Went in today for our usual Sunday shopping. The cashier checking us out (Katey) was too preoccupied joking with the other cashier and bagger to acknowledge us. We had picked a package of produce that was unmarked, so a manager(?) had to come to the register. Apparently, she inadvertently voided our entire transaction and was using the calculator app on her cell phone to re-calculate our grocery amount. While she is doing this, Katey (the checker) had her back to us and was making silly faces at the cashier in the next line. The manager(?) never acknowledged us nor did she offer up any explanation or apology. I had to ask what was happening because no explanation was given. Once this was complete, the manager(?) left and the checker finished scanning the remaining couple of items. As my wife is trying to pay, Katey decides turn her back on us once more to strike up a conversation with a customer in the next line. I had to get her attention so we could complete our transaction and leave. In looking at other reviews for this store, inattentiveness of cashiers and employees tends to be a common complaint at this Brookshire Brothers location. I feel pity for Katey and her co-workers for being employed at a place where basic customer service and communication training aren’t provided by the owner or exemplified/reinforced by their management. As a result, these unfortunate employees aren’t receiving valuable soft skills to help them in their future careers.

I get just my whole wheat bread, spicy pickles over by the deli, and I love their store brand cottage cheese. Large curd is better than Walmarts. It's not watery. Love with diced avocados salt and heavy on the black pepper.

Most cashiers are rude and preoccupied, sackers don’t pay attention to what they’re sacking and put my raw beef on top of my loaf of bread. Noticed cashiers don’t care to id and place is always kinda dirty. Produce is always rotted and just an unpleasant place to shop at in general

The woman that attended me was rude and not helpful at all. She acted like she didn’t want to be there.Good thing the lady in crutches was around she was very courteous and helpful. This store needs more people like her.

Fuel prices were good. My card wouldn't work for me or the attendant, even though it had worked at two other places. She was nice and we just put extra on the card and I received change. I don't know why the card wouldn't work at the pump, but it worked in the attendant booth. Just took longer to get on the road.

Nice community store with fair prices. The employees were very hospitable that made the experience even better. The store is clean and well- maintained also, which is very important. Sure, there are bigger chains with slimmer prices, but you cannot replace the personal touch of genuinely nice people.

Shop at this place all the time. Lots of young clueless kids that work here. Glad there is a guy named Mark who works in produce. Always makes my life a lot easier when I shop here. Makes sure I know where everything is and always offers to help with my things to the car. Always see him here. He needs a raise. Good employees are hard to find and he is one. Thanks again Mark. Hope your good deeds are noticed.

Some young ladies every time I go always giggle and just look at each other when they are checking me out. I feel very uncomfortable when they do that, because they don’t do it to other people. Train your staff better or not hire people like that.

Nice little community store, nice selection of country breakfast items, freshly cooked in the deli section. They have most everything you need for every day grocery shopping. On occasion they have something on sale that's really good for stocking the freezer or pantry.

So many sweets to chose from.. The deli has a lot to get , so I don't have to cook. I can get my prescriptions and get dinner, and gain some pounds taking to many sweets home

On the positive the store layout is good. Staff is friendly. The employees off work should always let the customer go first instead of jumping in front of the line.. but whatever. My main issue with this store is the pricing. Literally dollar general is beating you horribly. Their milk is like 2.25.. tours comes in around 4.00. And that's with most of the items. I feel like its price gouging due to the fact walmart is 30 minutes away. So its convenient to come here and save the gas. But dont rip people off over it. That's not right. I use dollar general much more often.

Was traveling and stopped into this store for a few things. Employees very nice. Store is clean and the lady that works in the deli has personality plus. We bought a meal to go and it was scrumptious!😊

It is a clean store. the cashiers are quick and the employees are knowledgeable and happy to assist. Groceries are more expensive than other stores in the area but the food staples not by much. As an example, 80/20 ground beef was a dollar less than Walmart a few days ago.

I stop by here when I'm traveling and I buy 12 slices of bacon.Great prices.The ladies aren't very friendly in this department but the bacon is good.The front checkouts are friendly.Great prices on breakfast
