This is a magnificent Mexican restaurant gem hidden in Electra,TX. Where's that, you may ask. Google it! My motorcyle riding buddies were heading home from an extended trip. We were hungry, so I found this place in my Garmin restaurant categories. 3 miles off the Interstate with absolutely no advertising anywhere. Made from scratch with generous portions and friendly, prompt service.This may become a Ride-to-eat destination rotation for my riding group.

I love this place. And their carnitas tacos are very delicious and packed with meat. And onions and cilantro. The rice and beans are tasty too. I keep forgetting to tell them I want chess on my beans. They give you chips and salsa with every order for free. I also like the carna guiessada, that's comfort food, yum. And their Chicken Flataus are really good and full of meat. Tacos and Taco salad. I haven't had every thing on the menu yet. But I'm sure it's all good. My son loves the Mexican stir fry and my husband will or senior Pedro.

Usually this place is really good. Tonight not so much as our lettuce and cheese was spoiled for our large family Fajita meal along with them not cooking our veggies. Other than that, we eat here often and love it.Edit- tried a few more times and it's just getting worse. Owner was rude to my family when we wanted to bring a larger group in and food was not good at all. Would be nice to eat here in town, but it's worth it to drive literally anywhere else.

Been visiting Carlitos for years. Food always good. Have given positive reviews in past. About 3 weeks ago we visited and were very disappointed. Food was still good. Service was questionable and the place was a mess. All but one table were not cleaned, old paper napkins and chips on the floor all over the place. Filthy. The waiter was yelling into the kitchen from the dining area in some annoying argument. Waiter also shared his unsolicited anti-USA opinion which was filled with ignorant FAKE FACTS commentary. Anti POTUS, anti police, anti USA,...etc. We really did not come to dinner to listen to his opinion, let alone his ignorant rant. We went to Iowa Falls for supper the next day.

I think theyre taking advantage of the fact in this town theres not alot of places to choose from to eat so they jack up the prices. It wouldnt bother me as bad if it was great food in return. For 15.°°, if u ordered a nacho supreme, u should get a nacho supreme instead of a salad placed on a bed of soggy chips and sprinkled with shredded cheese. Litered with refried beans. Who serves nachos without cheese or taco meat or if supreme bits of fajita meat maybe. If i wanted a salad ida asked for one with some ranch dressing not refried beans.

Went a few months ago & the food was great. The service was OK. After it was all said and done, I paid for my food and left, I used my credit card, mind you. I checked my bank account a couple of days later and had found that an extra $10 was tacked onto my bill! I called to get to the bottom of it and got ahold of the manager. He sent me a picture of my receipt where I'd apparently tipped $10 more than I actually had. Better yet? It was my signature. FORGED! I told them this and I was reimbursed. I was told she was fired. I went in a month later and she was STILL WORKING THERE! They hire thieves! Do not dine here unless you want to be stolen from!

This is truly a hidden gem! We were in town for a football scrimmage and decided to eat here. It was amazing! I had flautas and empanadas and both were the best I've ever had. The salsa was great, as well! We will be back if we are ever in this area.

Food was not good ,cold tortillas from a package. Rice and beans good but staff was moping because they were slow and water stunk very unpleasant. My carne gusada tasted like over cooked pork in wolf brand chili sauce. We had to ask several different people to get refill, my husband food was not good at all. Chips and salsa was ok. The ladies bathroom floor was wet with puddles of water, no wet floor sign, and if I had not been holding on to the door knob I would have fallen on my back, as it is I walk cautiously in unfamiliar places because I am disabled and walk slow.This was my first time there with some family that live in the area and I believe will be my last.

Best Mexican food I've ever had. The ground hamburger meat is so flavorfull! I've been back since going Vegan & ordered a Taco salad - no meat, cheese, sour cream & added rice. It was good! It comes with beans, lettuce, tomato & I added salsa. Their salsa is Ranchero sauce.

This restaurant is a little gem. From their salsa to the relleno it is legit Mexican food. The service was excellent and prices reasonable. If you find yourself on TX Hwy 287 definitely stop in.

Carlito's is a good little place to eat. I can't give it 5 stars because there are places with better Mexican food, but it's still worth eating at for dang sure. Especially when you don't want to drive all the way to Vernon or WF.

My husband and I stopped in Electra because of the sign we saw driving through Texas We stopped here and waited for 15 minutes before walking out. We sat at the bar and were given chips/salsa. Others came and sat at the bar/tables and were brought chips/salsa then orders were taken but not us. We are African American there lose.
