The dollar general that is up the road off 1008 is way better compared to this one. The restock carts are all over thee store. And dont mind the pics in the google search for the clayton street location, LOOKS NOTHING LIKE IT. Staff is sparse, and it takes a while to get checked out. It needs a remodel, additional staff. Will not make this my usual stop for quick items.

Well I am in shock! Never have I ever ....In all the reviews I have done and stores I have been to have seen anything like this in my life! This store was complete disaster. Words will never describe this, you will have to look at the pictures I have posted. This is not what I thought Dollar General would allow to happen to their store. I can honestly say you can NOT tell the last time that floor was swept or mopped. I felt unsafe and scared something would fall on us. Not to mention you could not get to anything! Everything was blocked.This is my official first bad, horrible, and in shock review ever. Dollar General WOW is all I can say. Someone from HQ needs to be on this NOW.

I have been too this particular Dollar General several times a week in the last 3months. Very pleasant staff no matter what day or time of day. The only occasion I have encountered boxes just sitting in the isles, it looks as if they are in the process of unpacking a rather large delivery. As for crowded isles, excuse me but the store is a older store which is smaller than the newer ones. . I don't believe the staff should be criticized for the Corporate Office, not realizing the "Public" holds the staff accountable for trying to make more products fit in a "Old" product store.Good job Dayto workers you are appreciated.

Store employee acknowledgement was by the 3rd or 4th step in the door. Polite and welcoming, immediately! Very patient as I spent all of 60-90 minutes of browsing R&R like, mostly just getting out of the house a bit. Thankfully, he had not labeled me a thief simply because I was looking at everything and taking a while to look. Family Dollar is closer but they employ a man that rudely follows you while insinuating that you are stealing! Mr. Judgement should be retrained by the young man at the DG!!

Most of the time, I find exactly what I’m looking for and meet friendly staff. However, my most recent visit into the store was quite unprofessional. A young lady at the register on the phone with it on speaker, a man’s voice on the other line speaking profanities while there’s customers in the store is certainly not ok. She seemed more interested in the call than interacting with the customers as well.

WORST DOLLAR GENERAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. The Manager of this store wrongly accused me of shopping lifting and had police officers chase me down the road. I was racially discriminated and profiled. Customers beware! They will eye you like a hawk the entire time you are shopping. I have never been so disgusted by an establishment in my entire life.

It’s the messiest store I’ve been to. I went earlier today and there was a total of 7 employees on one shift and all of them were outside except one. He claimed he was a new worker and he said he didn’t know where any of the stuff was located. He needed help and nobody was around to help him. (His customer service was excellent. There’s no complaining over him. It’s the rest of the workers.)There was a line with 6 customers and he was the only one attending us. There is about the different isles around the store with the same stuff on the shelf and there are shelves with nothing on them. This store need help or needs to be shut down.

Nice employees and customers as well! Several people politely asked if I was in line, but I was just checking my list before getting in line. When finally ready to check out, I let someone with 2 things go ahead of me because I was in no hurry and had multiple things. Then next person let the person behind them go in front of them as well! I don't usually shop at this Dollar General, but it was nice to see that Dollar General has great employees & the small town community made it a pleasant visit.

They always have product in the aisle blocking everything. I only go here when everything else is closed since everyone in Dayton closes at 9pm. They never have enough staff and most of the time when I check out the cashier is off doing something else.

Today 5/28/20 I walked into this location and the rotten smell in the store was overwhelming! I got nauseous and walked out as quickly as I could. The whole left side of the store smelled super strong. Whatever it has been there a while. How are they in business?

There are boxes down every isle it is cluttered and messy! They really need to be under a management that isn't lazy! Just saying! Cuz this store was the most filthiest unorganized store I have ever witnessed! Made my OCD kick in quick!

The store always has unpacked boxes in the way, making it hard to shop. The store shelves are empty because the product is still in the boxes.

What to say, what to say..... Hmmmmm.... Nothing. It's the same ol store as it always has been. And they are pretty much all the same no matter where you go. The only thing that ever is different from one store to the next, is the employees. There are some 5hat just don't want to be there and do their jobs and then there are a few that do there job extremely well and those are the ones that rock!

Always cluttered, shelves are empty die to the inventory being on carts still in boxes, hard to maneuver the shopping cart through the clutter.Has super friendly employees and great location.

The sale associate was very rude and disrespectful,poor help and just as if she didn't want to be there. My wife bought a basket full of items and ended up having to go bavk amd exchange the dvd player cause it would not work. I don't believe we'll be returning here again unless it's a last option.

I want to be sure that you are reading about the Dayton store on HWY 90 and HWY 321. This store is not where to go for anythingIt's so full of boxes stacked up in the isles you cannot get through most areas to get what you wantThe store isn't safe to manually navigate throughThe staff is friendly and helpful as you would expect to beI'm really believe that extra stockers would be asset to for the people already in place thereI'm planning on going back, but not anytime soon.

Do not recommend visiting this location. Filthy and disorganized. Blocked isles with stock dollies and leave shelves empty of regularly stocked items. Cannot find simple cleaning supplies.

Place is trashed. Roll carts everywhere, can not get to stuff of shelves. Husband had his phone out and was told by the employees that Dollar General would sue him for taking pictures or videos.
