The owner has a heart the size of Texas. He helped me with a wonderful German Shepard. Unexpectedly as I was leaving my car wouldnt start. He stayed with me and helped even tried jumping the car loaned us tools. He restored my faith in humanity. as we worked on the car till we were back up and running he was there. Wonderful experience and he truly knows his stuff about animals. I will be back (:

Enjoyed my experience here. Been going on and off for years, hadn't been since my Pop passed on. Decided to get a small pet, walked out with two Dwarf hamsters that really enjoy being with me and tamed so easily. I can't thank him enough with helping me and hope to make a visit again soon, maybe buy another pet :)And to the people who are complaining about being let in: Corona virus isn't going anywhere, anytime soon. This place of business isn't a zoo, you can't expect to walk in with a family of 4+ WITHOUT masks! The shop owners, should have concerns for their safety and well being. For your family's sake, follow SIMPLE guidelines and wear a mask, and stay no longer than 15 minutes.

We got great service straight from the owner. He loves all the animals and let us hold several of them. There are a lot of different animals in this small place, pink birds, bearded dragons, talking parrots, bunnies, guinea pigs, fish, lizards and a coi pond with a food dispensing coin machine to feed them. We had a great time. The owner's appearance is a little unkempt, but his service was excellent! I would go again.

This place is an absolute wonderland!! On date night my husband and I swing my here every few months to walk around it a,see all the exotic animals and feed the koi. I hope to buy a Quaker parrot soon and will be doing so here ! :) The owner is always very friendly and he has his dog walking around freely who is also quite the gentleman.

This store might be a bit dirty but I have to say that the pets are always happy, the employees are really nice and actually understand you. I got my turtles here and the guy working there got many turtle out so I can see which ones I wanted. Once I got the ones I wanted, he put the baby turtles back to the tank safely. I recommend this store!

I really am disappointed to hear they may be closing the doors. Very family oriented, stop in at least once before they are gone forever.

Visiting from out of town and this was the closest store. We enjoyed seeing the free roaming parrots and the large bunny and guinea pig set up. There was also a very big koi pond which was cool. All animals there looked well taken care of. The only downside was the store smelled and looked dirty and the employee didn't show any interest in us being there. I don't think he wanted to be there himself. Overall we enjoyed it.

I bought an incredibly healthy tortoise from there. Despite saying I was already a turtle owner they were very thorough in making sure I could take care of him and I highly respect that. They don't sell exotic pets lightly, and that's amazing

Disgusting!!!! This is how you know this place is horrible when they ask and have signs saying "please don't take pictures." The bunnies are in the same cage as guinea pigs. The reptiles have a Disgusting mites in their tanks and they are so skinny. They have cockroaches everywhere and disorganized. The dogs that were in the cages did not look happy at all. They were all laying down and looked too skinny. The hamster, rats, and birds have messy cages. Nothing good about this place. It should be closed down with how horrible the living conditions are. The smell is terrible inside from them not cleaning the cages. The worker was also SMOKING in the shop in front of all these animals. Please do not buy from them ever!

Great friends of ours. They know their stuff on any kind of animal, reptile, or insect. How to feed, how to care for. They are not a replacement for a vet. And can not give rabies shots. They have everything under the sun in there. Don't take my word for it. Go look for yourself! You might spend over 30 minutes just looking at and possibly playing with the kitties 😊.

So I'm personally not a HUGE fan of the puppies in cages. I find that old school and honestly dangerous due to health issues for the animals. With that said I'm giving this place 4 stars for their fish! We are always pleased with the quality we get. The younger guy is very knowledgeable but respected the fact that I said I knew a good amount about our tank and type of fish and didn't try and be pushy or rude. The owner is one cool dude and his German shepherd is the nicest dog ever! I don't support the dog sales but other than I enjoy the store. We make the trip from Richardson and we feel like you really get your money's worth here!

If your looking for a place to add a new member to your growing family this is the place to go. The owner is really great with the animals he takes care of and the worker are more than happy to answer any questions you might have about your new pet. Wether it's a furry or scaly friend you are looking you will find it here. If your not willing to bring a pet home it is still a really cool great place to check out all the animals and you never know you might change your mind.

The family that runs the store are really great and dedicated to the animals. My Savannah Monitor is doing well and this has become one of favorite places to visit just because. Really hoping they take the opportunity to become a popular feeder supplier for locals because it's always hard to find a reliable source.

I went into this store for the first time and I was just disgusted with this pet store. If I could I would rate them a 0. I suggest someone investigating this place cause I feel like they run some kind of mill. Poor dogs were drinking water from a water bottle like hamsters do. Like really no food in their cages. You can hear dogs barking in the back of all the mess they had piled. The man that was there was smoking like nothing and my kid was coughing from the smell of the cigarette. Then he goes to clean the dogs cage and uses a dirty rag that appeared to have pee and didn't care to use it like that. Then he goes to touch everything else without washing his hands. I can keep going and say more things cause those 15 min that I was there I saw alot of things. Very bad place!!!!!!!!

This place has been in business since I was a little boy. As the years have gone by I have purchased many pets from this store. My first pet here was a dog then a fish then a bird followed by a ball python, and a turtle, 2 iguanas a hamster, and a guinea pig. This has been in a span of 20 years. and each pet has lived a long healthy life. This is a family-owned business. The guy that has worked here all these years is really cool laid back and eager to help you find the right pet for you and your family. I highly recommend this place.

One of my favorite place to go buy food for my parrot's the employees there are awesome people. customer service is GREAT the animals seem very happy yes it pretty smelling but come-on who said animals smell like bath and body works perfume. People so get real!

I stepped inside one day with my son (just to look) and the staff is extremely friendly! It's a bit of a mess inside.. but the animals are cared for! Cages kept clean (in fact, they were cleaning cages that day)!I have never conducted business with them, but I would based off my experience walking into the place.Chain franchise pet stores aren't necessarily kept up any better (except for what customers can visually see upon entering..)

I remember going here years ago. about 5 years ago. i don’t know if things changed but when i went, it was absolutely disgusting. they had hamsters that had babies. no bedding in the cage. no food. they kept bunnies and guinea pigs together. it smelt so so so bad. the fish were unhealthy. and from reading some of the reviews now, and seeing the pictures, it looks the same.

Absolute best pet store I've ever been too you can tell that ALL The animals in the store love there owners and are takin care of spectacularly. If you need a pet this is where to go. I'll never go anywhere else and they are moving to a new location but you can bet your last dollar I will be wherever these guys are located!°° thanks so much for the best experience ever!!!!!!!

Very cute pet shop with lots of different types of animals. A real heaven for animal lovers. I do wish the staff would take better care of the reptiles though. Their lamps and soils were wrong and one of the chameleons looked really sick

It is clear that the people working here have good intentions, but the way the execute their intentions are not carried out effectively. There are many animals here that appear to need veterinary care. The way certain animals are handled doesn't sit well with me either.

They have the cutest conures ever!! They were selling a pair of sun birbs for $600, but unfortunately, they don't allow photos, unless you're (((sneaky))).Also, the place smells like animals. What do people expect? It's a pet shop!

Liked the big koi pond they had, lots of sizes to choose from if your in the market for one. But my god does that place stink. Could smell the dog/cat urine as I was reaching for the door to open it. Never will go back. Place was run down and nasty looking.

The smell alone when we walked in said how this place is. I will never be back. My son and I could barely walk through it. We had to go! I didn't want to be rude and hold my nose but that was impossible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know about their sales.. But anyplace that smells like that can't be good.

We went here to buy a bunny for my 4 year old daughter, well I noticed the place was dirty and not taken care of almost like a hoarding place. There was a dog in a cage in the corner laying down not responding to anything it looked like it was days from dying. Well my daughter wanted a bunny so I said ok sure let’s get one out of this dirty place and save it. Well the bunny never gained weight and TODAY! The bunny died we only had the bunny for 3 months. My daughter was so horrified seeing the bunny dead. This place never took care of its animals someone needs to investigate this place and shut it down! Now I have to get my daughter another bunny and I’m going to take it to the vet this time to make sure the bunny is healthy.

Where do I start, it’s nice to see how there are still confused racist people in this world. Every time I go to Wonderland Tropical, the employers are really helpful and friendly. They explain everything very well before taking a pet home, even when purchased from different places, which shows how much care for the animal’s well being. The pet store has their pets well KEPT, healthy, and fed. A person who knows ANYTHING about animals should realize that they don’t all smell the same. Nothing in this world is born smelling like flowers. When you go to a farm it smells like horse sweat and cows, any dog owner’s back yard smells like wet dog and poop, and the zoo which has many animals is a combination of different smells just like the store. Ignorant people don’t realize that it is natural, all animal lovers now that spraying strong smelling products can cause pets allergies. I appreciate the store for not trying to satisfy a customer’s nose over the health of their animals. I recommend this friendly pet store to all pet lovers.

It looks like an animal mill. Dogs and cats are drinking from hanging water bottles like rodents drink from and the many fish and birds appeared to be sick. Mouth rotting ick present. Very sad. Animals that shouldn't be kept together are, and everything acted very hungry. Cages and tanks are waay too small and too overfilled. 4 ball python's in a ten gallon tank, several rats kept in a tiny bird cage, rabbits and Guinea pigs kept together along with rabbits kept in tiny bird cages. 30+ birds kept in medium sized cage meant for two. Just awful, I dont see how they haven't been shut down. I feel for all of these poor animals. No wonder they have signs all over the store saying no pictures allowed. Over priced and the worst quality pet store ever imaginable.

We bought a bird cage, really big and cheap. They where so nice. They have a variety of pets and let you buy them without having to sign anything or asking for all this extra stuff.
