Most highly recommend these guys! I read about them on the Nextdoor app and reached out to them about replacing my 17 year old softener. Spoke to Harry on the phone and he was super informative and told me about the system he would recommend. He said they could be out quickly and gave me a real fair price on the system. I got the install scheduled and on the day of the installation Russell texted me he was on the way. He was earlier than the promised time. When does that ever happen these days? He did a great job on the removal of the old unit and the installation of the new system. Super nice guy! Knew exactly how to make the install look great and fit in the area of the garage.Additionally they do routine check ups on your system for 7 years after the install. Can’t beat that l!Seriously call these guys and let them take care of your water softener needs. You won’t regret it.

This was my second time (different house) to use Lone Star Water Services for installation of a water softener system (softener and carbon filter). Garrett and Rick are top notch when it comes to these systems. I will not use anyone else for my water treatment needs as long as I remain in the Austin area. Garrett is very much a professional, very communicative, and great at explaining the process to his customers. You also cannot beat the price! Very competitive pricing and the end-result is a top dog deal. I was also impressed at how well they neatly buttoned up the installation - VERY TIDY. They also have the option of adding a softened water spigot next to the system (which I added) - great for washing vehicles! You cannot go wrong with using Lone Star Water Services!

After interviewing several sleazy companies, Lone Star Water Services was recommended to me by a neighbor. From the very first look at their website, it was clear they were different. Their prices (for water softeners) are transparently listed on their website. NO GAMES!When I called the office, I received a call back from Harry within a couple of hours. Harry answered my questions and provided information, without giving me a sales pitch. We needed a plumbing loop installed, so he offered to send out one of their plumbers, free of charge, to give me an estimate on that portion of the job. That price is variable depending upon how complicated it is to access the plumbing lines. Other companies were going to charge me to simply come out and give a quote!Russell came out and spent a good 15 minutes crawling around in our attic to see if he could connect through the attic, to avoid having to tear up our yard. Fortunately, he was able to find a way to do go through the attic, which saved us money and saved us from having our lawn destroyed.Like Harry, there was no high pressure sales pitch from Russell. He gave me a price and then said to give the office a call if we wanted to schedule. I actually decided to book right then and there, and they were able to come out within a week and get the job done!Yesterday was install day for us, and Russell arrived on time, was professional throughout the entire process, and cleaned up his mess before leaving (which many contractors don't do these days).We are already enjoying noticeably softer water, and could not be more pleased! HIGHLY recommend!

We had an emergency hot water heater bite the dust. Right as we were having epoxy floors done in the garage. Lone Star water service out of Driffwood Tx. Came to the rescue and replaced our 40 gallon unit, before the epoxy people got everything removed from the garage. Lone Star Water Service was outstanding. Came early very knowledgeable and kept us informed as they went along. I highly recommend them for any of their services. Thank Garrett’s and Russell.

Russell from Lone Star water services saved the day today. Our water heater went out Friday morning and we struggled getting someone out there to help resolve the issue as the problem kept getting pushed around between it being an electrical issue and it being a plumbing issue. Our unit is still under warranty so that additionally limited our available resources. Russell communicated well, arrived on time and was eager to help us find a solution to get our hot water back on. After a few checkpoints on his end and a call to the manufacturer it turns out that ultimately the actual control board of the unit failed. We will receive a replacement and we should be able to have hot water again by the end of this week. I can’t thank Russell enough for being patient in helping on getting the problem resolved with Rheem customer service and of course responding quickly to come out to Canyon Lake. I will definitely be recommending you to our friends!

This company is competent, fair priced, and operates with integrity. It's easy to recognize this company as a well run business. Although I have not personally met the owner Garrett, I admire his choice of employees. First, I had a propane water heater installed at a fair price with Lone Star Water Services. Unfortunately it was faulty and failed after a few months. True to their guarantee, they came back out and installed a new one at no charge. I was so impressed with their service and integrity I called them to look at plumbing at another property I own. Russell spent more than an hour estimating the problem and scope of work. My dog even bit him a little and he didn't freak out too much. He gave an honest and clear assessment of the problem and again charged no money! As I write this I regret not giving him a huge tip. I whole heartedly recommend this plumbing company. They're good people, charging a fair price, with expert workmanship. In short, Lone Star Water Services is a 5-star business. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better plumbing experience.

They show up on time and are genuinely great people.I did a fair amount of research before choosing Lone Star Water Services, and dealt with other companies that end up charging more for less, as well as involve lengthy sales pitches that are just not pleasant to sit through.With Lone Star, you get fast feedback and a team that takes care of any concerns or questions you might have. I got the system installed back in late August 2021 and it's been performing wonderfully. I would highly recommend Lone Star to anyone who is considering using them for your water needs.

We built our home 8 years ago and had it set up for a water softener but kept putting it off. After replacing a few faucets, we decided it was time to address the hard water issue. Russell came out and gave us a fair quote and even helped us out with trenching for a water loop and drain. He followed through and delivered. Day one and my wife and I already notice a major improvement in our water. Most noticeable difference was in showering. Our hair is smoother with less tangles and our skin feels way softer. Definitely worth doing in our opinion. Lone Star was definitely the best quote and service we got as well.

There is NO question why Lone Star Water Services has so many amazing 5 star reviews! From the moment we moved into our home in Buda, TX the hard water was a shock. Shower doors looked horrible after the first shower, the kitchen sink was constantly spotted, and don’t even get me started on trying to lather your hair with shampoo. ☺ Having never dealt with hard water, I began my search to find a solution. Thankful to all of the great reviews I chose to call Garrett with Lone Star Water Services.Garrett was super kind and informative and came out to assess our situation that afternoon! He quickly came up with a plan, even with a few quirks in our older home, and provided a recommendation of a local electrician to help install the needed outlet for where our system would be placed. Once our outlet was installed Garret and Rick came out the next day to set up the system. What a great team these two are! So kind and personable. They not only set up our water softening system with excellence, but also got our two refrigerators hooked up to the system.Both Garrett and Rick helped me understand the new water treatment system and made sure to let me know if my husband had any questions when he got home, to just text Garrett and he would stop by. Talk about CUSTOMER SERVICE!The difference was remarkable from the moment the hard water was flushed out of the pipes and the cost SO much less than what I read in reviews of other companies. I am so thankful for finding Lone Star Water Services. Be sure to call them if you are battling hard water, you won’t regret it for a moment!

He took the proper care to make sure the water pressure did not damage my pool, and he even worked late so I could get an extra load to top off the pool. Highly recommend!!!

Great local company with exceptional customer service. We were having minor issues with our currently installed water softener system. Garrett came out to test the water, changed a couple of controller settings, and made a few suggestions to help improve our system. All at NO CHARGE! I have called them numerous times and cannot get anyone to come check out our water softener. The one time that someone actually did show up was during a time I told them that I would not be home. That was two weeks ago. I have yet to hear anything from them. I am glad that other reviewer‘s have had a good experience with them, but don’t be confident that they will actually get back to you. I am very frustrated with them and will be looking for a business that actually cares about customers. However, I am willing to revise this review if I can just get someone to call me back.Edit: I have revised this review from 1 to 2 stars. I heard back from them and was told that I needed an expensive part replaced. A friend of mine recommended a plumber who questioned why the part needed to be replaced. He was able to repair the unit and saved me money in the process.

I consulted four different water softener companies before choosing to work with Lone Star Water Services. Their quality of product, professionalism, respect, and southern hospitality blew the other companies out of the water! Russell and his apprentice are so kind and thorough, and do their absolute best work while adapting to your house's unique needs. They guided me through the entire preparation and installation process without patronization, or ever asking for "my husband's approval" like another company did. Lone Star is a small locally owned, family oriented business that stands out from the crowd. My extremely hard water is now softened and the difference is felt everywhere! Showers, dishes, clothes etc are now clean and no more lugging 5 gallon drinking water jugs! Michelle will treat you like family and make sure you are taken care of like the guest of honor! I made a huge DIY fail with our kitchen sink which resulted in a leak in multiple spots; after I failed at fixing said leaks, we decided to call a professional. These guys came out the next day after calling, and squeezed us in between other jobs that they had that day. They found an additional leak that we weren't aware of, and installed a brand new faucet in barely any time at all. I mentioned my woes with dealing with hard water before getting our current water softener, and Russel went ahead and tested our water to be on the safe side (it was soft, thankfully). Later that night after they left, we reached out to Russel because our reverse osmosis drinking water faucet wasn't working. He called me and walked me through fixing it at 8:45pm, which in retrospect he didn't have to because it wasn't his water softener/hardware that he installed. These guys are among the most professional contractors I have ever done business with and my wife and I were thoroughly impressed for how polite they were. Thank you again!

Subsequent to Internet browsing, visiting places of business, encounters in the community, and phone conversations, I was able to identify what was most important to me. Job knowledge, sincerity, integrity, people skills, and reliability were among what I identified. I found the regional, local and/or family companies appealed to me the most. We had a water loop pre-installed as well a nearby utility sink plumbed. Once we had a confirmed closing date, we did not want any untreated water use beyond what was in the pipes and in the water heaters. I narrowed it down to seven companies, and Garrett Waller of Lone Star Water Services, checked all the boxes for me. He was prompt to reply and set a tentative date of 12/16/2019, @10:00 am arrival for install. Lone Star Water Services’ prices were upfront on their website, so it was easy to compare with the other seven. I had a ton of questions that he patiently answered without trying to up sale. In fact, he provided his expert advice on various add-ons I thought I needed, but he advised I did not. I went with the softener and its compatible whole house filter. I was not at the new house, but when I pulled up at 10:00 am, I was seconds behind Garrett, who exited his van. Yes, again he was prompt! Garrett was just as professional and courteous in person as he was on the phone, very genuine like an old friend. Garrett got to work and advised well in advance the water would be shut off for period. He completed the job to include a bag of salt; an overview of the Clack valves; and how the backwash and regeneration worked. Before leaving, Garrett told me he could install the nearby utility sink. I unboxed the 16 gauge 18”x22” sink that required the additional assembly of the supplied legs and faucet. Garrett gave me an install estimate well under my previous estimate of $400 dollars. I immediately agreed. Garrett advised he could not install that day, but could comeback possibly before the upcoming holidays, pending other obligations. On 12/19/2019, Garrett was back for the sink install. He discovered vital proprietary pieces were missing from the faucet. I felt terrible, Garrett had wasted a trip back to Pflugerville. I offered to compensate him for his wasted trip. Garrett refused. I offered to pay for the completed job up front. Again, Garrett refused, and dismissed my blunder with he was frequently in the area. Moreover, Garrett called the company from where I purchased the sink and faucet to ensure the correct items were identified and available. Later, I went online, completed the additional purchase, received it, and updated Garrett, who made his third trip out and completed the install. In the end with shop parts, sink install, and a soft water hose bib install, Garrett still did not break $400. I told Garrett; he is my plumber from now on! Since then Garrett has been in touch to ensure we were completely satisfied and all items were performing as desired. This review is long overdue, well deserving, and you have earned many more than 5 stars. Thank you Garrett!!!
