The new location is fantastic. I wasn't sure about some of the questions on this survey so I recommend calling. They have wide variety of safety equipment. We went to find replacement exhaust fan for our home built in 1957...they had it - plus choices in color, speed variety. Definitely call them and ask. All the sales staff were helpful, knowledgeable. The are in a new location so be sure to make sure you get directions to the new warehouse. We went to old location and our hearts just sank bc if Grainger don't have it - you don't need it. Thank you for decades of wonderful service.

Yeah I went there to get a simple thing still in line for 20 minutes basically they're company policy is to interrogate you for every personal information they can find made the line not move at all even the girl apologized for having to ask for this information won't be returning.

I called today at 3:45-3:50 (they close at 4), in order to see if someone could await a hot shot pick up. Through their customer service agent, they sent a message to the store. Nick called me right away and told me he would stay (along with others) to await the pick up which arrived around 4:10-4:15pm to get loaded. I greatly appreciate the excellent customer service from their representatives and from Nick and the other employees who waited past closing - on a Friday no less! Thanks again to Nick and the Deer Park Grainger team!

I had ordered a retainer on line and set it for curbside pickup. It was for my front door to hold the glass in. I picked up the order and took it home to install. When I opened the tube that it came in I realized that the part was not going to fit the door. My door is over 20 years old and finding parts for it of course is difficult. On line the picture of the part looked similar to what I needed by alas it wasn't. I took the part back to the store where I picked it up and the salesman was very helpful. He looked through their inventory to see if he could find the right part but to no avail. He issued me a refund and I left hoping I could find the right part somewhere else.

This used to be a great place to get most of what you need for a job. These days it's just frustrating trying to help some youngster that doesn't know what various fittings or tools are. If they can find it on the computer, and if they have it, and if you can put up with the frustration, it's a great place. If I'm ever forced to go back again I plan to wait for a customer service representative that's been in the trades long enough to know what I'm asking for.And the phone system is worse than the store, multiple calls and after the virtual system BS, each time I ended up with a friendly delightful young person who had no idea what I was asking for but if I could give them a part number they'd be glad to look it up and tell me if they have one and where they have it. I am past being able to deal with this ineptitude.

I come to Grainger, because my company has an account with them. But it doesn’t do any good. They never have what we need in stock. The answer is “we can have tomorrow”. Grainger’s prices are way high than any other stores. People didn’t normally mind paying the higher price because they use to have it in stock at the store. Now if you need it make sure you order it two days in advance. Because it will have to be shipped to the store and that won’t be until at least noon the next day. They have all the shelving in the back but most of it is empty. Absolutely ridiculous!! This is not the first time. This is a review due to this happening over the past couple years. If I didn’t need to come here, I wouldn’t.

A bit frustrated I can’t dial straight to a local branch. Have to route through a disengaged call center. I can buy product at any indifferent box store. My preference is to build business relationships.I know, an archaic mindset these days.Edited 14May2021Dropped rating down to 1 star due to Grainger response to review, asserting (in a friendly way) that their methodology of service was superior to customer needs. Every business has challenges with inventory not always properly reflecting accurate number (eg inventory shows 2 each of item X when there are none actually on the shelf). I have had more than one wasted trip due to this unfortunate circumstance.

I wanted to take a minute to thank Miss Barbara and Jimmy at Grainger in Deer Park. I have always been met with exceptional customer service and a willingness to go the extra mile to help me me out. Overall the crew at Deer Park is awesome, highly recommend this store for any of your purchasing needs!!

They have good service not always stocked with everything but will order for you. But they will threaten not to serve you if you mask pops off while talking. That was my 1st experience here. 2nd not far off from the first. I get theres an order to wear masks but what happend to freedoms? I wear my mask but my beard pulls it off while talking. I dont always notice it and the fact they would refuse service is rediclous!

I buy a lot of tools and hardware from Grainger, and usually enjoy the availability of items from this company. Recently I had a problem with an item that came to be defective in every way possible. When I tried to return the item to the Deer Park Branch, the sale clerk refused to refund, return, or exchange the item that was in question. When I asked to speak to the manager, he also refused the same because the item was used and stated that he cannot verify that the item was faulty. I tried to explain to him that I usually buy the item from McMaster-Carr, but went with Grainger because I was saving quite a bit more. Clearly the item was cheaper than McMaster because it is of inferior quality, but the manager simply said that I should of continued using McMaster's product if there was not any problem with it and that I will not get this item refunded or exchanged. It has only been 10 days since I bought the item from the store and I also had the receipt, most stores would have gladly done something more positive about the situation and would have at least exchanged the item. Deer Park Grainger is "special" I guess. Anyways, the manager's name is Jonathon, and the sales clerk is Jim. What fine examples of customer service at this branch, I'm being sarcastic of course.I had to call corporate and the Customer Service representative by the name of Debbie was very kind and appropriately rectified the situation by simply refunding the total amount.I will continue shopping at Grainger, I'll just have to buy their stuff from another Branch or simply order their stuff online. Its a shame that there are people out there that give such a bad reputation to such a great company as Grainger, I'm talking about Jim, and Jonathon of course. How they were hired is beyond me.Thank You Debbie, for helping me out.

It was so convenient to work with Grainger in older times talking one on one and with your known fav dealer at Graingers. i had a good volume of purchase from Graingers but now, you call them on a common no. and keep waiting for long time. I do not know how many times i dropped the call and bought the things elsewhere. Also, this way i found that graingers is always way costly for the same items compared to when i was forced to look other places. I have wasted a lots of time calling them and no response. Things should be done for betterment but here they did something reverse.

Needed to exchange a DC Fuel Transfer Pump for a VAC pump. Not a problem...extremely friendly Customer Service and the outcome was a far better experience than I've had with the IRS.

You name it, they have it! Industrial suppliers that also cater to private sector. Since Mom n Pop hardware stores have all but been replaced its a good place to find things that Box stores just dont dont carry.

Same as the other Grainger locations: too complicated of a phone in system. Duplicate orders with sneaked in taxes. Typically try to stay away from Grainger if I can but sometimes I have to go there.
