I booked a camp room twice (once for my journey out, and one for my trip home) and both times were an amazing experience. The camp rooms are remarkably clean considering they're pretty open to the elements, including the famous central/west Texas wind, and I think the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The communal bathroom was also very clean, which was highly appreciated, and climate-controlled; a nice bonus. The manager clearly knows and cares about the property and the staff as well as the guests. Sadly, I saw no cats. The only downside!Nearby activities: Fort Davis National Historic Site; Davis Mountains Nut Company; several little shops and gift stores are also nearby. You can't beat the Stone Village Market for breakfast or a good sandwich (try the Rachel if they have it!), or for a great variety of snacks and meals for both microwaving and full-on cooking.

I love this place. The rooms are clean and so comfortable. It’s an old style motel that has been renovated and it’s absolutely a gem. The pool area is really nice. The employees are very friendly and welcoming. First time I’ve been to Fort Davis and I recommend staying here.

Parent approved & toddler approved! I will happily be bringing my family here again. This is a great home base to use for adventures in this part of the state. Added bonus having a market with fresh and organic goods!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The owners can tell you about all the fun things to do, see, and where the restaurants are located. This place is walking distance from most of the town. The rooms are very clean. We've had a family get together in Fort Davis two years in a row and I hope to have many more. Stone Village Tourist Camp is the motel I will choose to stay at every time.

Stopped in this little town for a night to sleep. Great choice, tucked back in and covered by beautiful greenery. Hosts were welcoming and shared local eatery choices. Rooms were clean and inviting. Large room for less than $100. Very quiet at night with a hammock, cute pool and chairs to relax on. Will definitely stay here again. Room #1 on the back left was a great choice!

We love coming to Fort Davis, Marfa and the region. Been here about five times in the last nine years. Always stay here. Everything is comfortable. Reasonably priced. Relaxed. Small but comfortable rooms and nice decor. Not luxurious but we were never looking for that. The deli next door (40 ft away) has nice breakfast sandwiches and sells Trader Joe's like foods. Great coffee. Very friendly folks in there.

Clean, no fuss accommodations with everything you need for a comfortable stay in a beautiful location. Owners Randall and his wife Belinda are warm and welcoming and can provide any needed information concerning the surrounding area. They have a lovely place with an awesome patio and store that serves great sandwiches and burritos. We highly recommend staying here in their historic hotel!

Our stay at stone village tourist camp has been nothing short of wonderfully relaxing. The management is extremely friendly and helpful. Our rooms are always extremely clean, housekeeping does a wonderful job. It's extremely comfortable and the owners work very hard to make you feel at home! Also they are pet friendly and very affordable for your stay! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing place to get away, relax, or even do some adventuring in the area!

This place is fabulous and the entire staff is so welcoming you feel like family. This is my fav place to stay in all of West Texas! I do so several times a year and love it! The general store conveniently located next door is owned and operated by The Stone Court crew is very upscale and has everything you need from amazing sandwiches to Free Trade Coffee. There are great places to eat within walking distances as well... you will love it! (Whoever gave this place less than a 5 Star rating is probably working for the competition :-)

It is Five Star because I enjoyed the quirkiness and the ambiance. The feel of the place matches the campy feel of the remote outpost Fort Davis is. Stone Village is an old style tourist court that is well-kept and meticulously clean. It is authentic retro and very laid back. I loved the privacy. I was out early and returned late while napping in the mid-day and was never disturbed. The bed was comfortable. The linens were clean and fresh. The wood floors were dustless in a dusty town. Everyone was nice. I will stay there again. Coffee hounds might consider bringing a full-size pot with appropriate fixin's. The microwave was pristine. The plumbing was a bit like at grandma's house before the remodel but so what? It felt like it should be that way and it felt like home. I loved it.

Room was great, it was quiet and the cool mountain air was so refreshing. Owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The pool was fresh when we returned each day after hiking the area. Great grocery store next door with baked goods, coffee in the am,. Sandwiches, deli, wines and healthy foodsThe price was a bargain.

Randall and his crew always seem to hit a home run every time we stay there! We've been staying there for the last several years for the CMA state rally and love it! Quiet, quant & cozy! There is Wi-Fi but when the place is full, it gets pretty slow, but that's to be expected. No biggie. The rooms are always clean and the grounds are well kept. Good job Randall! Keep it up!

This is my favorite place to stay when we travel to Davis Mts. We were headed that way and called to get reservations on our way, we arrived late and there were notes on office door that our rooms were ready, unlocked with our key left in the room. When we got to our rooms they had turned the air conditioner on and had left a light on for us. The rooms are very clean and the bed is so comfortable. They are all so nice there. It’s a great place to stay.

We were looking for a quick getaway and stumbled on the Stone Village on Google. Kids loved the pool, the staff was friendly and the room was nicely updated. Nice products in the rooms: tissues, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. Very quiet area even on the main strip and full capacity in the rooms, I heard nothing all night even with neighbors outside talking! They also have a store next door where we bought snacks and beer. Would definitely stay here again.

This a nice hotel on the main street of Fort Davis. Randall the owner is a hard worker and super nice guy. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable and it's safe. If you are not a camping person but want to play in Davis Mountains this is the place for you. Cyclist doing the Southern tier. This is the place for you. Get some rest and the market beside is an awesome place to restock. Give it a try. You'll be glad you did!

Very nice grounds and staff! Staying in the cabin rooms was nice enough with the window cracked open and the view of the hills behind! Being from Houston, the cabins were plenty comfortable and enjoyable since there is little to no humidity! We'll def plan to stay here again when we stay in Ft. Davis!

We stayed here over Spring Break and couldn't have been more pleased. We never used the A/C or the heater, the stone walls kept the temperature very comfortable and constant. The facility was clean and quiet and we were able to walk to anything along the main drag in town. The small grocery that belongs to the tourist camp was a great place to pick up sandwiches for a hike or any necessities you may have forgotten at home. A little gem in West Texas!

We stop here maybe twice a year and always have a great experience. The cabin rooms are inexpensive, but very comfortable (more like a bed and breakfast on the inside). The pool is nice and there is an incredible mini grocery right next door (like a tiny Central Market). Highly recommend.

We stay here every time we come to visit family. For many years now. Randy is always friendly and accommodating. They have several different types of room, a fire pit (when theres no local burn ban), and a pool. Many rooms have been updated to have a West Texas country feel. Always stay here.

I've been staying here for years. For your sake go to their website to check it out. Wonderful quaint atmosphere and very pleasant people. Also there is a store on the same property that is just as nice with great sandwiches, other deli foods as well as have healthy groceries. If you go to Fort Davis check it out. It's old, not fancy, but comfortable and cozy. Oh yeah, they have a pool.

Cute little hotel in the middle of nowhere. Ft Davis is sooo small and cute. Only thing I can say about this hotel is the scent in the room was strong and irritated my friends sinuses. TV was on the blink when we were there, But other than that it was great.

I recommend that all tourist and locals avoid staying here. I met the owner who insisted on talking to me late this evening, while I was headed to my vehicle I told the stranger I had to go and he cussed me out before I could negotiate renting a room. I turned back to meet the man shook his hand said I was headed to my vehicle and was busy and he continued to be rude and hateful and used foul nasty language towards me. I confirmed he is the owner of this establishment and it is highly recommended for your safety to avoid staying there. Thank you for reading this I hope this will make your travels much better. I hope you find other lodging with a nice warm place to kick your feet up knowing you are in a more professional and safe environment at any other place in Fort Davis Texas. Happy holidays and avoid Stone Village.

It was good. But if you are staying in a room with screen doors, know that it may get pretty cold in there if it is a cold night. But the beds were comfortable and no bed bugs in our beds. But water is only available during certain times.
