It is H-E-B so fresh produce and meat are expected and this location delivers. Fresh tortillas always, but do not expect them right before close they fly off the shelves, and day old tortillas will not be sold because they estimate it correctly each day where by 9pm they are sold out. Which is a good thing you know you won’t get day old tortillas. It has went through some new renovations, and it was to add new coolers because why not, and items must be kept a better temps with this Texas weather. The seasonal section at this location is slim I don’t know why… but overall this is a great and well managed store. Everyone is working at all times 💯

We do not live in El Campo, but come here often for doctor appointments. This H-E-B store is always so well arranged and clean. For a small town store we think it is managed very well. It is our one stop location for groceries and food items.

Really liked the store. Very well stocked and very good prices on a lot of things. Produce was good too. I'm liking HEB a lot and I'm from up North where there are no HEB's. I'm glad El Campo has such a good store.

The selection of products on shelf was sufficient for a Monday morning, by no means were the shelves totally stocked but sufficient for the items I needed.The reason for the low score is because Everytime I am in the store the people doing the shopping for online orders are always blocking the isles with the large basket things they have to put the orders on, and most of the time they are in the way when they decide to bag the items why can't this bagging b done in the grocery holding area that has been added in the store? The ones that take the groceries out to the cars are very rude. They scoff or give dirty looks because customers are coming in the door and getting in their way...as I have told a few of them..."if you would use the exit doors like us customers do...this wouldn't be a problem" Also they tend to just walk out in the middle of the street until they get to the auto they are going to.I do like the renovations that have been done inside the store...it looks very nice, I don't however care so much for the smaller store. I travel to the larger stores when I need a good amount of groceries because this store is restricted on the amount of items offered. Also the meat area is lacking the same-day sale items where other stores offer this, headquarters should know el campo is not full of upper crust people. . .most of their/your customers are barely scraping by. Customers in this area need the option to purchase same day sale items not just the ground beef area but all of the meat area. . .(roasts, ribs, pork chops etc.)I also get very discouraged at all the HEB stores for not ever having enough cashier's open, not having enough baggers, not offering to cary groceries out for customers it's crazy how lacking the HEB franchise is so lacking in customer service in so many ways. I will say out the el campo store the front management is also very poor. They will not lead by example, nor should they chastising the cashier's in front of customers...also if you are going to offer self check outs then please put in more and a area to have more than 10 or 15 items.I have several times had maybe 20 items in my cart and I go to the self check out because only 1 or2 lanes are open for full service check out and the lines are 5 customers deep...with over flowing carts...and the front(short latina with exceptionally bright lip stick) lady manager has very hatefully walked and told me self check outs are for small orders...ahhh yes I know but you don't have enough cashier's to take care of the customers already...the self check out has only 1 or2 guests besides me. So exactly why is my so few of extra items a problem. I have also told her on a few hours occasions that a good manager would get on the register to help...but no she would rather fuss at, chitty chat, or just tap tap tap on a handheld device.I hope some of my thoughts will get a serious thinking about and possibly become a reality...Thank you for your timeRobyn Duffie

Decent meat prices, good quality veggies. But it is always a mad houseSuper crowded. *** New Update 8/5/2023*** The store is a insane cluster, to much going on. People just standing in the middle of the isles, cutting you off. We still had to shop to different stores to get good deals.

Great place to fine what you need and want.Try it out you could find it 😉 update with the pandemic the curbside really helps when I'm in a pickle for my grocery shopping. Update all is good 👍 ☺️ I still love curbside very nice staff keep up the amazing work 👏

It's large nice and clean. It was a little different layout than the HEB I am used to. I could not find a prepared foods section in this HEB.

This has to be one of the worse parking lots. I like HEB but I have avoided going in the store simply because the parking spots are very cramped. Its been like this for years and it needs a redesign of the layout. I stick to curbside. Busy times I avoid it all together.

I LOVE HEB!! The produce is fresh and top-notch!!! The employees are friendly and helpful. The prices are beyond reasonable compared to a small chain grocery store in my town.

This HEB is hands down the best grocery store ever. My husband and I instacart in Houston corpus Christi Victoria Bay City everywhere. And the El Campo HEB is the best most well-run store around. They provide excellent customer service are always pretty well stocked up on everything on their shelves and if they do not have something a employee is happy to help you find a replacement. This is the friendliest store I have ever been to. I also have a service dog with me at all times due to having seizures and other medical conditions and I have not had any problem ever with any of the employees or management they are very understanding and helpful and I have to say Elaine is so helpful and always going the extra mile to help out. She gets right in there with the other employees and gets the job done.

I’m horrified and know why groceries keep going up. It crazy that a lady was in a scooter with it full of groceries. She told her companion “go check this out this (handed a item out of her cart) they will think I paid”, I’m going to car!” and preceded to drive without paying for a cart full of groceries. No I didn’t accidentally not see her pay. She was on a bunch of the isles that I was on grocery shopping. I’m retired cop so I noticed these kind of things.I went and told two yes two different people and both said they couldn’t do anything about it.WOW JUST WOW

This is a huge HEB, it was a little smelly when you first walked in, but dissipated after a bit. Great selection of food, and wine. Helpful and kind staff. Great place to stop for groceries.

Jay is one of the managers at H‑E‑B, and he’s awesome! I love bragging on my H‑E‑B. One night, I went to curbside a little late, and they were so helpful and still brought my items! I can’t say enough great things about my H‑E‑B of El Campo. Thanks for all the hard work.

I went in just to buy sunscreen. I had no idea where to start looking. So, I asked the first employee I saw stocking. He told me where the primary area I could find it and also an end cap in the front of the store I could check first since it was closer. Great info. I found exactly what I needed at the front of the store and was out in record time. Great employee.

Good selection if groceries and friendly staff. Always a good selection of products. Curbside pick up is fast and super convenient.Update 9/15/22I had an issue with a product and although the service center was closed a manager was able to help me resolve my issue.

Great Service! With all the craziness that can occur with holiday season shopping in this store made my stress almost nonexistent. Due to a last minute menu change for Thanksgiving dinner I was at my wits end searching for greens, however I was able to locate them here & a plus to my experience was that the produce employee Steve was extremely helpful by helping me bag my veggies & bring/load my cart...You just don't find service like that anymore & I'll definitely be a return shopper. Thanks again Steve & HEB El Campo!

Clean store with fresh produce, meats, and seafood. I can usually always find what I'm looking for. Plus they always have coupons and they are always next to the product, no need to clip from the newspaper. To to it off, the prices are always pretty low.
