I came to this store today a little desperate because our pup has severe IBD and hasn’t eaten in days. I forgot to ask his name but the man working here (maybe the owner?) was so amazingly kind and patient. He took time to listen to what we were experiencing, walk the store and explain every food we could try, and even gave knowledgeable advice on a few extra supplements to help. He asked to keep them updated on our pet. All this while my wild 2 year old was having a moment in the store. Never once was he annoyed or put off but sweet to him instead. Ibd is so tricky with dogs so I’m hoping the suggestions help but even if they dont I would highly recommend and return strictly because of how helpful and nice he was. Customer service is everything. It doesn’t hurt that they also have an incredible selection of healthy foods.

Stumbled into this shop while walking our new pup. With COVID my SO stayed outside with the pup while I ventured in. Our pup is teething and we wanted to get a soft toy (already had a lot of rope, balls, and kongs). Greg was extremely kind and helpful! He even peeked out the window to gush about our new pup!! My first impression was great and I can’t wait to come back with our new pup to pick our more toys and treats to spoil her!! Thank you again, the new toy is a hit!

This has changed our lives - I went from a picky poochon that wouldn’t eat for days at a time with the best food from petsmart etc. - to my dog jumping on me when I prepare her raw food! I’m just happy my pooch is eating twice a day and I can tell she’s totally satisfied! She also lovesssss her new treats! Get what you pay for, totally worth the investment of giving the highest quality food to my princess!!!

I’ve visited Raw by Canine First three times since visiting family in Texas this summer. This pet store contains many of the high quality foods I’ve fed my chihuahua over the years ALL IN ONE PLACE! I’ve always had to order these specialty premium raw and lightly cooked brands so it’s nice to see that in some cities, you can purchase them locally. I went to the store to restock in joint supplements and Steve Real Foods but upon entry, I noticed they also carried a brand that I’ve been itching to try (Bones and Co - which can only be purchased at limited locations) and of course, we purchased a bag!! My chihuahua isn’t a picky eater so I wasn’t surprised by her devouring the new dish; that’s her normal!! I wish Raw by Canine First was available near me in my state of residence but I’m thankful to know that I don’t have to pack a lot of pet food when visiting Dallas. I fancy that they have a productive website so that you can see if they carry your products of choice prior to visiting and I like that all of the food freezers are located in the front of the store where patrons can access them. The only con for me is that it’s located almost 40 minutes from my family’s residence. Great job in your set up!

I love the staff here at RAW! I don't visit too often because it's a bit further from me, but this is my go-to location for all of my big nutrition questions! I was there yesterday trying to find a better kibble (and hopefully a freeze-dried raw) option for my pup, and Alex was so helpful and patient with the millions of questions I ask! My pup loves coming here, and everyone is always so sweet to us!

This is a two sided review - the positive and the negative. I have been coming to this place for years, my sons also used it for their dogs - but all good things have something bad. Last week I bought a toy for my 5 lbs yorkie, $20 toy. Within 20 min the toy fell apart - not because my Yorkie was tearing it apart - but because the toy fell apart on its own. So - I went to the store next day with a hope to exchange it but…I was told that they cannot help me because it was used and once the teeth and claws touch the toy - there is nothing they can do - the manufacturer also does not help… well. There lots of thinks they could have done - one - take an extra step and return the toy and then contact the manufacturer and explain the issue - but no…, they could have offered a refund on the profit part - the same toy cost online $10 average - so that tell me that they could not pay more then $9.00 for it… and they could have just taking it back and offer me a store credit - but things like that always make me think - I know - small business, etc - but when things are not made right - there got to be a way - it is not like I brought a toy after weeks of usage and asked for a refund (i.e. big name pet stores, or home depot etc). I was simply trying to support the local shop and pay a $20 for a $10 toy - so you can see - my intent was to support local - well now - I am NOT going to support them and will find an alternate place to purchase my dogs spiral chew…updated few days later - I emailed the manufacturer and they offer 100% guarantee on their product and they will refund me the money. That is a quality company. This store told me that they get no help from the manufacturer is also a lie. I am very disappointed after years of supporting this business…

It is such a wonderful place. To find high quality dog food really helps keep my mind at ease. I have a very picky pup so trying to find dog food that is high quality that she will eat was a task. When I first went here over a year ago, the idea of raw was new to me. I was provided several sample to try out with my little Grace. We had a one or two that she navigated to and the rest is history. The service and products your facility provide are very much needed.

Love this place. They carry the brand I need (Taste of the Wild) and are always super nice. They always have their fur buddy manning the store with them too (cutest employee ever). They advertise free delivery (which I've never taken advantage of b/c I live a little too far away from them)... and they are never busy when I drop buy. If you're looking for a local/small business alternative to ordering your fur-baby's food/supplies online, this is your place.

I love RAW! Friendliest staff and the canine food is great. I have a shar pei with skin allergies and she has been on a RAW kibble diet for six weeks. Her coat and skin look 10 times better than when she was on another (quite expensive) brand of food. I'm so impressed and I will never go elsewhere for my dogs dietary needs! I highly suggest Raw by Canine to anyone searching for a new brand of dog food.

Love, love, love this place. We stopped in for the first time the other day and received an enthusiastic yet polite greeting from Tess, a beautiful retriever. The person who helped us was very knowledgeable and helpful as well ;). We bought a few treats for our dog which he really enjoyed, among them dried salmon skins which our cat enjoyed as well. Apparently the salmon skins help with the itchy skin dogs get during allergy season. Our pup usually does not like hard chews, but he ate these right up! It feels great to give him treats that are as good for him as they are delicious! We will certainly be back.
