Hands down, the deli has the best sandwiches I have ever had. Expertly made. Plus, the grocery has a great selection of healthy fare and pantry staples. The fellow that checked us out was so helpful, funny and was always singing a tune. One of our favorite places in Fort Davis!

This place is an absolute delight! A home away fromhome with the friendliest people. Clean, organized, and above all TASTY! Cinnamon rolls made daily— incredible. Was most definitely not expecting the coffee to be full bodied and as tasty as it was. Friendly staff and prices were reasonable especially considering they are among one of the few games in town.

Stopped here on our way to big bend. What a delightful and welcoming atmosphere. Front the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Everyone here is friendly and funny. The locals sitting at the table contributed to some morning jokes. I also had the opportunity to try their mudslinger coffee, homemade biscuit/egg and kolache. They were delicious. If you are ever in Ft. Davis, make sure to stop by and grab some food.

Nice Lil market breakfast burritos were great. The cashier Aaron was so sweet and amazing. I loved the customer service. You definitely don't see that now a days and it was wonderful experiencing that.

Enjoyed a cold roast beef and cheddar cheese sandwich with a fountain root beer. It was good with a generous amount of roast beef and 2 slices of cheddar. Also had a small bowl of tomato basil soup which was pretty good, not great. Very casual place/small market with 5 or so inside tables and 4 outside tables on the covered patio. Very reasonable pricing.

Great place to stop for a sandwich and chips. They have some to go items like chicken salad and potato salad as well. Everything is always fresh and very tasty. There are a variety of groceries as well as fresh vegetables. Highly recommend!

This is a small store located with a motel/RV park. Besides selling basic necessities, its best feature is the deli counter where you can order custom made sandwiches. Sleeping Lion Mountain provides a backdrop.

Arrive early for breakfast burritos, they sell out. Love their salsa. Coffee and pastries also available. Daily lunch specials are a tasty great value. Eat inside or on porch or carry out.

Needed some distilled water, which they had, surprising me for a small store in a small town. We were greeted cheerfully and drawn to the deli counter. The chef came out and helped us himself, describing the contents of the salads and sandwiches. Food was excellent with large enough portions that we saved half for the next evening. Made to feel at home and very welcome. The coffee smell was rich and fresh even though it was mid-afternoon. Old-time wood frame screen doors testify to authenticity of this place.

Fun guy behind the cash register. Great sandwiches and breakfast. Best of all? Coffee! They had this coffee flavor called mudslide that was amazing. Bad news? They don’t sell it by the bag… but all around fantastic little place. Stone market, you should sell that coffee! Ship it around the country!Go see these folks. You’ll love it.

My most favorite place to eat in fort Davis. Their sandwiches are so fresh and don’t even get me started on the mouth watering homemade cookies, DELICIOUS!!! Also I love that everything they sell is organic and fresh

We went twice. First time, coffee, sandwiches, fresh molasses cookie, and soup were good and a good value. Second time, Breakfast tacos, coffee, cinnamon rolls were delicious and also good value. Friendly staff both times. Next time I am out here I will definitely go back.

This place has everything that a small town convenience store should have and more. Friendly gentleman behind the counter and a ridiculously wide assortment of locally produced goods and obscure candies and dried meats. The variety was stunning and shopping here takes you back to a simpler and more interesting time. Good cold brew coffee too!

Came to Fort Davis for the historic site and after being out there in the heat needed something to eat and this place was amazing. The food and service was amazing. All the options for the sandwiches and other food was great. There was also a variety of other foods and snacks to choose from near the checkout. Good stuff.

Update: I am adjusting my stars from 1 up to 3 because of the very kind response from the owner. I do understand the supply issue. While I was disappointed, I would have settled if the young man behind the counter had been polite and respectful. Maybe next time we will try again and change our rating to 5 stars, like I was hoping our experience would've been! Thank you.**********Original Review:We heard great things about the Deli sandwiches. They had no white, sourdough, potato, or light colored bread (only dark rye or healthnut bread...neither of which I like with beef pastrami), no sub rolls either, and the young man behind the counter was unfriendly and rude. We decided we didn't have to settle for bread we didn't want when the guy's attitude was such. Tried another restaurant in town today.

Loved this place. They have a variety of ingredients to make your sandwich anything you want it to be. I had their soup of the day, broccoli cheddar and it was sssssssoooooo good. I also tried their potato salad (really good as well) and their chicken salad which was phenomenal. I bought a pound of the chicken salad and potato salad to with me. They have a huge variety of drinks which include a lot of organic drinks. The store itself has a huge variety of items and a lot of organic foods. We will definitely go back.

What a great place! Opens at 0700 with fresh, hot coffee and an assortment of breakfast burritos that are amazing! I've been going to Ft. Davis for several years and this is one place that is always on the list! Great place to grab breakfast, sit and eat and visit with friends or maybe even a local or two...they're pretty friendly!

Excellent small market and deli. A great place to pick up a freshly made sandwich to eat there or take along on a hike. The deli also offer breakfast burritos or breakfast sandwiches. I had the biscuit sandwich with sausage egg and cheese, and it was quite good - especially the biscuit. There are a few tables both inside and out. Plus a small grocery and several coffees to choose from. We picked up a Big Bend Coffee Roasters mug while there.

Two sandwiches from deli, both with stale bread that was shipped in from Portland, Oregon. Aren't there any closer bakeries to provide fresh bread, healthy and a more environmentally friendly transport? Staff was very friendly.
