Warmth and Companionship.. is what you feel within minutes of your first visit. This is a no-kill animal shelter that is one of the finest I've seen. The animals are well-cared for and the staff are truly dedicated. Being a disabled Veteran battling PTSD/Bi-polar disorders, I am unable to provide for a dog on a permanent basis. But I love animals, and I have found solace by volunteering to walk dogs at the facility while I am in town.If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, this is the place for you!

They take such good care of the animals there. The adoption dept is more than helpful and so kind. They message and call to check on the dogs after the adoption which is great, especially if you are struggling with your new pal, we didn't, But we had a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to a lifetime of cuddles with our new companion

Great place to adopt a new pet! They know there job and do it really well! They worked with us to find the right companion for our other dog! The staff took the time to get to know our needs then the time to see if both dog where compatible!Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get a new pet!

I would absolutely 100% recommend Grand Companions if you’re looking for your new fur buddy. The folks at GC truly care about the animals in a way I’ve never seen at another shelter. The facilities are well maintained, the staff is caring and kind, the animals are all well attended to and taken care of. I adopted my dog eight months ago and they still check up on how she’s doing, how we’re getting along and how everything is going.

Great facility!! Their animals are so very well taken care of. These people will go out of their way to help get their animals adopted and placed in the best homes. We love these people and what they are doing!! If you see a pet on their site that grabs your heart, contact them and they will do everything they can to get a wonderful pet in your home!!! Also, their thrift store in town is a must see if you are in Fort Davis!

I just really don't understand this shelter. You have to sit in a room while they bring dogs out to you. Even before covid. I get some people know exactly what they want, but sometimes that changes when you see a lonely dog through a gate and have a connection. Or maybe you go in wanting a puppy only to realize there is an older dog that needs your home. They take that opportunity away by bringing what the worker decides, granted they ask you certain questions before but still. 2 of my rescues that I've had for years were not what I was "looking for" but fell in love with.

They gave me the best companion I’ve ever had in this life. They personally recommended Cali who was the dog that was the best one for my personality. And they took two back that i tried first. It was 11 years of true joy. Thank you grand companions!!

A true dog whisperer rescued 2 dogs next door. Truly gifted lady who so gently place a 130 Rottweiler in to a dog crate with ease. Sorry I didn't have her name to identify here. She knows she is touched when dealing with gods creatures.

We adopted Molly, a red nosed pit and husky mix, years ago from GCHS. We knew what kind of dog we were looking for and the staff here had a few that met the description or character. Molly has been an angel and was the perfect match for us. Thank you GCHS!!

This business is organized, prompt in general, the installation folks are courteous and clean up after the installation. When ever we need any kind of window replacement or repair, we will call Window Depot.
