Completely shocked and disgusted with conditions of all the live fish tanks here. They were filthy, mold and disgusting water. Fish are mixed in with fish they shouldn’t be with causing the bigger fish to eat off their fins leaving them helpless and suffering. (Pictures included)Then to top it off the water temperatures are at 54. Not ok. Inhumane to say the least!

Needed Pookie's hair trimmed but they ended up shaving her! One photo is before, the other is after. Poor Pookie!Edit in response to Petco's reply: It's not really that big of a deal. It will grow back out. I just have to keep her away from any mirrors until then. 🤣

Love this place but the team in the grooming department are absolutely amazing. Wonderful attitude wonderful experience for my babies and myself. Brandi was so helpful and the team with her just made my day so much better. My pups luv them for sure

Went in for a last minute grooming appointment I booked the night before. I got Juana and I honestly should've listened to the reviews. The other girl checking us in was very kind, bubbly, and had fantastic customer service. But I couldn't help but notice Juana at the computer being kind of mean & condescending towards her. I was advised that there was some matting in areas towards the ends of my doodle's coat so she would likely have to go shorter. I wanted her to go short anyway so I said okay but I didn't think they would cut off as much as they did as they were able to run comb through the majority of dogs coat except towards the ends.When I picked her up I was shocked with how much they poodled my doodle. They were busy so I just paid and left but (but not before Juana told the nice girl at the counter to tell me that she tried to even put my dogs face as much as possible but it was really choppy when she came in, which honestly was the least of my concerns when I saw her & the added comment added insult to injury).When we got home and I inspected her further I noticed that areas were uneven & she got cut so short that you could see the literal path the razor went based on the pattern. Her tail is also choppy and the base of her tail is completely shaved. Her head (scalp, not even her face) is uneven and more cone shaped than round.I completely understand that mats need to be addressed but I really do think that more hair was salvageable than what was cut off. I feel that this groomer just went ahead and shaved as much as possible off to make the entire job less effort.I'm usually very chill and understanding and never write reviews but I felt compelled to after my experience. Only reason I gave it two stars is because of the girl who checked my dog in. I know it was a very busy & overwhelming day but she still served everyone with a smile.Here's a before & after -

We are never coming back to this Petco location. Don’t get your dogs groomed here. Don’t waste your time because they won’t respect it. This location was used out of convenience.We recently had booked dog grooming appointments that were cancelled for allegedly showing up “late”. No grace given even though it was less than 5 minutes and my husband waited while the groomers inside tended to a customer and their dog inside for 15-20 minutes. This happens frequently and we’ve always been patient. During Covid and after they have a rule about not having multiple dogs inside the station at a time.They told my husband that it’s at the discretion of the groomers to decline or cancel any pre booked appointment. My husband asked the grooming employee, grooming manager and store manager, if that meant if you are there early for a pre booked appointment that it can still be cancelled? They answered yes. If you’re not inside their lobby they won’t acknowledge the time you actually arrived. You’ve been warned.

Honestly, trash!!!! Can't call to schedule nail clipping. Only open from 10-4 for walk in!? Took off work early to drive from ft worth. Arrive 3 minutes before 4!!! Groomers state they cant take her. Never spending another dime here. Lost a customer for life! I know it doesn't hurt that much petco. But it will eventually

It's dirty, correction it's nasty, the floor is absolutely covered in fur, the hand washing station was clearly not cleaned in months, the fish tanks are dank, the ferrets had an eye infection. The stench was overwhelming. There's PetCos and then there's this abomination.Update: I received a response saying they will make cleanliness a priority. Upon reviewing my observations, I reviewed other comments, and it clearly shows this was not an isolated event. Already two months of continuous negative feedback from this Petco and they continue to respond these comments with a sad corporate apology " we will make it a priority". Two months in and still this Petco pushes on daily as if it was allergic to cleaning products and decency.

Did the VetCo experience. Quick review:First, this was my first time using VetCo.Second, I own a large dog and this makes social environments difficult to navigate.Third, price was very affordable.Longer review:My young XL dog (3yo, Dane/Mastiff) received annual shots. I completed the online appointment forms and specified what services I wanted.First, I wasn't aware that the VetCo services did not have a secure location like the grooming center where I could take my dog in. Having a separate space would have helped because my dog became very overwhelmed with the other dogs, animals, and people.Since he is a large male dog, many people seemed to fear him even if he was sitting next to me. The aisle were tight, the stations didn't have signs, which resulted in my dog and I squeezing around people and walking aimlessly through store until I happened upon the service station - a table with three people dressed in scrubs. Still no signage.Second, the person checking me in did not have access to my schedule forms that I filled out prior to the appointment. I was unsure of the specifics and they didn't offer me to review services... Which resulted in me paying for additional testing and services that we didn't need. This could be an error on both sides as I was already overwhelmed by this point. In the future, I will print out or screen shot specific services that I want prior to the appointment.Lastly, beyond the struggle bus I experienced with the dogs and people in such tight aisles, I plan to be more prepared and schedule appointments earlier in the day so the store isn't so busy when we go. The staff were pretty nice and handled my dog well even though he didn't want to get on the scale. Again, the price was affordable. I hope that they will create signs to help guide customers.

Brandie and Juana are amazing!!! When I took my dog in for the first time, I was a little nervous. But they listened to what I wanted done for my sweet Zoey and they exceeded my expectations. What a great place to take your dog for a good grooming, nail cutting and bath.

It's Petco. They have almost everything you could ever need for common house pets. When you get more niche, like lizards, snakes, ferrets, birds, etc the supply they offer to take care of your pet is good when you already have a good environment built for your companion, however they really only offer the bare minimum to be able to set up an actual habitat that is appropriate for your pets size and you'll likely find yourself upgrading quickly if you do your research on what your pets actually need in order to be happy and healthy.

Half of the aquarium's are not taken care of and overcrowded with fish. Multiple ethical concerns with some of the tanks. We were waiting for over 20 minutes just to get two fish. No one was able to help us so we took the net and bag and scooped up the 2 fish we needed, they refused to sell us the fish after we told them to we grabbed them instead of a worker grabbing them and said we “contaminated” their tank. Its very bold to talk about contamination and caring about your tank when half of your saltwater tanks aren't even cleaned or taken care of. Terrible service

When they want you to sign up for their programs they give u all .. had booked a grooming for my puppy . Came in 10 mins late.. the girl at the reception comes out after 10 mins and says… o you guys are late so we need to reschedule the appointment.. At 5 in the evening coming from Dallas .. everyone knows the traffic.. but she was sorry the staff has to leave as well.. we are backed up with other dogs tell me you have taken more than scheduled appointments.. not happy with the service.

We have been taking our puppy King a white Cavapoo to get his haircut here, and Brad has always done such a perfect job with him! He is very precise with the detailing in his job, and he makes sure to know exactly what kind of cut/treatments I want for him. Could not have asked for a better groomer for my puppy.Brad is so good around king and King loves to be around him. If you want to make sure your dogs grooming is done right ask for Brad!!! Thanks brad!

I took Pepper for her first grooming visit today and while she looks great and the groomers were excellent, I felt totally deceived by how this holiday special was presented to me. I was told that this bath package was $65 and then encouraged to sign up on the app for 20% off. Once I went to pick up Pepper and pay, they had broken the services out on the print out which only allowed the 20% off coupon to be applied to just the bath portion and not the “bath package.” This was so misleading and really outside of my budget. Businesses have a right to their prices but I would have chosen another place to have my dog groomed that was more in my price range. I am very upset at this experience.

When I was standing in line to check out, a man attempted to kick my puppy in the face and threatened to get his gun out of his car and shoot me. Nothing happened to the man and all I received was an apology. I feel very unsafe bringing my dog or myself back in that store and so should anyone with their fur baby!!

I was INCREDIBLY disheartened and upset with the state of the aquatic animals in this store.At least 1/2 the betta cups had murky, brown tone water with an excess of waste and food, another 1/3 were appearing quite ill of things like popeye and dropsy, and an additional 1/4 were just flat out deceased in their cups. I never anticipate the best husbandry or pristine conditions in establishments, but this very blatantly stood out.In addition, the entire fish wall was covered in water stains, clouded tanks, or murky tanks. The sparse fish that were stocked were in similar health crisis to the bettas.The final straw that had me honest to god distressed was the 8+ inch long Oscar, stuck with another of its kind in a 1ftx2ftx2ft tank where he could essentially only hover in the same spot, or maybe turn around in.I truly hope to never step foot in this store again, despite being a customer here for years. The state it’s been allowed to degrade into is not something I can support.

Went there with my significant other and saw a cat that caught our heart, went to ask about it and the front desk worker who quickly got the MANAGER. who then told us that we had to adopt through the city and not petco. We call the city and they say that we just give petco the cash and the cat is ours. Upon return the cat is gone and the employee said that we could have put a hold on the cat and that the manager was clueless. This store has an upper management that is uneducated and unprofessional. Highly do not recommend if looking to adopt.

I love their selection of things for dogs better than other pet stores!Recently took my pup to be groomed by Mallory. The groomers said my pup did fine which I was surprised about. It took about 2 or 3 hours but my pup looked great. They know how to calm a dog down 🙂

Petco employees are great. New puppy and didn't know what was needed and they did me right. Not too much but just enough. Groomers are awesome for my Snickers. She doesn't like anyone messing with her feet but they do a great job on her paws.

From drop off to check out it was a wonderful experience. The girl who I was talking with was caring and really listened to what I wanted for my dog, and the person who did the groom did exactly what I wanted. And to top it all I had a wonderful interaction with the guy at the register while checking out (tallish guy with shoulder length curly hair.) and he was just absolutely delightful. Will definitely keep coming here.

Great selection, but get rid of the creepy Blue Buffalo guy. I just want to buy cat food, not to be interrogated about my cats and their food preferences. He doesn't read social cues too see that I'm not interested in chatting, and I'm too non-confrontational to tell the guy to F off and let me shop in peace. I'm just going to buy my snake food and leave until I don't have to endure an awkward social interaction just to buy cat food.
