Great place to stop on our way to San Antonio. We had a burger and Turkey, Bacon, and Avocado sandwich. Both were really good but the burger was the best. Great service and delicious iced tea. We sat outside on the patio, and it was a great pit stop!

A buddy of mine recommended Maxwell's Meat Market to us. He said we needed to try their crawfish. Man! I'm glad we did. They were sweet, fat and full of meat. It just so happened, he sent me a picture of their hamburgers. My wife and I ordered ahead and stopped in for a quick bite. They are delicious! We travel through Eagle Lake on a regular basis, so we will be regular customers. Amy is a sweet lady and very accommodating. Thanks Maxwell's for a fine product and dining experience!

Been driving by this place for a while and waited patiently for them to be open when I do... Not surprised that in small town Texas, it was a great visit! The young lady helped me out, got me their largest tri tip (marinated) they were having a boil tonight so I grabbed 2lbs of mudbugs and a pound of shrimp... I'll edit this tomorrow after I smoke that tri tip. Thanks y'all

Coming back from a road trip in the rain.. stopped here to eat.. awesome cheeseburger w/ paradise sauce.. amazing staff.. will definitely stop again and recommend to everyone

We stopped here for lunch, quick and delicious! My sons got cheeseburgers, they said it was the best cheeseburger ever. And I had the turkey and bacon sandwich I saw the reviews about. Classic and delicious. My husband said his roast beef sandwich was great also. Everyone was nice and helpful, they made a grilled cheese for my 2 toddlers which wasn't on the menu, but I was thankful they did that for us. The picnic tables were clean and in a nice spot for a good breeze.

I had been looking for a reliable and good meat market for years. Was so happy to hear about this place when they were opening. I live 45 minutes from there and try to make a stop there at least once every two weeks. Amy and her team are amazing hosts. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. I’ve tried almost everything they have to offer and it is always superb quality cut meats. I’d absolutely recommend the tri-tip... perfectly marinated and ready to be thrown on the smoker straight from the packaging. Also, grab some Jill burger for any upcoming weekend and your family will thank you for your amazing chef skills the minute they take a bite. Keep up the amazing work you guys! I stopped here for lunch and ended up also buying a large fajita steak, as well as a large tri tip. First off, the burger for lunch was ok, but they didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked, and they cooked it well done. I like burgers to be medium rare, especially if it's good meat like this is supposed to be. The fajita steak was already marinated and ended up having a strange taste, like the meat had gone bad or something. We didn't get sick off it or anything, but it didn't taste right. We marinated the tri tip ourselves and that turned out quite well. So I feel like this place is hit or miss, and make sure you ask them not to overcook your burger!

Hidden Gem!!!! We are from Kentucky and been in Galveston Beach and was driving to Austin and came across Maxwells Meat Market. The Cheeseburger was the best I ever tasted and my Fiancé had the roastbeef and he said it was so good!!!! I believe the lady that was taking care of us was the owner and she was awesome!!!! This place is outstanding and so happy we pulled in!!! I’m wanting to come back to Texas to eat at Maxwells again !!!

Drove an hour out of our way on a long road trip just to try one of the burgers I’ve heard about at Maxwell’s. I would drive out of my way to go here every single day if I could! We ordered their last 3 cheeseburgers with bacon added on top. Honestly, it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. We left with t-shirts, boxes of meat, and some crackers and dip for the road. Anytime I am back in Texas, I will go here. Delicious, locally owned, REAL food you can’t come by everyday!

We were just passing through Eagle Lake and went in to find something to eat. All we bought was the Jalapeno Cheese Summer Sausage. There were 2 different types of (real) cheese in it. Not runny cheese food. It was the best Summer Sausage we have ever eaten. Home made. Taste, consistency were out of this world. 10x better than any other we've had from other meat markets and grocers. We'll be back again one day. I forgot to add that the very nice lady who helped us also offered to slice up the summer sausage for us. We didn't ask or expect that to happen. Now that's service after the sale! This was a wonderful experience, for sure and next time we pass thru' Eagle Lake we will be stoppig in to try some others items that others are raving about! ***** 5 STARS *****

Stopped by so my son could use the restaurant. Wanted to buy something since we popped in and purchased a candle and a sausage link. Sausage was outstanding and the candle is heaven. What is the brand of candles you sell? Would you ship them? I would love to gift these but I hardly ever drive out your way!

I had the best turkey and avocado sandwich that I have ever had. This is Texas hunting territory and they have extremely good meats. They'll even process whatever you bring in. We stop by every chance we get. We took home some Short-Ribs and oh so good.

I was finally able to stop in here on Sunday afternoon on our way back from Splashway. The owners were working and were both very friendly and knowledgeable. They had a great selection of really high quality meats. I look forward to eating through all that I bought as well as stopping back by in the future!

Best sausage and jerky I've had in a long time...the owner said everything is wood smoked (not electric like most places) which I guess makes a big difference in the flavor. Check out their Spanish Iberico Pork stuff...even blueberry sausage? Wow. Super friendly and tons of cool hard-to-get products...they even have marinated Tri-Tips...delicious! Highly recommend.

Have stopped in here 3x in the last few months. The staff is friendly and helpful. The quailty of the meats i have purchased have been outstanding. The pork items are a standout. I love the bacon and pork steaks. Looking forward to my next visit out there.

Went inside and didn’t get attended for a while the guy am just stood there and talked to people while I was ready to order then when I ordered and my food came out it was all wrong and they didn’t do a thing about it

Wow just had there Boudain. Hope the rest of there product is better then that .No flavor at ALL. WOULDN'T WASTE THE MONEY! I even asked the rude girl at the register too. Never Again!
