We loving refer to this spot as “the ranch” or “sleep away camp!” Our dog Gus has been going there since we adopted him in 2016. They are so good with him even as he ages and becomes more cranky. We love the staff and the new facilities are wonderful!

I live in the same neighborhood of Barking Springs Barking Ranch. My experience was excellent! They are kind, caring and professional. The dogs that were there seemed very happy to be there. When I came for the meet and greet play date, there was another dog who was just over the moon to return. They are also flexible if you have to drop off your dog during they’re closed hours. They make it very easy and safe to do a drop off. I recommend this place 100%!! it feels so good to know that there is a place I could feel confident and secure about leaving my dog while we are away.

I love taking my dog here for daycare or boarding. The staff is very friendly and organized. My dog is the most excited when he gets to go here. His ears perk up immediately if I say “Alisha”! They take great care of the dogs even in extreme weather conditions (like a winter storm…)I always recommend this place for dog boarding to all my friends and family.

Our pup Max always has a blast here! He always comes back tired and happy. They have such wonderful staff that always remember his name and he wags his tail and runs to them so excited and doesn’t even look back! They are also very easy to book with. We always take Max here to board and we never worry about him. Plus they have a great Instagram account where they put up pictures of the pups so we can check on them while we are away.

We have been very happy with this place. Our dog just got back from a week there. I think he had fun. The scheduling process is a breeze. Availability seems really good. They are amazing at communication. Price was good. The only thing I’d love is a pic or two of my dog while I’m away. ;)

Great, personalized service. Lots of outdoor time for our dog. We've found Duke's home away from home.Updated after a change of ownership and policy last year: they no longer take intact males, so Duke can't enjoy Barking Springs anymore. We were disappointed in this change because they were one of the few places which would take Duke.

Gave this place a try for about a year and overall it’s just okay.Got my dog bathed here twice and she was still soaken wet when I picked her up both times. Not sure why you’d leave a dog wet.Also came to pick her up one time and she was in the crates because they were understaffed that day. So who knows how long she was sitting around in a crate. If this is ever the case, owners should be called and refunded. I’d rather have my dog stay at home than pay for her to sit in a crate

Words can't express how much we LOVE Barking Springs Dog Ranch!!!! We have 3 dogs and we were fortunate enough to be referred to Barking Springs a little over a year ago. Since then, our dogs have stayed numerous times. Our dogs absolutely love being there and my husband and I are so at ease when we go out of town knowing they are well taken care of and having the best time! We get updates and photos during their stay which are so nice to receive when we are away. Pricing is very competitive and affordable and additional services like bath add-ons and pick up/drop off options are amazing as well. The dogs also get tons of play time outside which is not super common when you board pets at most facilities. They always come home tired and happy! :)Recently, we had some complications during my pregnancy that left us out of town for a few weeks and in the hospital. Barking Springs took such amazing care of our fur babies and made that portion of our time away so stress free. We consider the entire staff to be family and are so appreciative for all the love and attention they give our babies. I cannot recommend this company enough. We are barking springs customers for life and highly recommend them to all our friends, family, and anyone looking for high quality pet care from people who will love your pets as much as you do!

My pup absolutely LOVES Barking Springs for daycare! If you’re even questioning it, just do it. I was so nervous the first day I dropped my dog off, I cried…and when I went to pick him up, he didn’t want to leave! My sweet boy always comes back happy and EXHAUSTED after a long day of play!The staff here is amazing—everyone is so loving and they genuinely care about your pup. I almost didn’t want to leave this review because Barking Springs is a well kept secret near Austin, BUT I have to give credit where credit is due. Thank you Barking Springs!

I brought my dog to Barking Springs for three weeks of boarding & it was such a great experience from evaluation day to pickup! My pup had a blast, I loved seeing photos of him pop up on their IG having fun outside with other dogs & enjoying all their land. He was super happy when I picked him up & the Barking Springs staff were very accommodating to his special needs. They were also communicative with me & patient with my many check ins during his stay! We are looking forward to his next overnight. I highly recommend Barking Springs & so does my dog! :)

Best place to board your active dog! We bring our hyperactive pointer here for daycare and boarding and it’s the best place by far (we had tried a bunch before finding this magical place!). The dogs can run free in a huge fenced area all day and the staff is great. All other places have tiny yards and leave the dogs inside a lot but at Barking Springs it feels like the dogs are really free. Great for dogs that can run around all day and need tons of exercise like ours.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Barking Springs. We have been taking my dog Cooper there for the past 7 years, and my dog Penny for the past 5 and they take the BEST care of my puppies. There is nothing like the peace of mind I get when I leave my dogs there. They are absolutely wonderful, so friendly and I just know my doggies are in good hands with Alisha and crew. Pros:Super friendly staff and super careful of who they accept into the boarding/daycare.They definitely respect your pets safety first!Free evaluation dayCons:Rejected my SUPER friendly 5 month old puppy because he was too playful with the other dogs and didnt understand their social cues when they wanted to stop playing.Overall it wasn't a good fit for us and im glad they didn't accept my boy because I don't want him getting hurt in a place that cant handle his situation.But If you have a high energy puppy like my vizsla who loves other dogs and doesn't just yet understand social cues.... wouldn't recommend and probably a waste of time. It seems that they solely rely on the other dogs to " correct"your puppy.Other than that, I would give it a shot because they seem a great option for chiller/older dogs.

We've tried numerous places to board our Labrador Dash over the years and Barking Springs is by far the best. They are attentive, have a great ranch area out by the airport, are friendly, and boy does our pup have a blast staying here! She always comes home tired and happy. When we go on vacation she gets one too :-) They also offer baths , flexible pick up times, and send you photos periodically so you can see how your dog is doing.

I have been taking my dog to Barking Springs Dog Ranch for 4 years now. I have never had an issue. My dog is well taken care and enjoys his time there. The staff goes above and beyond. My dog had an ear infection and they called me right away. They cleaned his ear and give him ear drops. I enjoy the pictures they send me of his stay.

Barking Springs was recommended to us by our dog's trainer, and we have been nothing but thrilled with the service we've received here ever since. We've brought our rescue chow/shepherd mix out here for trips as short as a workday and as long as 2 1/2 weeks and we never ever worry about her while we're on vacation. In fact, the last time we picked her up she looked longingly out the rear window of the car as we drove away (but then smiled her big smile and took a big nap when we got home). They've always been very flexible with drop off and pickup, they follow up and take pictures of our dog enjoying herself while she's there, and the airport proximity is very convenient. I hope Barking Springs is here for many dog years to come!

Great place! Our almost 2yr old Aussie lady loves it always gets excited as we get near. She loves her playtime with friends outside. Love the photos they send of her during her stays. Staff are always helpful. Never experienced anything wrong with the place always excellent service and staff. Very flexible in terms of booking and pick up times are huge wins for this family as plans sometimes change.

Convenient to the Austin Airport. Super easy drop-off & pick-up. My 3 Rhodesian Ridgeback girls had a blast. I felt peaceful & confident they were happy, safe & well cared for. I got updates & photos each morning from Alisha. I will definitely be back & highly recommend.Thank you Jessica!! ❤️

The ABSOLUTE best place to take your large, overactive dog needing proper tuckered-out exercise!! Very reasonable rates. Amazing, friendly, caring staff. Our dog loves going there! Wish it was closer to town, but this is probably why the rates are amazing 🤗

I worked here as a teenager, and loved it! It's owned by a good Christian family that truly care about all of the dogs they are entrusted with. They have a large pool of consistent customers that travel from all over central Texas to let their dogs be at Barking Springs. The property is used as a free-range play setting. The dogs are let out in groups (depending on how the dogs get along) and played with. The dogs are also watched over consistently and well. I highly recommend Barking Springs to anyone with dog kennel needs. Short or long term.

Great place. Our pup came back exhausted and dirty but healthy and with a smile on his face! He made a ton of friends. The staff are friendly and obviously care for the dogs. Put us at ease to know our pet was having fun and being social while we were traveling.

I've had my German short-haired pointer for about 6 years. In that time I have taken him to four different facilities. This is the only one that gets him excited. You can tell a lot by the way your dog acts when you arrive to a over-night facility. He loves all the running room, the friendly staff, and seeing all the farm animals. About a month ago he hurt his elbow. Jess got him to the vet and was excellent about keeping me posted. Great to know they are caring for him the way I would myself.

My dogs love it when we make the drive out to the ranch because they know they're going to have a wonderful time. They get excited as we approach and are exhausted when we pick them up. I'm always grateful when the crew send us pics of our dogs enjoying themselves while we're away.
