We were staying next door at Drug Store Hotel and our room lost electricity in 10° weather at 7:30 at night. We were cold and had no place to go. I called the Harvard and they had a room available. The restaurant manager even helped us move out of other hotel and into the Harvard. She and Kendra were so compassionate and helpful. Treated us like we were their own grandparents. Room was pristine. Beds super comfy. Nice and quiet. Would highly recommend. Thank you for your hospitality. We will never forget you for your kindness.

Someone claiming to be an owner / manager of this establishment communicated with me in a manner that underpins other reviewers' claims of rudeness. I cannot quote the electronic communications, as they are not G-rated. I have screenshots of profanities directed towards me. I don't dish out one-star reviews lightly. This atrocious behavior online reflects poorly on the business and on the Fort Davis community.Update: In their response to my review, they note they are blocked from my social media. That is accurate. That is what occurs when people (or companies) direct profanities and insults towards me.

We didn't stay at the hotel but had dinner there twice while in town my husband thought the burger and fries were delicious. I had chicken fried steak and was the best ever. I also loved the mashed potatoes. Great Moscow mule too.Food & drinks: Delicious food and drinks 🍸

The food was amazing!!! Best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. My wife got the ribeye and it was a perfect medium. My son got the chili hatch cheeseburger and he loved it. We will definitely go whenever we are in Fort Davis. The wait staff and owner were also great.

I got there at 9pm so there wasn't anything open in town. A vending machine would have saved my life! And there was a dripping sound ALL NIGHT LONG and not a pack of earplugs to be found. No overnight front desk. But overall it was nice.Walkability: Great location.

No elevator, only way to access room is via stairs. Bar and grill is shut down. Neither of these mentioned on website when booking. Also misleading with pool pictures when there’s obviously no pool on site. Would not return.

Was excited to stay here after the reviews. Room was clean and nicely decorated. However, quickly disappointed when we slept on the uncomfortable bed which made noise when you moved. Then the shower backed up all three nights we stayed there. After failed attempts or lack of interest in fixing the problem we still paid full price for our stay. We took showers in ankle deep water and it was awful. They open up late and close early so if you need something you are on your own. We stayed in room #2 so good luck if want to give it a try.

The room I stayed in was great - very spacious and clean. Fabulous to have a balcony, too. The staff I met were all very friendly and helpful. Centrally located in town; we walked to meals and shopping, short drive to the state park. The pool out on the ranch was wonderfully refreshing and had 3 friendly furry greeters. I'm knocking off one star because of the apparent pride they have for killing cougars.

Hotel was clean and comfortable we really enjoyed our stay. Only downfall is that the toilet made weird noises all night long, so we didn’t get as much rest as we would have liked. But other then that we enjoyed ourselves.

Great place to stay. Bed's were very comfortable and the service was fantastic. we had a king suite upstairs. It's location is perfect: 11 miles from the observatory and within walking distance of all the downtown restaurants. Only reason I didn't give the 5th star: The shower isn't all that great and our shower head was clogged up.

We stayed at the Harvard Hotel with a room overlooking the street. We thoroughly enjoyed the room. The bed was comfy, a.c cold and the room was quite large and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and we felt the price was reasonable, especially considering the little things like.....good ice machine, refrigerator, nice toiletries, nice linens and towels plus the location and we had a couch in the room. The Only recommendation is a second chair in the room or a bigger t.v. Our room was so big and our older eyes had difficulty seeing that far. Lol

The prickly pear margarita was delish. The man greeting us with a pistol in his holster was very off putting and almost made us leave. My friend got terrible food poisoning after eating the salmon on her salad that tasted just slightly off. Wouldn't eat here again.

This review is both for the Harvard Hotel and the lodge at Sproul Ranch (Harvard Suites). We stayed at the ranch but had to stop at the main location to pick up our keys and to check out. The front desk was very polite both times. The room was fantastic. I just wish the directions once you get inside the ranch were more clear.

Decent hotel amongst limited options at Fort Davis. Our king suite was adequate but overpriced for what is offered. Service is limited and the shower drain would clog up and didn't get fixed over the 3 days we were there. Overall, an acceptable option but should be priced a bit better

I love the rooms at this Hotel. The beds are amazing and It's right in the center of everything. Kendra Hurley was so gratuitous. She helped us with anything we needed. I am so glad we stayed here. Highly recommend.

The 'ranch suites' are Motel 6 sized rooms in a small building steps from a metal barn and looking out over a feed lot. The access road is through a low water crossing that had 6 inches of standing water and would have been more appropriate for a 4WD vehicle. Walls are not sufficiently insulated to block baby cries and there was no way to turn off the porch light that shined through the shades all night. Coffee pot was dirty and for a four person rental came with only two small styrofoam cups. They expected to charge $1/bottle for water, which seemed inappropriate for the setting. At least the beds were comfortable and there was hot water.

Perfect location for doing anything and everything in Ft. Davis. Dropped a star due to a rude lady at the front desk. We were trying to book again .. she was no help .. almost like she did not want us to come back.
