so far so good! just Adopted a beautiful cat today! and the staff have been very helpful staying late hours to get everything prepared for me... I am now currently waiting for pick up next week, me and my wife are beyond excited for pick up and *************it is fast and easy to adopt here. is best to show up and see what they got in person than website, not saying website is bad, it is resourceful but I just get a better experience in person than online-PIC with ME & CAT she looks scared but I am ready to take her in and make her feel conmfortable at our hone

I went to DAWG on a mercy mission trying to adopt a cat ON FRIDAY EVENING 11-3-23 for my wife & son who suffers from a loosing there cat. As a matter of necessity I wanted a under a year old young female/ male orange color. It was to be a totally inside cat the cat i looked at was named Claudia DGTX-A-18286 was told it was a foster cat . the voluteer said the ca having surgery on monday 11/06/23 said we can go online do the adopt paperwork and she would be ready tueday morning 11-7-23 both the voluteer and the voluteer boss said it so that what we did got on computer and sent one in was told in face we was the only one sent one in . find out tuesday when showing up after they wouldnt pick up there phone during buiesiness hrs and text the wired number saying we never seen the cat tat we would like to get it tuesday and wasted 4 hrs in this that the cat was sold to someone else . now i would say they run a bait and switch buiness why bc we both know the market for the cats that kind is rare and vauled . now aslo coming there signs say come to rear door well there not one the rear door would be bye there dumpsters which is fire ext . someone that does lots of buiness locally it said that this one cant get my support and locals that gave me them had mixed reviews when it comes to them with both dawgs local suck . they have staffing and other problems belame each other .look like they need outside adpot that does the adpot that has nothing to do with dawgs or foster person to reivew each adpot and get payment . i think foster animlas shouldn't be up on the website saying availble so that it keep the website uptodate as the cat still listed up today 11/09/23. its aslo could just be the foster person not want to have it adpot this why sometime it 50/50 dealing with foster care its just like the kids in real life up to the judge here it up to foster care .after 5 days to say it not there im left to go other place looking for the same animal . they should have a law in place that foster care has to pay taxes on animals they say or have someone sale bc many can just foster it then sale like a auction and make that $$$$.do i say there doing it idk but i can say word of month is still and can be a lie . never know when your going here like 50/50 and that the bottom line.

I love this place!! My boyfriend and I have adopted two pets from here. A dog and a kitten. The volunteers are super nice and DAWG does everything in their power to make sure that if you adopt a pet with heartworm they get treated. I HIGHLY recommend adopting from this place.

Wonderful place that helps the community!!! If your having struggling to pay for your pets they have a program to pick up a free bag of dog food every week for 6 months!! And offer fee to low cost vaccination clinics!! Wonderful people !!

Donated some unopened medication my dog didn't need. I told them about our new adoptee, a 1 yr old brown pit mix female, and Bruce showed me Lucy, a black and white pit mix. I went back the next day to adopt her and make her part of our family. The staff and volunteers there are friendly and love the animals in their care. And they are a no-kill facility. Would love to bring all the animals home with me but can't. Please go and give these precious souls a loving, forever home! Adopt, don't shop!!

Yes I have been a foster for four puppies. Three male and one female well unfortunately the female passed away but there were one left of the little brown puppies and I fell in love with the little brown boy he looked just like a little bear and I said no first when I took them back to Denison animal shelter. I just could not help myself my older my oldest dog that I had has not been seen in several days we think that he may have wondered off to die because he's over 15 years old and not in a very good health and he's been gone for quite a while never been gone this long and we've searched for him everywhere and cannot find him so Friday night I went over and I adopted Little Bear that's what we're going to name him Little Bear after my oldest dog that just disappeared and I just love that shelter that they do such good work

I went to DAWG on a mercy mission trying to adopt a rescue cat for my son who suffers from a severe anxiety issue. As a matter of necessity I wanted a young female Siamese or Calico. It was to be a totally inside cat and I wanted it to be declawed as my cat is to prevent furniture and curtain damage. As it is my son is very emotional now as we were refused adoption. My cat came from Pet Smart and I had her declawed at Bryan County Animal clinic. Declawing made her a loving cat with no issues whatsoever. I will discourage anyone who thinks about going there.

We dropped off our male cat for neutering. Our carrier was a bit small for him but he could crouch comfortably in it. All animals must be able to stand after surgery. I didn't know that and that he would then be put back in the carrier and placed in an area behind the tables where owners dropped off or picked up their pets until we arrived. They were not checked on during this time period. We picked up the carrier and our cat looked like he was drowsy. When we got home,  we had to take apart the carrier because he apparently was deceased when we picked him up and rigor mortis was already setting in. No one knew what happened or that he had died.My point is....THEY DO NOT MONITOR YOUR PET AFTER LEAVING SURGERY!
