I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I took my four goldfish to their “fish hotel” for a week. They completely neglected them. One of them is upside down with ammonia burns and the fish probably won’t even make it. The others have ich all over them. They are all stressed and dying. How is it that all their fish are well kept except for ours? I’m pretty sure they knew they had ick and ammonia burns but just didn’t give a damn to give us a call like it stated in the sheet we signed if something would’ve happened to our fishes. My fishes were happy and healthy before coming to this place. A refund isn’t enough. Now we have to spend money to medicate them all. Edit: one of them died. I completely regret taking them here. I will definitely let others know not to come to this place. 0/0

I shop here because it is in a convenient location. It stopped being convenient when, over the past year or so, the new employees do not talk to customers or have even basic knowledge of the products and animals they are selling. I would be happy if the products I need were in stock and I could get someone to talk to me and take my money for my purchase. I do hope the owner reads this. I recall loving this place and recommending it all over town. I've been a customer for 5.5 years. I'm sad to not be able to rely on it anymore.

Such a wonderful, beautiful and clean store! The team there is so knowledgeable about all the fishes there! I got an albino Axolotl from there. They sell tanks and everything that you need to care for your aquatic friend. They even offer home service to clean and help care for your fish too!!! All the handsome sweet men there and very kind and will help you with whatever questions you may have. Here is a pic of my happy Axolotl. This is the cleanest aquarium store I’ve ever been to. They take good care of that store 👌🏾

Small, clean store with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Bought some gorgeous cardinal tetras and rummy nose tetras and two beautiful Bosemani rainbows. I don't have a marine tank anymore, but they have a nice selection of marine fish and live corals also.

The Big Little fish store was my go to spot to begin my saltwater journey. Knowledgeable staff guided me through the enjoyable learning process which is the hobby. Just bought a 55 gallon tank and stand from them and love it, they’re super kind and helpful! This is my go to store now. I’m new in the fish game and the manager was so helpful and very knowledgeable looking forward to getting a big saltwater tank from them 🐠🐠🐠

I decided to check this place out on my way home from work. My betta had just died and I wanted to get another. I had heard that some stores keep their bettas in large tanks as they should but I had never seen a store in Dallas do this. When I walked in, I didn't see any bettas. Thinking it was odd that a fish store didn't have bettas, I asked the clerk. He pointed out that they were in the tanks with other fish. I was expecting them to be in small cups like other stores. Major bonus points right there.....All of their bettas were gorgeous and active. No miserable bettas sitting in small, unfiltered plastic cups. I even learned about some new species that could be used as tank mates should my tetras ever kick the bucket (they won't). I came home with a gorgeous koi plakat betta who blended in with his tetra tank mates easily. There was no adjustment period - since he was used to being out and about he didn't hide the first few days and automatically knew when it was mealtime and where to go.

Very helpful staff! Not just small fish, they do have some bigger fish also. Big variety new stock on Thursdays. Great selection of shrimp, multiple colors. Salt and fresh water aquatics. Equipment and plants are available, too.

Every since I found this place, it's now the only place I go to for RO and Salt water. My tank has been happier, better growing, and all-around better parameters. Since then, we have purchased several fish. All so far, I have been healthy and still have today. They also did a 160-gallon saltwater delivery and filled up my new tank. Every time I call or stop in, they always help with questions and / or issues my tank may be having. Would recommend anyone to check it out.

So I always prefer a small family store over a big corporate pet store, and guys like this are the reason why. Knowledge, honesty, and putting building a relationship over making a big sale are what you will receive at this wonderful brick and mortar establishment. The quality of their products, and the health of their fish are obvious as soon as you walk through the door. I'm new to the hobby and have found the only place I need to go for supplies, advice, and a friendly staff. I highly recommend The Big Little Fish Store.

My husband and I have been going here for a year. We started off with zero experience building a salt water aquarium and now we have a beautiful tank all with knowledge learned from them. They are always patient, kind, and helpful! We have purchased a tang, goby, emerald crab, cleaner shrimp, and coral — all healthy with no issues. We tried many other stores in the Dallas area before finding this one and this was by far the best. Highly recommend!

Gary is the best! Stopped by to get some stuff to cycle my aquarium and he had everything we needed plus helpful advice. We got some plants and even aquatic snails for our tank. Could not be happier with our visit thanks to Gary and his friendly personality. Will be making this my go-to.

As am typing this, one of the last group is dying. Yet another diseased fish, making the eighth of 12 fish I’ve purchased from this store in the past few months. Listing all of the standard caveats I know you’ll come with as this community does, the answer is yes, I did that and didn’t do that and no, not everyone has a quarantine tank or hospital tank. My expectations are to buy healthy fish from a dealer who stands behind them. Especially, considering this store’s prices are much higher than my normal haunts but it’s in a much more convenient location.By the reviews, It may just be me but 8 in 3 months is a little more than coincidence. I mentioned it to the salesperson that I lost the last of what I purchased on two separate occasions hoping the person might be curious, ask some questions or maybe look up at me but he acted as though I had not spoken.My current tank is strong and no other losses from my existing stock. We do frequent water changes with a deep cleaning each month. I have no other explanation for the losses other than the stock I purchased was in ill standing prior to purchase. I would recommend isolation of new fish if you have that set up. I am simply an enthusiast and not really interested in setting up my house around the hobby.

If I could give this store more stars I absolutely would. The staff are super nice and knowledgeable, their fish and coral are beautiful and I believe they are the best fish store in all of the DFW area. We needed some fish bags last minute to transport our fish and the staff were more then willing to help us out, they even educated us on the proper way we should relocate our fish and assisted us in finding the right size bags. I can happily say that they survived the trip without a single scratch and they are loving their new location. This store was a life savor and I do not think the fish would have survived without their help. I would recommend this store for everyone's fish goods and services.

The owner is so kind! After a negative experience with a different LFS in Plano I was trying to find a better place to get water and livestock, definitely will be back to Big a little Fish Store now! Saltwater tanks all extremely well kept and I’ve never been to a LFS with such friendly atmosphere.

I walk in after having breakfast at Cindi's in the same strip mall. I was immediately greeted by the store manager, and he was very friendly. I was with two other people and glanced around the shop and had a few questions answered by the manager. He is very informative! I decided to go home and think about what I wanted to purchase. As the day went on, I researched online. There was no better deals, The Big Little Fish Store had the best prices, and might I add, amazing customer service! I drove back up to the store, and was greeted back in by the manager, and the owners were there too. I bought a 40 gallon saltwater tank, and the owner and store staff drove to my apartment to hell setup the tank. I've never experienced such amazing customer service! Whoever reads this, pleaze purchase at this store! They deserve your business! I'll definitely be purchasing my fish from them when my tank is ready for marine life!Thank you, The Big Little Fish Store and staff!

Saw this place was open and popped in and was greeted by the staff, which is nice. I must have been in before a restock because the plants and freshwater fish sections were bare, but everything was very clean and the stock looked healthy. Prices were maybe a little over market but still fair. Frag tanks looked nice but did not have a huge variety of corals. I will come back soon and hopefully see this store fully stocked.

This fish shop is by far the BEST fish shop I’ve been to! They have such a great selection of fish.The fish are VERY healthy and look great! It is a family owned business. The staff and owners are very nice people. I trust them with all of my fish needs. They will answer all of your questions without rushing you and greet you with a very friendly smile when you walk in.I recommend this to shop to anyone that is looking to by new fish for the first time to someone who’s had fish for years and needs a reliable shop they can depend on.Just check them out and see for yourself! 😎

This place is awesome! Very competitive prices of both freshwater and saltwater fish. Corals are also very well priced. Been shopping at several fish stores in DFW and this little boutique seems to be my top choice for saltwater fish and corals. Also, staff is super helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this fish store for those looking for fresh/saltwater fish, corals, aquatic plants and other supplies.

I went to the Big Little Fish Store today and wow! 1: They have a wide selection of fish and even some snails and tiny shrimp! You have a lot to chose from and there is bound to be a fish right for you. 2: All of the employees were so kind and accommodating! They took their time to explain the care of the fish. Canh helped us the whole time and did not disappoint! Overall I was very happy with the Big Little Fish Store and will be back very soon! I definitely recommend the Big Little Fish Store for you!
