I would like to start by saying that a lot needs to improve as far as the customer service for this location. I’m not sure whether the other manager is but it was never like this. There was always someone at the register people always greet. You literally today I was waiting upfront and, the clerk that they have with t The ponytail and I think it’s blonde on the end. Her customer service is a zero if I could write lower than that I would.. It’s literally every morning you go there upfront I spoke with the manager, but I don’t feel like she’s going to do anything about speaking to her. Hopefully the corporate can step up and get this issue fixed.

In the evenings I’ve gone in for a snack or something quick and the employees are GREAT I’ll start with that, but I went in today during the day and there were boxes everywhere and Christmas pillows on the floor I did have to go in front of my babies stroller and clean up to be able to pass through. I got home and 2/3 of the items I purchased tasted weird and when I checked the dates were months past expired. It’s not safe or fair to sell old food. Hopefully people are checking before giving their kids food from here.

Shelves empty most of the time. Poor customer service. Outdated can food. Freezer that holds frozen food is out alot. Needs new management.

I grab an item or two here occasionally, store maintenance is not great, trash can as u walk into the store is always overflowing. Shelves sometimes pretty bare. Could not find a cashier trying to check out. They had signs saying “no bags”. Maybe a new store manager would help the situation.

While my husband was getting the chicken nuggets and self checking out, there was a man trash talking my husband in Spanish in assumption that my husband could not understand. This kind of thing sometimes happens to my husband as he is fair skined. However, he is Spanish, so he speaks and understands. This man, however, crossed the line as he not only was insulting my husband but motioned to cut his head off. That is the only reason my husband chose to reveal he understood, and even then, he kept himself composed and told the man to have a good day in Spanish. The man then ran to the back of the store to a woman working there this morning. My husband says he is not sure if the man works there or not. If he does, then please have a meeting with your staff about keeping personal religions/ political ideas out of the workplace as not every man who dresses alternative is gay and regardless he can not speak about customers like that at work. I almost had my husband take our 1 year old with him. Would it have been alright to you for a child to witness that? If that was just some man who also harasses the workers, then I could only hope you would ban him. If it is a worker, I expect some sort of discipline and training on how to treat ALL customers.

All Dollar General's are pretty much the same: narrow aisles packed with primarily cheap Chinese junk, lots of stuff in carts needing to be stocked/shelved...this particular store is poorly managed IMHO...today - as usual - 3 employees with 2 in the office popping in and out, they can clearly see what's going on...one employee at one of the 2 available registers, one patron struggling to check themself out at the self serve register, 8 people in line waiting to check out...Hey manager! Customers are being held up, open both registers and get them out of your store - when things slow down, you can hide in your office again...SHEEESH!

They always have a cool selection of stuff you can grab quick without having to run all the way into town. Those lines is what get you though. Even with 2 on checkout sometimes lines are pretty thick. Other than that the store is cool. The workers are always nice and the store is clean every time I have gone in.

Pallet apon pallet of eggs, milk, cheese, creamer, frozen foods all hot just in the issue. One worker on registrar when told about the food that was no longer safe to sell due to temperatures of the food. I was informed she was on register and no other employee was working she would stock it in fridge later

The store was really well stocked and organized. Now the check out line was half way to the back of the store but the young lady at the register was doing her best. She was very polite but they sure could use more cashiers.

There are always too many carts in the isles. Seems as though somebody was stocking and just left. Leaving all their mess on the floor. Lines too long. Always one cahier. I've seen them open a second register once the lines are to long to manage. If I see 2-3 cars parked at front of store, I don't stop.

Store is generally clean and stocked and even carry a few 'special' things such as almondmilk. But they never have enough staff working the registers and almost always a line. Very slow at getting customers through.

I am so sick of going to the register with an on sale item and they don't honor it. Every time I go back to show them they have some excuse. This time was that is not supposed to be there. The sticker is clearly over the item i purchased. She pulled it off and did not honor the sale. Get it straight people. Cant wait for HEB!!

Store is a mess. Del Valle needs to step it up. No one wants to drive over 10 miles to go somewhere else, but this store is horrendous. Parking is aweful store is messy and I think it's overpriced. Taking advantage of the fact that there is nothing else around there really.

Found what I needed at a good price and they have digital coupons for a lot of things I normally get. Love there $5 off $25 sale every Saturday. If paired with coupons, I have walked out with $40 -$50 worth of stuff for around $10 to $15...!

Much cleaner seems nicer to visit than most Dollar General stores. The staff is almost universally pleasant to do business with. Sincere thanks to everyone who works hard there.

I got stood up by the manager when he never showed for my scheduled job interview, this was a year ago, don't know if this manager is still there but it was very unprofessional. Staff is very unfriendly as well, and you almost need a tetanus shot before entering due to the filthy conditions...

Doesn't seem to matter when you go, this store always has a long check out line. However, it's the only place close by to shop at with out going and paying convenience store prices. The money you save shopping here is worth standing in the long lines.

First time at this particular Dollar General. Not impressed. If you decide to come to this one do not come on a Saturday as they only had one person at the register and there were at least 15 people in line. This is absolutely unacceptable. I need to hire one extra person on Saturday can't be that difficult.

This store needs new management or something. 20 people in line and only 1 register open then the cashier has to call the other person on net cell phone 15 feet away for help when she can see how long the line is

This place always has a line because only one person is working behind the register. Don't expect to be in and out as it has taken up to 15min standing in line. Also dont expect to use a basket with your child in it because they always have racks blocking idles and ways around the store and I'm not leaving my baby unattended to get something. I'm 100% sure once a real grocery store opens up in the area this place will be a ghost town...Until then avoid it at all costs.

Good place for the neighborhood of Del Valle getting items you may need, very convenient than driving 11 miles to Walmart. It's a quick in/ out place.

Bunch of lazy employees, the Manager is worthless which reflects right down to the other staff by far the worst store I have shopped at. STAY AWAY DONT WASTE TIME OR MONEY HERE

Nice store usually has everything I'm looking for just the only complaint is that it has bad outside lighting they have light fixtures but only two are working it gets very dark at night maybe replace the burnt lights to improve outside lighting of your parking lot for safety reasons.

It's just like a convenience store it's a lot closer to get stuff from the dollar store rather than drive all the way into Austin or Bastrop to HEB I will never go to Walmart

What store closes at 8:50!!! Stores normally close on the hour. 9 pm, 10 pm, 11 pm. Customers should be able to enter until the closing hour. What kind of business are you running over there???
