I tried this place while visiting friends in the area. What a great meal! I love good barbeque smoked to perfection! Victor and his family and staff do it right with exceptional service in a wonderful facility. I was very satisfied and well stuffed!!

We have often passed by Uncle Doug's as we travel between Rusk and Nacogdoches, unfortunately it has been closed for Covid precautions. The last time we passed by, we saw that it was open and we stopped in for lunch, and I must say that we were greatly pleased. Both the food and company were excellent. If you are fortunate, Mr. Victor will have time to sit down and visit with you at your table; you will find him to be a charming and witty host. We will make it a point to come back and dine at Uncle Doug's when we come back up to East Texas again.

The building and property are awesome. I love the decor and the food is definitely a must try! Plus I love the fact that they sell fresh produce and that will save me trips to Nacogdoches!! I also bought pumpkins from here this past Halloween and the prices were the same you would pay at Walmart in Nac so why waste the gas and travel when you can just go here! 😊

Always wonderful. The place is spotlessly clean, the staff is amazing and friendly. The BBQ is juicy, tender, and has a ton of great flavor. Amazing smoke flavor throughout the meat. Also the produce store on the side has great items as well. Best BBQ in East Texas by far.

Victor, and the rest of the team are top notch. The food, atmosphere, service, and entire place is amazing. I met Victor through work several years ago, and recently placed a large order for my son's baptism. The BBQ is the best in East Texas, and I cannot recommend them enough. Can't wait till you're open more!!

Went to lunch here last Sunday on our Harley’s having a hint of what to expect from some friends, but had no idea just how great this place is! It starts as soon as you see the place! Very orderly and clean appearance pulling in the parking lot ! Walking in was even more impressive, very modern, very clean, very clean restroom, just beautiful inside! Very friendly staff and I have to say, the best ribs I have ever had in this 72 year old life! We toured the grounds and farmers market, and found the same cleanliness throughout! We spoke for probably a half hour with the owner outside by our bikes! A very congenial fellow with a great sense of humor and stories to match! I’ve had a number one and a number two favorite BBQ restaurant for several years, but they have given way to Uncle Dougs! This place is off the hook great, and the owners personality and grace sure doesn’t hurt! My new number #1Jim Heinz

Hands down the best BBQ I have ever had. My dad was shaking his head at how good the ribs were.... I have never seen the old man enjoy BBQ so much in all my 40 years on this earth. I have eaten from some of the best BBQ places in Austin, Houston, Tyler, and College Station. Uncle Dougs outdid them all. Give this place a try, you will not regret it. The only downside is they only serve on Saturdays, currently.

This is an amazing BBQ restaurant. The food is phenomenal. The meat is so tender it falls off the bone. I've had BBQ all over the world, but this by far has everyone beat hands down. The staff are great and friendly. If you have a chance to a walk around the grounds, it is full of interesting items for decor as well as sitting areas and even an outside theater. So much to say about Uncle Doug's but you'll have to visit to enjoy everything it has to offer. Maybe you'll get a chance to shake the hand of the proprietor Victor. Nice and friendly guy who knows BBQ. Bon appetit.

The best bbq I had in a long time. The staff is awesome and the owner is one of the sweetest people I ever meet. He walked my daughter over and showed her how they made chocolates. We WILL be back.

Sooo good. The location itself is incredible, and we had fun exploring the grounds with our kids before even sitting down to eat. BBQ was delicious-- perfect ribs, and the brocolli salad was exceptional. Victor is one of the nicest restaurant owners, and even found a way to make our unruly kids feel welcome.

My wife and I finally got a chance to come out and eat, as we live close to Huntington. Some of the best brisket we have eaten. Absolutely love the environment and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Great job.

The food is off the chain!!! The brisket and ribs are to die for. You gotta eat here... You'll never look at BBQ the same. The potatoe salad is the best we've ever eat too. Tell them Santa sent ya!!!

We visited Uncle Doug's last weekend, and from entering the restaurant to leaving we felt at home. All the food was delicious. We had ribs, chicken, pulled pork and sausage. We were visiting a friend in Nacogdoches and decided to stop in for a bite to eat. The customer service was A1, the staff and family atmosphere made us feel welcomed and at home. We plan to go back when we visit again. Thanks for taking good care of us!!! God bless and may He increase you more and more!

Our first visit today. The food and service were very good but it is not handicap friendly. The designated handicap spaces were covered with displays and the entrances are not wheelchair friendly. Fortunately other customers stepped up and offered to get my husband in and out safely. Businesses need to be more aware that not all customers are ambulatory.

Food was delicious and service top notch. The owner spent time with our table. He had rings for the girls. To top it all off there was free soft serve ice cream that tasted homemade. Great atmosphere! We will visit again!

Stumbled across Uncle Doug's a few months back, finally got to eat there twice in the past few weeks. 'Twice' should clue you in, the 2nd time we took a party of about 30 family members from several states for a birthday meal/celebration.The food is excellent across the board, ribs maybe the best I've had anywhere. The people (that's you, Victor, Stephanie, Dondo & family) are first class, super-nice, and determined that you have a great meal and experience. Everything is squeaky-clean, lots of cool stuff being done at this venue. Our family loved it and looks forward to getting out to Uncle Doug's again.

The brisket was delicious, juicy, and tender! Their sauce is sweet and tangy. You can tell that they are passionate about bbq.The people who run it are the real treasure! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming!I have found a new place for exceptional bbqs. Just make sure you get there early! With meat this good they probably sell out fast!

Have you ever had to lie a little about a relative's baby, boyfriend, girlfriend or cooking? Of course you have. So you know how sweet it is when you really can say "This is great. This looks great. Feels great. Or tastes great. " That's my experience at Uncle Dougs. I can truly say this is a great place with a most unique experience. The food is outstanding. Fork tender BBQ, smoke filled and juicy. Served with rolls that reminds me of my grandmother's. Great place to hang out too. Farmers market, chocolate kitchen, unique gift items and sitting on the back porch firepit and water views. Just get up and go. You'll be happy you did.

Met friends here while we were in town. Ended up with 6 adults and 4 kids (16 months-8 years old). For the sanity of the other patrons, we asked to be seated outside. Porch picnic tables were a fabulous spot. Adults socialized while kids ran in the grass and played in the windmill water trough. Staff was super friendly, Uncle Doug (I think) came out to visit with us for a while, and food was great. Do yourself a favor and make room for the cobbler with ice cream.

It was ok. Friendly staff, super clean restroom...brisket was good. Ribs were meaty yet not seasoned much. Service was ok. Asked for coffee with cream and sugar and ended up having to use a knife to get sugar out of what appeared to be a candle stick holder....awkward and unnecessary event!!

I ... and you will appreciate every effort of these folks to make our world a better place. Great recipes that make the tastebuds ~~~dance~~~ and a nice surprise at every corner. What I especially love are the ... Wait! If I tell you ... then they will be sold out when I go to get some, because they are "delicious!". Uncle Doug's is a cut above the rest and it looks like they are just beginning to Rock!

This is a very cool place with a very friendly staff. They have a neat little store with spices, jellies, candies and whatnot. We didn't eat at the BBQ but it looks like it is amazing. They also sell yard art.

Uncle Doug's is a good BBQ place not too far from town. Victor and the rest of the staff are amazing and they treat you how a customer is supposed to be treated. Definitely made us feel like family and we are very grateful. Thanks again
