Owners Lauren & Kevin are trained in pet nutrition and are SO knowledgeable about the products they offer and what to feed your animals to keep them healthy and happy. I cannot say enough great things about them; but one thing is abundantly clear - They CARE about providing pet owners and their animals knowledge and products that build a healthy lifestyle. For all things dogs, this place is amazing!! From dog toys, homemade dog treats, leashes, harnesses, grooming, even play dates, self washing and “pawties” this is the cutest place ever! They even have a wall of cold cases for foods and treats. We had a hard time choosing between all of the adorable toys. You’ll have a hard time leaving without an armload of goodies. Lauren and Kevin, the owners, will welcome you in and help you find everything you need. Five stars really isn’t enough to award this precious neighborhood gem. Our Eloise gives it a paws up! 🐶

Really can’t say more good things about that “ all for your best furry tails” store. It has all that you would need for your pet and more like bath services with all organic, non-allergic shampoos, cranberry facial treatments and apple cologne :)))🐶😂🙋‍♀️😘. Happy Pup Happy Mom& Dad!

I went to Uptown Pup to use their self-wash station. The store was spectacularly clean and well-organized, especially considering that it is a pet supplies store. They had a great selection of foods, toys, and collars/harnesses. The self-washing stations were so cute, with multiple options for shampoos and after-bath sprays that were included with the bath. They explained how to use each part of the bath, and gave tips on how to best use the equipment. The water was even nice and warm! Overall, I was very impressed and will be coming here to bath my dog again!

The cutest boutique dog shop in Dallas! I take my dog here frequently to use their self-wash stations. You get your choice of shampoo and conditioner plus an array of products and brushes, all for $14. The owners are so nice and super knowledgeable about their products. They also have a great reward system so I’m constantly getting little discounts and free treats, which I really appreciate. Could not recommend more!

Truly a wonderful experience. Lauren is very knowledgeable and gave me great advice on which treats to choose for my dogs. They loved the dried duck heads.The other owner Kevin has a great giggle-so make sure to tell him your favorite dad joke for him to save up for his son.

This place is a true mom and pop shop. Kevin and Lauren are great people, and they actually show interest and gratitude in you when you come to their store. They are very knowledgeable about their craft, and it shows in the products they choose to offer as well as the advice they give. The store is awesome, it’s in a great location, and it has everything your pet could ever need. I live a few hours away but I’ll always make a stop by when I’m in the area. Great job guys!!

LOVE this cute little dog store right in the heart of State Thomas/Uptown. This is the must stop place for all your dog treats and specialty foods/goods. My favorite tradition is the past 3 years I’ve gone to get my dog’s birthday treats from here (photo’d below). There’s tons of fun birthday and regular treats to choose from and when I’m in the area I try to pop by and get my dog a treat every now and then. They also do a really good job of keeping you informed if their hours are changed for holidays or other reasons. I always like to check their social media (instagram) to make sure they are open before I go! They also offer dog washing stations and a dog yard membership as well which is really cool.Pro tip for parking: The store is right next to White Rhino Coffee and there’s some street parking out front but not a lot so I normally park down the street by Griggs Park and walk the 1 block over (easy in and easy out)

Adorable boutique pet shop. Lauren is a nutritionist and very knowledgeable. She offered helpful unbiased advice on choosing food for my new puppy. There’s so much conflicting info on the web and it was super helpful!! Highly recommend uptown pup!

Uptown Pup is fantastic! We especially enjoy using the outdoor dog park for our private events and dog parties. It’s always clean and the owners are the absolute best! Inside I love the dog wash stations, although we haven’t yet used them, but it’s such a great feature to have for us pet parents. Highly recommend Uptown Pup!

What a delight this shop is ! I arrived from France with my dog recently and I was able to give her a nice bath and hair dry in the shop, they have several shower stations, at the right height for those of us with potential back problems. It’s very clean, and they have a choice of three nice quality hypoallergenic shampoos, included in the price of the shower. Prices are reasonable. I’ll be back for sure.

Even though the owners’ son entered the college football transfer portal and left my favorite university, I can’t help but give Uptown Pup my strongest recommendation. Kevin and Lauren are amazing. They always know just what treats I should buy for my labradoodle, Scruffy, whom I named after the janitor in Futurama.

These guys are the absolute best pet store ever! They have local brands and sell great stuff. My dogs used one of the recommendations and his coat has always looked shiny and healthy. He also doesn’t have a ton of allergies like most pets. Especially during allergy season. They also have a great selection of treats, toys and types of food (frozen, raw, kibble, canned). As for the staff they’re so sweet and truly happy to help every time.

Went in today desperate for a new harness for our sweet pup. After talking about what problems we had with our pup we ultimately left with a new happy pups leash. Everyone in the store was SO helpful and kind! They even demonstrated how to use the leash on their own dog. We already tested the new leash on our pup with great results & tails still wagging. This was our first time in & we will definitely be returning for any pet supplies in the future. Thank y’all so much!!

My dogs (and myself) love stopping by here. The store itself is so nice and clean and is always stocked with great quality products. The owners - Kevin and Lauren, are extremely friendly and are so helpful. I was struggling with finding the right food for my picky eater. I was coming back and forth to this store multiple times a week to test out different foods and started to feel discouraged. Lauren is well versed in dog nutrition and went above and beyond by spending so much time talking me through the different types of dog food (because it can be overwhelming). She helped me figure out what he liked and pointed me to the right direction by educating me on the ingredients. They are a great local small business and I will continue supporting them!

I brought my rescue dog here for her first bath with me. The staff member was kind and understanding when I said I’m not sure how it will go. Quiet environment, warm water (even in winter), and 3 towels. When another dog came in the shop, the staff member blocked off the bath area and let us walk out the back before they came to the baths.Absolutely recommend this for baths, and will be shopping here now. Also great neighborhood for walking around (walked from work).

I love this place so much. I always come to wash the pups here and they always leave smelling amazing. But sometimes I feel like I am inconveniencing them even though I am paying for the self serve/self wash option. I am always aware if there is a wait of walk ins, but most of the time there is no one waiting so I do take my time since my dog is bigger.( could just be me idk) but But overall still a great place. Great supplies and the owner is very knowledgeable.

I got my puppy in May and they have helped me every step of the way. It’s truly a one-stop-shop and My favorite store!! They are very knowledgeable about products and all things dogs. They offer healthier options for my dog without having to second guess the ingredients. As a new dog owner, they have made this process extremely easy, from the advice, to the toys to occupy my puppy, to the array of different treats. I don’t write very many negative reviews and feel the need to remind people that when they see one that it is one person’s opinion.With that said, I moved into the State Thomas neighborhood in June. When we toured a few months prior we decided to check out the local options and were thrilled when we found this place. The self wash was nice and reasonable. Lauren greeted us and was very nice. They seem to be an excellent source of knowledge regarding healthy food and treats and other things for your pet.We moved in and instantly went down to wash one of our dogs. Lauren guided us through how to use the wash, but then we were in a constant state of micromanagement only allowed to use soap sparingly and constant check ins. Didn’t think anything about it. A couple weeks went on and we noticed they are constantly adjusting hours and it was inconvenient a couple of times for us. We kept going periodically and met Kevin who took the micromanagement of the washes to a new level. Constantly checking in and telling me how to wash my dog even though I had multiple times before at similar places. You feel judged and hurried.Several months of random closing and adjusted hours (when they are open minimally in the first place) and I pointed out to others that I do not see them staying in business long, because it can’t be inconvenient for just me.After repeated judging about not buying food from them I was sold on switching my dogs food, despite the price. They closed early one evening on a day I was running late and ran out of food and was shocked to find out that Hollywood feed carried the same bag of food for $15 dollars less and is not much further of a drive. That kind of difference is not enough for me to support the small business.After they had their baby, they had to close, because they didn’t have the help they need to stay open while they were at the hospital and coming home, which is understandable when just the two of them run it. When they did reopen self washes were not available (assuming they cannot trust the staff they did hire to micro manage like them).More adjusted and shortened hours and I didn’t check and walked my dog down for a wash. Walked in 45 minutes before closing and was turned away. They did it. They finally lost me as a customer.I understand their policies are their policies and they can run their business however they want to. However, I do not see them lasting with the high margins they run, their judging mentality, and inconvenient hours. If you have all the money and an extremely flexible schedule it’s a great place, but I don’t have those things and will take my business elsewhere.I also know they like to share their bad reviews as a joke on their IG and funny how they don’t really exist anymore. Anyway, decide for yourself, but food is cheaper at Hollywood feed, they have a better assortment, and they will do free delivery. Also, pet bar is a great place to do a self wash for your dogs.

I read a review here a while ago about them being inconvenient and I brushed it off thinking it was just a one time mistake. When I looked at the photos I fell in love and decided to book this place for my dogs very first birthday party. Just trying to get in contact with someone is a hassle it takes them about two days or more just for one response, I have emails going back and forth, just as they were going to finalize my reservation and I was ready for payment they ghosted me they completely stopped emailing me. Now I have to come up with something else to do for my dogs special day. So unprofessional and inconvenient, if the only way of reserving the yard as stated on the website is through email you'd think they'd check and respond quickly. You constantly post stories and post on your Instagram but can't respond to a single email, if you want to stay in business how about take clients and new customers instead of constantly posting on social media. I should've booked elsewhere when I had the chance, Home Grown Hounds even provided birthday packages.UPDATE: finally got an email response back for the yard rental booking... AT 8:45 PM on Saturday 20th, the booking was supposed to be for the 21st at 1:30 pm. Sorry but do they expect me to rush and get all the supplies I need the morning of the party and send invites too, this is something that's needs to be planned a few days before like any other party. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else but doubt it if a similar situation happened to someone before me.

Incredible service!!! My dog and I came in as walk-ins and requested a self-wash. The bathtub was available immediately, and since it was our first time using this equipment, Kevin was kind enough to walk us through each step. He happily took the time to show me each item for the bath and stayed close nearby in case I needed further assistance. Every couple minutes he checked on us as well. Not only that, but my pup Parker loved the attention, treats, and head scratches! I also had the pleasure of meeting Lauren, his fiancée I believe. She was just as friendly and helpful! I highly recommend Uptown Pup! It's very affordable and has tremendous owners :) Thank you again, Kevin and Lauren!

Lauren and Kevin are both incredibly well informed, and so sweet! Their store is gorgeous, I love their wide selection of toys, treats, dog food, accessories, and more. They have everything well organized, and stock great products from awesome companies. They also have a great size dog park in the back with plenty of things to keep your dog occupied.
