Shelves never stocked, cashiers and staff are rude as can be, and they have a terrible habit it seems of closing before closing time. Wonder what the management is doing.Update: Yet again store is closed before posted closing time.

I rarely come, but whenever I need something urgently I do come here because it is the store that is closer to my house. Today, a few minutes ago, I came to buy some pills I needed because I did not want to go to walmart or HEB just to get that, well a man approached us (I am only assuming that was the manager) with a dollar general shirt and told my sister (also a frequent client), my cousin (who had never come before because she is visiting from out of town), my daughter and I. He was so certain of what he was saying and accused us of leaving the store a complete mess every time we come. We asked him to show us the camera proof he had to back this up and he said he couldn’t. He made us feel uncomfortable and I believe he was being racist because we look hispanic. We have never left a mess anywhere, we are respectful people and for him to assure this was just not okay. We will also be calling and speaking to more people because no one deserves to be accused the way we were. We had never had a bad experience here, today just horrible. RUDE. I will be calling to find out the name of the man that did that, because you cannot accuse someone of something they did not do. I believe that was a racist act.

It's 930 am and they aren't even open. The manager got there at 10 and told me to leave by the employee. I won't return to this location and would avoid it.

I bought some purple dot things on sale last weekend that were 50 percent off with an extra 25 present. I bought the items and realized the next day that they only gave me the 50 percent discount so I took the receipt into the store the next day and asked them for the remainder discount. There was a sign still on the items for the sale but after the guy went back to check on the items the sign was removed but I had checked the sign before I talked to the manager and the other guy working there. I went back to the items with the manager and the sign was gone . I told the man that someone had removed the sign. That I had just saw it and he said no!! I said I just checked the sign before I showed you my receipt and it was there !!! They called the store manager and was told to only expect the 50 percent off. I showed them that I had found the sale online and that the sale was still on but they wouldn't honer The sale. So I returned everything . I live near by and shop there all the time. I feel like they were to lazy to fix my perched sale. I won't go back to that store .

The cashier which is probably some sort of manager is very rude this is not the first time I have seen her in action. I don’t understand how she is still employed. One of the days she is going to make the wrong person mad. That’s why there is so much violence in this world people like her that have no customer service.

I generally use the store going south, toward floresville, the one just past 775. I went to this one today because they have a better selection. The checker was rude, spent time doing something on her phone when I go to the checkout without acknowledging I was even there then finally scanned my items, told me the total, and that was it. Not even a thank you.The parking lot is also filled with trash. Better selection or not I sure do like the employees at my other store way better.

Besides being the closest one to my house it is one of the best stores that I've had good customer service experience at. The staff is always friendly and nice, they're always patient, and often when I arrive minutes before closing they never so any sign of frustration or bothered by the fact that a customer came in last minute. Not really sure how to explain that in the words but I'm sure everybody knows what I'm talking about we've all been is there before right? They always are in stock and know where everything is at.

If I could give this review 0 stars, I would. The manager and assistant manager are very rude. The manager tends to be on the phone with a personal phone call at the cash register, most times there is only one cashier and she makes you wait on her. She also has an attitude and definitely makes you feel unwelcome. The store tends to be messy, and sometimes running low on certain items. I probably won't be back here unless absolutely necessary.

I was there over 2 weeks ago. And when I went I was greeted very nicely and she was very courteous. I found what i needed. She asked if I found everything I needed. Which I did find and more. Lol. Thank you DG for having her as an associate. Cause I have been there before and the the older girl was not courteous at all.

The manager for this store is very disrespectful. Me and my motherWent for snacks and cigarettes. The cashier asked for her ID like always. I had chosen the wrong opportunity to show my mom how Samsung pay works on her new phone. I do accept my fault in this. BUT! The manager was rude even when I tried to explain that I understood she was just doing her job, she simply wouldn't let me speak due to her argumentative behavior towards us. My mom accepted the store credit card. The manager wouldn't allow my mother to get back and line and purchase her items a second time with her store credit card. I had asked the manager for her name, and she proceeded to threaten me to get out of her store and call the police. I called the store , asked for the managers name and I was put on hold. I waited patiently to speak to the manager. She had answered the phone, and I asked "What is the managers name?"She told me " I can't give out personal information

Super slow at register.Half the items are prices wrong especially if it's marked down. They're close by but they're soooo slow, inefficient, and aggravating, I pass them up for literally anywhere else. Pay the extra money for something at the gas station before stopping here. You'll save your time and sanity.

I used to work at this particular store and I liked it a lot better than most other dollar generals I have shopped at. They have a nice variety of items for a dollar general. This store recently got upgraded with more registers yet there is only one line ever open and that is a big downfall.

We'll this my neighborhood Dollar General, i have seen store mgr and assistance mgr help out in the front of the lines. When there is heavy traffic the store lines get long and short on staff "Yes" it take them a long time but keep in mind that the employees have to keep on eye on everything all around the store especially when there is short staff. Their has been muptipal occasion when people have walked out of the store with item that did not paid for and plus they also have to clean the store at the same time and sweep and mop and brake down boxes, and When they get a big shipment in please be patient they do have to take inventory of all items being delivered to the store, plus they only have two hands and sometimes it get overwhelming during this time of chaos. So please when you see all the employees at Dollar General get fimilar with them and give them words of encouragement or bless them. Everyone deserves a second chance and kindness.

Dollar General stores used to be nice and clean where you could find something! Now they always look like they're dirty pile stuff all over the place too crowded don't like to go anymore! When I ran a store it was always nice neat and organized before we open and put up before we left and organized! Dollar General stores aren't dirty cluttered and a mess.

The manager Erica is rude and disrespectful! Doesn't even talk to you. She just rolls her eyes and walks away while your talking. As much money as I spend at that store I dont deserve the disrespect. Nobody deserves to be disrespected at all especially from a manager!!!! I only put 1 star cuz it wont post if you don't. I give the store no stars due to being disrespected. I also give it no stars because there has been several times where they are in the office laughing and having a good time while people are waiting to pay for their items. The district manager needs to work with the employees on people skills! And making sure employees dont sit in the office laughing and having a good time while customers are waiting to pay! I will start going to the other dollar generals on 181. Its more of a drive but at least they are friendly and dont make you wait to pay for your items. Some people need to get in and out in a hurry and those stores are friendly and get you in and out!!!!!! And their stores are very nice, well kept up and very clean and organized!!! The other stores are very friendly and are always there to help if you have a problem or questions!!!

Just about like every other Dollar General I've been in. The employee was very nice. I always appreciate that. I just don't like how they cram so much stuff in there that it feels claustrophobic.

This Dollar General rarely has the stuff that I need but when they have it yes I'm happy cuz it's close by but I would rather take the cruise and take my chances then show up to this place first..they say they don't do money back on electronics,even if it had been bought that day. And dont even call this place..because when I called trying to speak to a manager.its off the hook and still is today..hate staff there very rude and no costumer service what so ever idk what the deal is that place but plz..some one help them

I go to Dollar General at least 3 or 4 times every week. The employee are helpful and friendly. It's always nice and clean and I find a lot of nice things.

Went to dollar general today it was so nice and clean, it was refreshing, buy not walking into a store where you have to squeeze between isle because merchandise was in isles. You could actually enjoy looking to see what i might need. The cashier i didnt catch his name but when he talked he was very nice, friendly & to the customer. He treated my boyfriend like an oldtimer which is how they did in the old days, he said you have a nice day boss & went back to work on the floor putting up new merchandise. There was a customer that was feeble minded & he was hard to understand. My boyfriend said whats wrong with him. He said oh he comes in about 3 times a day & he comes in about 3 times a day & buys something small that he can carry on his bike. He said hes harmless. But that Dollar General on Emendorf & Adkins by Killowatt st. Is a breath of fresh air versus the one on New Mathis. Thank you Renee L Hoy.

Store is still very disorganized. They're carts with merchandise almost in every aisle. Store needs to be cleaned. By the looks of things, this store doesn't have a stocker. Maybe it needs a new Manager, one who knows what needs to be done.
