I wanted to provide detail on why I gave this location a 1 star review. I had been coming to this location for 2 years and within that time my dog had two occasions when she came back with cuts. The first time was two large cuts on her chest (which were not addressed and I didn't find until I got home) and the second time was a large cut on one of her back legs.The last time I took my dog in I had to wait for 5 hours to come get her and when I came to pick her up I could hear the groomer throwing her around and saying rude things to her...I should have trusted my gut when she was terrified to go inside.After I left this first one star review a month ago, the owner called me and blamed me for the cuts, saying it was because of extreme matting to her fur and that she had to have been in pain before coming in. Even if there was slight matting, there should not have been as bad of cuts as she had. Not one apology was given for the way my dog was treated, I will not be coming back and you should consider not coming here as well.

I’ve used both the full service and self service options and I loved both! My dog loves going and always smells so good after. They are friendly and very accommodating. My dog can be aggressive toward other dogs and they work with me to assure all of the other animals are safe and separated!

Took my dog in for grooming today and they had no record of my appointment, which was annoying, but forgivable since they did manage to squeeze us in. When I picked my dog up, the groomer showed me where he knicked my dog in 2 spots. Needless to say I was not happy, especially since I had already paid and tipped 20%. I asked him if I still have to pay full price and he basically blamed my dog, who has been getting groomed for almost 13 years, on her “sensitive” skin on her belly and near her private area. He also said she was fidgeting, but again she’s been getting groomed for almost 13 years. I’m very disappointed because the only other time I’ve taken my dog there it was a wonderful experience, and unfortunately the groomer I had the first time left Pet Bar.

Wow! I stumbled across this awesome self Serv pet washing business PET BAR and I have to say that it's top notch!! It was so easy to wash my dogs and they had everything I needed, shampoo, conditioner, even perfume! :)) ANOTHER thing that was amazing was the blow dryer station! Their blow dry system dried my dogs in just minutes! I was able to get rid of the under coat and my dogs were pristine when I left and at a price I really could afford for all of the services provided! The owner was very nice and accommodating!

First time in. Did it myself. Dan was on hand the whole time to help and instruct. The whole staff was lovely! The monthly price to have your dog groomed is so reasonable I will be signing up and getting my dog groomed weekly. Great neighborhood find!!

I took my dog here this past weekend for grooming and teeth cleaning and they did a wonderful job! Was impressed at how well they Really listened to what I wanted and finished within the time window they provided as well. Will bring my dog back here for grooming!

LOVE this place! I have a Labrador Retriever puppy and giving him a bath at home is such a struggle, especially as he grows bigger. I simply drop him off and pick him up squeaky clean with trimmed nails up to 4 times a month for a monthly membership fee.

Great place to really get your dogs washed and dried. You do not have this equipment at home. Bathing stations are elevated and the various soaps/conditioner are mixed into the water sprayer, which is super convenient . Drying stations are a must for long haired dogs, Pet Bars work well, though they could be larger and have no slip surfaces. For our large dogs that would be a big improvement.

I used to take my dog here and they were great! I took her here last week and they cut her nails so short that when we went on a leisurely stroll (4 days after the grooming), all 4 paws started bleeding! She was leaving bloody paw prints everywhere. It was bad enough that when I got her back, her coat was SO uneven and Misty (the groomer) shaved her when I asked for a trim. Why would you shave a long coated dog who has no mats? My dog has never had issues with a trim in her life. She was shaking when I picked her up. I will be finding a new groomer and would never recommend this place.

The groomer we love at ruffit was booked up so we thought we’d try this place and it was 1. Was more expensive than they quoted and 2. One of the worst grooms my dog has ever had. Spent over $100 and my dog still has food around her mouth and mats all over her neck and belly. I will have to get her groomed again next week. A complete rip off and waste of money.

Both times I’ve taken my dog to this place, they have tried to rip me off on the price. I called before coming in and asked for a quote. Once the appointment was over, the final price was $20 more than they quoted me for. The first time I thought it was a genuine accident but the second time I went back they did the exact same thing. Also did not feel like they were very gentle with my dog.

Customer service is awful at this location. The front desk woman (brunette Hispanic) was so rude. We wanted to use the self wash service. If you’ve been, there are multiple washing stations well enough to be 6ft apart for social distancing purposes. She rudely told us that we could not go until they were done. She was very hesitant to assist at all. I will not be returning to this location and I encourage you to chose the location off lovers lane where you will receive great customer service. I hope management deals with her actions and the manner she treats customers appropriately as it will affect their business.

I have been going to The Pet Bar Inc. for at least 5 years. It is one of the best places in town to get your dog groomed. Tina McDonald is my groomer of choice for my dogs Indigo and Empress. They are both show dogs from Russia and require a whole other level of knowledge around hair care and styling, which Tina advises me on when I am creating different looks. Indigo originally came in with hair all the way down to the floor, he is a silky yorkie and I wanted Tina to create an Asian Fusion Style. I didn't realize she had worked with a Japanese grooming company previous to The Pet Bar and as a result could create extraordinary looks. The look I wanted was not an average look that just any groomer knows how to do. Tina made Indigo look like a million bucks! Her work far superseded my expectations. She took my idea and took them to the next level. Finding her with the expertise she has is like finding a needle in a haystack. She is amazing and most importantly I could tell that my dog felt comfortable around her! That is so important. Because of our first experience, we brought our new Maltese and her hair did not have a distinct style. Tina was able to create a look that transformed how she looked and now she is photo ready. I highly recommend Tina if you have a specific look you want especially if you want a look you have only seen on tv or in dog shows. She is also a master creative groomer which means she can dye dogs hair that looks super cool and is knowledgeable about other trendy adornments. For us, our pets are not only family but they also dog models, so having a top notch groomer is key to our success and for anyone else who wants unique styles and a great quality service.

Too bad pet bar has gone down hill. I used them when they first opened and they could actually get my dog to me in a reasonable amount of time, because having an appointment meant you had an appointment. Now they routinely overbook, giving several people the same "appointment" -- that's not an appointment, that's just a glorified time slot that can mean waiting for hours and hours to pick up your pet. It makes them seem not to respect your time. I'm not going back.

This is a great little place tucked off of Hillcrest near SMU. Took my labrador in a couple of weeks ago and owner was very helpful and friendly. Price for wash is by weight. Washing bays are separate from dryers, which helps clients move through more efficiently. Monthly membership concept is new to this category, but cool I think. Will be back for sure!

OMG. They butcherd my poor dog. I have the cutest dog. And someone with no grooming skills just sheered him all over. His tail looks like a rat's tail now. And the tracks from the shaver are left all over his body. And by the way. It was the most I ever paid for a grooming.Stay away from per bar for anything more than a simple bath for your dog.
