The store has been looking "somewhat" cleaner. Still a little cluttered up front with all the displays.For the most part, your produce is very expensive! Your bread is on the high side as well.Your paper goods products are expensive. The price catches one's eye, but when you look at the count per package, it's not a good buy.Why have 3 registers. Ten people were waiting in line & only 1 register was open. Why wasn't yhe self checkout open?It's said that most of the time, you have 1 person working in the evening on Fruday, Saturday, and Sunday. Open t h e self checkout!A younger female was working this Satuday night. I would be scared to be by myself at night, especially if I was a female.You need two employees at night. If you're going to have 1 employee, hire a security guard. It's really bad when it gets dark at 5:30 pm. Now, with Springupon us, it's a little safer at night because it gets dark later. It's still mot good to let one person have put the cash drawer away by his/her self.You make it because you are convenient to Sandy Oaks residents. Your prices are not really great. I can do just about as good at Walmart and on several things at HEB as well.

Biggest Dollar General I've ever been in, good selection of foods, home goods, essentials and various sundries. Prices are reasonable. I'd give it 5 stars but a few of the employees were unfriendly.

I will never shop at another Dollar general again- mark my words. That is the most poorly run business at all locations with the worst employees sorry -cut and dry I've done 10 years of research now.They only get worse.

This store us highly unorganized and hard to shop. The merchandise is supposed to have designated aisles but, you find items mixed on various aisles.Even when items are on the correct aisles, they are so mixed. The shelves are not zoned on some aisles.Pri ces are missing many on shelves. Some items do have prices on the bottom of them. Even when prices are on the shelves, items are so mixed y it's hard to know what price is for what. It'd take an hour to decipher.The store is not cleaned thoroughly. Fingerprints and smudges are all over the glass doors of the coolers.The produce cooler is never fully stocked.The produce prices are high.The store seems to have some decent prices on about 1/3 of the items and 2/3 of the items are higher. I assume this is to make up for the lower price items.It will take some time, but the store needs to be thoroughly zoned. This will make stocking so much easier to stock.The store is dark. Better lighting is needed. Maybe some accent lights on each aisle.The bulk displays need to have good-size price signs. Put the bulk items on pallets, not on the metal cats. These cards are too big and make the store more crowded than it already is.Items that are damaged or missing parts need to be marked down.When placing items out front for sale, make sure it's placed neatly.Have cashiers learn to scan more rapidly. Items scanned per minute can be tracked.Managers don't need to spend the majority of their day on a register. They need to manage. Yes, budgets are tight. I believe a neater store, items zoned and priced, fully stocked shelves, and rapid service will increase sales. You will then be able to pay managers a little more and hire enough employees to keep the store in top shape.Corporate needs to realize that we, the customer comparison shop. We can find items at Dollar Tree and Walmart that give more value for the cost. That doesn't mean you don't have some good buys. However, fewer great buys will cause one to hold off a couple of days and then go to a competitor.Better pay with some benefits and full-time jobs will attract employees who will be more motivated.Just some things this store and corporate need to take to heart.

This dollar general really needs to get their store together. Tried getting stuff out of their Clarence bin this morning. Didnt really need allot of it, just figured id help them get stuff off the shelves and maybe one day we would need the stuff. Waisted 45min of my morning before work for them to tell me there should be a sign that said green dot only(it did not). I even picked stuff that had multiple of the same item in the tote, seeing as people do put stuff were it doesnt belong. They should really organize this place, always have the “management” not working, maybe go organize some stuff instead of just standing around. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This place is god awful. The hand baskets are absolutely caked in filth, the aisles are full of unstocked merchandise and mysterious puddles of water. They installed a self checkout like a year ago, it never worked until last month, now its broken again, so your only option is to wait in an insanely long line while the employees stand around and chit chat. I have honest to god never seen anyone doing any work in there.

The people are rude we showed up at 9:01 and they were already closing up the doors and when we asked the lady are y'all closing she weighed her arms at us like I guess not since y'all just pulled people here are rude the store is cluttered and they don't ever want to do their job they just want to do the bare minimum I'm not satisfied with my experience in the store the only reason we come here is because it is closest to our house if I have one closer I would go there they just need to shut this door down since nobody wants to work and do their job

Yes this Dollar General may be very close in location to me and very convenient I understand that it is a small Dollar General however you do have to have management that has to have good ordering skills they have to understand how to order their items if you have too much of one item don't order more of it and get back stocked. You don't need that that's what causes your store to look the way that it does is ordering too much of something that's why you have items in your aisle that are piled up. I understand that customer's come in and mess things up but I also understand that you can't try to stock SUCH A SMALL STORE IN A SUCH A BUSY LOCATION DURING THE DAY. You need Better MANAGEMENT

Dollar General is new here and has been working on the kinks but I can definitely say they have excellent customer service. If something in a bin and not on shelf and they know your looking for they will get. Now they have fresh eggs and milk on Sunday. Awesome.Price wise you may pay .10-.15 more on a few items but it's still a savings because you would spend in gas driving all the way to SA. I'm really proud of how they have brought store together for community.

It's convenient to home but always has stock on the floor, aisles are so crowded sometimes, shopping carts won't pass through. Usually shorthanded with long lines.They redid the layout and added fresh fruits and vegetables, not an improvement. Store now stinks with smell of spoiling food.The parking area is generally full of trash making the entrance to the city look ghetto.This store shows the need for negative stars to rate it properlyBetter to travel 5 miles to DG at Elmendorf than to shop here, worst DG I have ever been in.

Good selection of just about everything you need and don't want to drive into town to get. Convenient and easy to find everything. The store is pretty crowded with merchandise, but that's OK by me. It is like a miniature Walmart, without the hassle. Good parking, fast check out, prices very reasonable.

Close to me..I understand that they do the best they can to keep up with stocking. This store is a high volume store .I don't understand why Corp doesn't care here . THEY SHOULD! Once in awhile this man will come with some people and help but that's not enough ..this store doesn't have enough staff to keep up ..SAD. The staff that has stayed are helpful and do the best they can. I thank you .

Amazing how well stocked this location is. Someone wants the farming community well taken care of. Prices are reasonable. Location is convenient next to freeway access. On the down side, no water of any kind! I Guess that is everywhere.

This is an easy place to get to, but the store is the bad, bad, bad. Trying to get down the isle's are near impossible. They have where people come in and drink half of a soda while they looking for something to buy or shoplift. This would be an excellent dollar general if they could put the merchandise in the store up on the shelves. They need to get the isle's cleared it's a fire hazard. Mgr. and employees shouldn't be going through marked down priced items and putting merchandise on the shelf. The waste cans out front of the store are always full and the dumpster in the back of the store is always a mess in the can and on the outside.

This is the closest store for me. They have plenty of different things, they have good selection of food and dinner necessities without having to drive 20 minutes to HEB or Walmart. They also have indoor and outdoor supplies, pet food and variety of household products. The employees are always very helpful and friendly.The store itself needs more work, but its not fair to blame the employees.

Very rude cashiers and very bad customer services. They don't make customers feel welcomed. Today in the morning, I was there to buy bread. I went to the manager Laura and I asked her to check me out. She told me to wait next the cashier register. I went there and waited, but she did not come to help. I asked her again. she insulted me and called me rude. I told her to stop insulting me and check out. she refused. Being antimuslim will not make you a super hero. I will never come to your store or any of Dollar general stores.

Its always cluttered and items are hardly on the shelves. Only one cashier most of the time which makes for a long wait at checkout. Not very tidy for a place that hasent been open long. The workers are always very polite, helpful and nice.

There is one lady that is really nice and sweet and the others can be really nice but the items are starting to get to me. I have bought 2 items that where out of date. Beer of all things and cookies that went out last year! This is starting to become a normal thing. Really disappointed had really high hopes for this store. They are the only ones out here but they seem to really not care.

Happy they have in stock exactly what we needed for incredible prices. (Chilled beverages priced same as on the shelf- i.e. the cold Gatorade I ran in for). Milk prices are decent, so many snack items you can't count them. Much more selection here than I expected with every shelf very well-stocked! ... way to go, Dollar General in the small Texan town of Elmendorf, TX.

4 stars for it's convenient location. We live 12 miles in either direction off the nearest grocery store and sometimes you just need milk or Tylenol or Lysol or something. As long as they keep the employee clean and courteous, I'll keep a high review

Great place to get things in Elmendorf, it's no HEB but saves us tons of gas.Staff is always friendly Andy the workers always serve you with a smile.you need eggs milk dog food toilet paper any household items indoor or outdoor this place has plenty of stuff to shop for. It takes all forms of credit cards and 2 pretty good about attending people. I find myself add a Dollar General three times a week, they always have good stuff for good prices.

This place is our nearest store, so it's where we get items if we don't want to drive 15 minutes into town.It might actually be better to drive to town for your groceries, because items are priced marginally higher.It's always understaffed, you have to double check your reciepts after each purchase, because the prices seem to always be higher than they are advertised on shelves.There is always a line, because the have only one cashier open at a time until the line gets 25 customers deep so your Ice Cream might melt.Staff always is frustrated, and can be quite irritated, high turnover rates of employees means you rarely get to know workers.I always think to myself, or tell my wife I'm just going to grab it real quick at DG, and not hardly ever really quick.It's one step higher than the convenience store next door (Valero) which is the shityest quality store on the face of the planet, and still happens to stock milk better than the DG.It's just sad, cause I had such high hopes when we finally got our own DG in Elmendorf.

I went there today and I have never seen more trash at the edge.of a.parking lot in my life other than the landfill I mentioned this to a young man working in the store and he told me they have called and reported this to corporate offices and they got no response or help with this problem . This is rediculious that someone employee there just does not step up and clean up all the trash outside its very visible at first glance. So I won't be shopping there until this mess is cleaned up. Planet Earth is not dollar general dumping grounds. Clean up your mess . This is pure lazyness.

Not very well stocked but hoping that improves since it hasn't been open a long time and more and more people are shopping here. Great to have nearby for items needed at the last minute or when you don't want to battle crowds at a supermarket or supercenter.

I like my neighborhood store. BUT 1 tall mexican lady with glasses is SO rude & always looks like she's MAD!! Can't ask her for help bcus she always have her ear fones on. What happened to welcome to our store👎 i jus hope she's not the manager there. I believe they jus hire within. No customer service.👎👎.

My friend lives out there only close place to go. The xmas candy I bought on the 26 was old and suppose to be 50% wasn't.Maybe they will improve in the new year. Most important no customer restroom😣

Worse store ever! I have worked for Dollar General in the past and our Manager would have NEVER LET THE STORE LOOKED LIKE THIS STORE! You can NOT walk down the aisles. There is NO Customer service! If you ask for help they turn and just walk away acting like they didnt hear you! Manager and staff need to be FIRED!! Or close the store!!
