a place but the girl who checked me out did not say one word to me the entire time she was checking me out. So disrespectful
