This is a late review, a few days ago my son and I went in to casually look at some freshwater fish. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by Brian. He took the time to explain to us the type of fish they had left and why they won't be carrying fish soon. We then began speaking about our dogs and offered some very valuable knowledge, tips & tricks for some dog training. He took so much of his time to discuss different foods. We certainly appreciate his service and knowledge.

One of the cashiers was very racist towards me, he was making fun of my name; he couldn’t believe I looked so Mexican and my name is Nelson. I was there Sunday 1/14/24 between 2 and 5 and the employee was a pretty short white guy, around 5’8 with tattoos on his forearms and a pretty big mouth. I contacted corporate the same day, nobody answered but you can be sure that I will insist until this employee gets disciplined

We’ve been customers for a little of three years and love Pets Barn’s custom made dog food. We have 5 pups, get two different recipes and their call ahead feature makes picking up all the food quick and painless! Staff is always friendly and ready to help!

Nick and Mina are STELLAR. The level of customer service they showed us was AMAZING. Thank you for taking the time to educate us on what is beneficial for our dogs and making us feel more confident as owners. We will be loyal patrons at this store because of the kindness you showed us.

Very unsatisfactory, I came in for 3 Cichlids. Ended up making 2 trips because they never made it home. Your staff put them thru so much trama, just trying to catch them. They al ended up dying after going back a couple times for a different batch over 2 days. Got tired of making the drive to the store ,I just gave up.You should really train your staff before they just spend 20 minutes chasing fish around the tank trying to catch them. By the time they jumped over and over they were so exhausted, 4 of the 6 never made it out of the nah before dying. 2 died within 24hrs. I gave up and didn't want them to kill anymore fish. I'm out $44 , but at least hopefully the rest of the fish might get a different person that won't put them thru so much trama. Both times my water samples were tested everything was good.I hope you find better staff in the future.

staff is always kind and helpful. love the additions you can choose for the custom activa dog food, my dog always got tired of previous food we've tried giving him but not this one! also great deals if you buy 3 bags at once or 10 over a period of time

Had no problem finding any items I needed. Pretty good store with plenty of variety. Had to wait though 15 minutes in line when it was just me when the workers were talking. One made eye contact with me and so I waited to see if he would just approach me without having to be told to do so, unfortunately people don't wanna work here and you can see it.

I don’t usually write reviews but i came into this store today and had such a good experience. I was greeted by a young lady with short hair and she asked if there was anything she could help me with, she knew exactly what i was looking for and when she was ringing me up we had such a nice conversation talking about both if our dogs.

Very clean, well organized store. A little on the pricey side but also have frequent deals and specials. The staff is super helpful. They carry a line of dog food that is made here in El Paso. They also offer a mixing stain where you can choose supplements and flavors to mix in at no extra cost. I stopped because they offered a large dog bed for $20.00 . They had a surprisingly large selection of beds of all kinds. The $20.00 beds were surprisingly nice and very comfy. The clerk spent a lot of time helping me. I was very impressed with this store.

the one star is for their lame and unfriendly user on-line site. if you try and search for anything other than dog food?, is just not happening on their site. you guys really need a whole lot of work in that dept, or just do not have a website.

Their Bark To School sale was a LIFE saver!!! I had never been to this location, but the manager ensured I was taken care of properly and efficiently. I highly recommend!! Forever grateful of her, and will definitely be returning— thank you so much!

I always buy my dog's food here, Activa Grain-Free is the way to go. They always have great deals on treats too, not just biscuits, but things such as buy 2 get 1 free smoked bones and such. Not the biggest selection of toys, but what they do have are awesome.

Here at 10 on a Sunday. Only the employee still setting up his register at 10:24...doors are locked and he's stressed. How about getting to work on time or maybe hiring more staff?

I went on a Saturday and the girl that worked there was so helpful. She even helped us pick out food for our new puppy. We brung our puppy in the store and tried collars on her and got her a nice one with rhinestones, now she looks extra cute!

Very nice staff and great customer service. They also carry a lot better selection of quality foods than most local pet suppliers and sell their own formula made locally here in El Paso which you can further customize to fit your dogs needs.

I had bought something for my newly acquired fur baby and found that there was something wrong with it. When I called to speak to the manager I was so very impressed with the way he, Chris, handled himself and the incident. When I went to the store to return the item he and the staff helped me to find everything I needed. I cannot remember the last time I was treated so well in a store after having something go so very wrong. Thank you!!!

I came to this pets barn 20 min before closing time and it was horrible customer service!! The ladies just seemed like they wanted to go home! You could tell by their attitudes and faces! Not to mention the remarks they made! I needed some food mixed and neither of them wanted to do it. The lady looked at the other and said “do you want to do this?” And the lady clearly said NO! She even made a face!! I love pets barn and I’ve been to all of them around the city and not one has ever had this customer service!! They have always been sooooo nice and helpful! These ladies didn’t even greet us when we walked in! This was a convienet time for my family and I to go! If these ladies are still there I need to find another time to go! Other people kept walking in and they were greeted nicely and we weren’t! I also think racism plays a huge part! So if you are Mexican and need to go to pets barn around 8 o‘clock to 8:30 please save yourself and go the next day in the morning! One of the ladies names was Arian! So beware guys!!!! My kids, husband and I came out mortified!!

Walked in to purchase fish, and we were helped by a super nice and knowledgable guy named Luis. Highly recommend him! You can tell he really enjoys his job and knows everything there is to know about all animals!

UPDATE: I have communicated with the district manager and the issue was resolved, thank you to Pet's Barn and im glad I don't have to look elsewhere for new food!(original review)Let me first state that I have been buying cat food from Pet's Barn for years now and always recommended them to my friends and family. After today that probably won't be happening.They posted on Instagram about a customer appreciation event at this particular location and while the event itself was only on Saturday, it said in both the post and the caption that sale prices would be honored on both Saturday and Sunday. Since this included buy 1 get 1 free Activa food, I came to the store to pick some up, only to be told that the owner wanted the sale to be only Saturday and that the Instagram post was wrong. Also, there was no way to speak to the manager/owner since he was in San Antonio.Why was the post still up then? Why couldn't they just take it down in the morning? They finally did take it down sometime after 5pm (when the store closed at 530pm, by the way) , but didn't acknowledge the mistake anywhere on their Instagram. When I commented on their page politely expressing my disappointment, it was instantly deleted.I no longer want to give Pet's Barn my money. I like keeping it local but not when businesses treat their customers this way.Tl;dr: False advertising and ignoring concerns from customers.

Friendly staff and can always find a good deal. Don't call about ways to treat baby birds cuz they will send you to a rescue that doesn't help. Then went in and found they had baby bird formula so that baby bird died needlessly.
