We had such a great experience at Fort Davis Vet! We took our chihuahua puppy here to get spayed and a couple vaccines. They spay/neuter on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The techs were so sweet and our little one had no trouble post op, everything is clean and well done! Fair prices and kind staff all around. Would recommend to anyone in the greater big bend needing a spay or neuter!

We are from Michigan & our dog got sick. We called, and they were able to see us. We & our dog were treated, so kindly. We were given medications & our dog is doing very well. Thank you so much!

Everyone was very kind and very helpful. I dropped my cat off to be spayed. (Which they do on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s) However, I only gave them 4 stars because they told me to keep her down for 2&1/2 weeks! Seriously? How is that possible? Unless she was hog tied or sedated anyway. The cat was happy to be home. Ran from room to room then took off where she left off like nothing ever happened! I’d made her a bed on the floor with her essentials near, but she wouldn’t have it. She insisted on sleeping in the bed with me and going into the kitchen to eat and drink etc. So overall I hope she has healed properly. She’s never acted as anything even happened. Please, Don’t delay- Spay! 😉

We spend several months each year in Ft Davis and have needed veterinary services twice. The doctor here is very compassionate and competent and the office staff and vet techs are fabulous! Highly recommend!

I took my dog in because he was constantly messing with his ears. The Dr said he had "floppy ear syndrome" and sent se home after a office visit charge.I waited about a week and he was still messing with them but more often. I then took him to Alpine and they told me he had a bad ear infection and prescribed ear drops. He was good as new after only 2 days. I really can't believe the FD vet didn't even care to do testing on his ears!

Where I do consider the vet here in the past great experience. I not only had to wait an hour past my appointment time outside in my car under some COVID bs which is proven nothing can truly stop it. So they took my dog and tested her. She did return quickly. Probably because our appt was at 3:30 and it was almost 5. I was abruptly told there could be surgery if it deemed necessary. Then a man walks out w no mask and a huge dog while all we women wait outside. That dog was very healthy. Idk what that means. But the employee at the vet that is quarantined under whatever!¡tells me that I got off light on my bill because my dog's nails were clipped, she has sebaceous cysts, and I waited without any upfront call or warning running my own biz and driving from another town. I was told at my leaving, I lucked out on my fee. Wow!

Drs. Greathouse and Taylor have always taken the best care of our pets. They went out of their way to help us put down our dog once they discovered he had metastatic cancer. They are both knowledgeable, kind, and caring. Both the doctors continue to provide truly outstanding care to our newest addition as well. A true gem in this rural area!

This is by far the best vet in The Big Bend! The office is very nice, large lobby and exam rooms, clean and the staff was so friendly. Everyone greeted us, introduced themselves and asked each of our names including our pet. For any issue we presented, the vet gave a few options with her top suggestion being most applicable for the condition, which made us feel like we had a choice in the decision making. We highly recommend this office and will use them again!

They saved our baby. We brought in our female pit. She refused to eat or drink anything now for 2 days, she was bloated and we thought leaking something nasty.We brought her in on a Sunday. Yes they answered their 24 hour emergency phone line and were ready for us when we arrived at 8am. She had acquired multiple tumors in her uterus from a parasite and was hours away from death. They were gentle, knowledgeable, patient and immediately took her in for surgery.We have our Addie because of them. We take all of our pits to them for all of their health needs.Thank you

We’d like to thank Dr.Taylor with sincerity for taking great care of our baby Aya. She woke up weak and feverish, with her right eye entirely sealed shut with mucus. We’re currently on a road trip, unable to predict where we’ll be. Dr.Taylor was able to accommodate us and tend to Aya within 2 hours. It’s obvious he is very knowledgeable and experienced. He tested all possibilities and narrowed down the cause of her infection. We were quite impressed with his thoroughness and attention to detail. Aya started feeling better within 12 hours! We are so grateful!
