Great place if you need just about anything for animals, including farm animals l. They have a pet hospital for chickens. If you want to see many live chicken types in one place and read about them. If you need first aid equipment l, this pace has you covered. Don't forget to look upon the office door and see the Declaration of Independence in bac and white l. It was first signed by John Hancock! This pace is a hidden gem😎

Bought about a dozen copper marans a few months ago - the past 2 weeks they have been just dropping dead. I've had no other problems with any other birds in my flock, just the copper marans. I've currently got 2 left and 1 is definitely on her way out. If I am paying $13 a bird, I expect at least a few of them to survive. Clearly there is a genetic issue here.Also, every time we go in, the brooders have several dead chicks & at least 1/3 of the chicks have pasty butt. Yall....take better care of your animals. You used to do better, not sure what has changed. Just disappointing.

Friendly helpful staff! And the seed selection and prices are very impressive. My father found some soil amendments he said he had been looking for, with a huge smile. That alone was worth the trip. And Frizzy Freddy the red Bantam rooster made me wish I had a chicken coop so I could take him home.

Super friendly. I have posted a few of the types of chickens they had at the time I was there. In conversation, I told them of a specific breed I was looking for. They made a phone call, and 2 days later, I was walking out with that specific breed. I was floored. No one has ever given that type of service to me at a store like this. I will be making the extra drive to go here more often!

Ok. Icky sweet people work here. Thats a compliment. I might stop in when just having a bad day...not to buy something...just to have them brighten my day. We had an amazing experience with them. They helped make our fall festival awesome. Thanks for the straw rental!

Absolutely wonderful! It is so nice to be in a farm store where the employees actually answer questions and can give recommendations. All of the animals looked healthy, pens were actually clean, even the shop cats looked well taken care of. As soon as I am ready for chicks I will be buying from them.

Such a nice place and people here, they ran out of roosters when we went in. The girls in the counter the other guy every one working there came up as a team and helped us we didn’t mind they ran out of roosters because they were super friendly and helpful. And the nicest thing they did was a middle aged guy made sure we don’t go bare hands so instead offer us the one that was for him so nice and kind gesture. Definitely coming back for more roosters.Thank you so much for your top notch customer service and making us feel home.

Very clean COOL store if you have or want animal supplies. They had a big variety of baby chick's for sale. Hay, feed& tack...you name it. I liked the variety of dog supplies. Lots to choose from. Great stuff and reasonable.

Perfect place to find some of your odds and ends needs for "farm life". Has one of the better variety of chicks in town or in the area, and they're healthy. The fact that they'll take in roosters to rehome is amazing. The staff is also friendly!

Wow the service that you get from D&L in Argyle, Denton I have cows and chickens, and I am new at this, they have given us advice what products to use what to feed, they even deliver.They supplied us with our first chicken cage and first flock of chickens and lots to pick from.Thanks D&L for great service

I love the D&L Denton location! They are so clean, and you can tell they really love their customers! I always feel appreciated there, and they have always gone out of their way to make sure I am treated well and happy with every purchase. They also have the best chicken variety around and at great prices! The more expensive chickens are the adult hens that are already laying.The baby chicks are priced extremely well... and with so many special ordered breeds! I have never seen a store carry such HEALTHY chicks & adult chickens year round! I love that they don't vaccinate their chickens to keep them all natural and organic if that's the rout you want to go with your flock like so many are. :)D&L...Great store, great staff, great inventory, and great family from Argyle who owns it. If you've ever thought about stopping in but haven't. You should! Not your typical feed store!- Customer for life

Always a great place for anything you need for you chickens or if you need laying hens or chicks of many kinds! Usually their laying hens are only Cinnamon Queens or Rhode Island Reds though. Today we went by and spoke with them and they adopted an older crowd of hens from an older woman who couldn't care for them anymore. This business has a big heart ❤️! My husband and I love it here!!

We travel from Grand Prairie to visit D & L! We purchased our backyard chickens here, and our girls are growing up healthy and happy.The staff is incredible! So friendly, helpful, and don't mind answering all your questions. They were great with my boys too. The prices are great, and the store is very clean. Can't say enough great things.
