Pep Boys on Buckner did an outstanding job! Customer service was great and they identified the problem with precision. Timely service and communication throughout the process was elite in comparison to other shops I’ve encountered. Randolph’s professionalism and expertise was on full display during my visit and should be commended. Highly recommend the Buckner location!

Gilbert was very helpful with finding the right tire sizes for my truck. He was also extremely patient with my aunt and me on deciding what tires to buy. It took awhile to make a final decision :). With his expertise we bought the most sturdy and efficient tires they offer. I really appreciate his help and the other mechanic that previously assisted with questions and concerns. Would definitely recommend to people I know to come here for new tires. 15/10 service ;-)!!!

These guys saved me from purchasing a used car from a dealership down the road that claimed it was “certified pre owned” and the Autocheck report came back clear with no reports of accidents or damage to the vehicle. The odometer reading on the website was 29,709. Prior to visiting the dealership they provided me with their certified pre owned 116 point inspection report. This report was signed off by their mechanic stating everything passed inspection.When I got to the dealership, the odometer read 30,559 which is an 850 mile difference from the listing.I scheduled an appointment for a pre-purchase inspection which I highly recommend everyone doing when purchasing a “used car” or a “certified pre owned car.” The dealership claims a “certified pre owned” means it passed a “116 point inspection.”These guys lifted the vehicle in front of my dad and I and showed us that the skid plate and splash card were torn up, exposing the undercarriage. They also showed me a large dent in the fuel tank. They let me take photos of everything to show the dealership. They also found that the jack and kit for the lug nuts were missing as well.We brought the report back to the dealership and showed them everything.Their response “our manager spoke to the Manager for our techs, he advised that the dent in the fuel tank was noted during the inspection and that since there is no leak or no crease it is safe to pass and still drive.The splash guard for the under carriage did come to us from Rental per there inspection pictures although it is not required to have on the vehicle he did say it does help keep water and mud off the engine, sometimes gives a few low-mounted components some protection, and reduces road noise and drag a bit.”As anyone would know, having a dent in a fuel tank is already putting you at risk for a leak. In addition, the whole undercarriage being exposed is not save for the inside of the car. It was very disappointing since the car was listed as a “2022 certified pre owned vehicle with a “116 point inspection.”The dealer also refused to offer to fix the issues, or give money off of the vehicle to get it repaired somewhere else.All in all these guys saved me from a $35k+ purchase for only $75 pre-purchase inspection that is 1.5 hours! Please save yourself the hassle and get the PPI before buying any used car, even if it claims it is certified pre-owned!Gilbert the Assistant Manager was great and so was my technician Erick L! I appreciate their transparency and thoroughness.

Place is horrible set a appt time and still didn’t get taking care of they don’t work to get you out they keep you here for hours very unprofessional! If you want to wait hours then by all means go to them! Horrible service didn’t have any refreshments don’t check on there guest! I want to leave negative stars

All in all, Pep Boys has done an outstanding job on all my vehicle's. The customer service is outstanding. I just wish I knew Pep Boys was an all service repairs center and not just for tires and oil changes sooner.

Big big shoutout to Randolph for his help with my process of buying new tires as well as getting alignment and warranty. He was extremely helpful, super patient and made sure I got all the information I needed as well as the best price in the area. He definitely surpassed customer service expectations. So i took my car to pep boys right after the accident .No one got to it until 4 weeks later. When my care arrived it was nice and clean inside. Looked in it today there is rice al over the place . My tire is missing, my rim is missing , my book bag with my fishing equipment is missing. Im calling the police to file a police report to get the footage of who could of took my belongings. Dont go here .

Made an appointment online for an oil change and my car was taken back one hour later. (Whats the point of an appointment) I paid for an oil change that came with tire rotation and it was not done. I trusted it was and did not check it but later realized it wasn't. I have an ugly dent in my front rim and noticed it was still in the front, meaning they were not rotated. Trust and time is important and it has been lost now.

Dropped my truck off for an oil leak check. Randolph at the front desk did an excellent job getting me taken care of. Called me throughout the day to explain what was going on. They never found an oil leak and he waived the leak diagnostic fee. I went ahead and had my truck serviced since it was there. Randolph does an excellent job and is very customer service oriented. My first appointment was made over the phone and it was never recorded in the computer which resulted in me making a second appointment in person and having to make two trips wasting time and gas. When I arrive for my second appointment was not recorded in the computer after standing there with an advisor providing him my information to make an appointment. The advisor made a joke about it and claim I had to make another appointment until I threatened to contact corporate and like magic I had an appointment. Pep Boys has lost a loyal customer!

Excellent service, good explanation of the problem and although they had to fit me on it was worth my time. My brakes don't make strange noises off and on. And the pedal doesn't thump the bottom of my foot. Very happy

This place does not deserve any stars… and this is coming from a customer of TEN YEARS!!! DO NOT bring your vehicle to this location…or the one on north west freeway and 635… YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! Unfortunately management here has gone down the WORST road i have EVER seen! When we lost Ramiro and David… thats when this location WAS OVER!!! It breaks my soul to the VERY core to post this review but this location needs to be shut DOWWNNNNA… like YESTERDAY!!! Along with the location at nothwest highway and 635. A clown by the name of Ethan runs it… and he is an ABSOLUTE Joke… along with area manager Luis!!! If Pep Boys had any TRUE concerns for customers and the company they would remove these 2 along with Jay / Ray whatever that clowns name is! who now runs the Buckner location!On 8-15-2023 I brought my car in for shaking/ vibrating at 55-65 miles an hourPep boys did a complete diagnostic and said my tires were not balanced! So they balanced them!Drove off and NO DIFFERENCE…took it back… now i was told i had 2 bad rims!!! Bought 2 new rims and 2 new tires!!!Drove off and NO DIFFERENCE… luis sends me to Ethan on Northwest Highway and 635…Ethan drives it and says ohhh i got it up to 80 and nothing is wrong! I think you just could be holding the wheel too tight🤣🤣🤣🙄 what a COMPLETE joke!Took it to another place and guess what!!!Everything done on my car from both locations was done WRONG!Whats sad is that the Buckner location used to be ON POINT WITH EVERYTHING!!! It was the best place to have car repair professionally…Now…thats NO LONGER the case!Please IM BEGGING YOU save yourself the time!!! Headache and ESPECIALLY the money!!! Research better places and RUNNNN FROM THIS LOCATION!I do have the paperwork from this location and the place who finally fixed my car correctly trying to post them now but for some reason its not giving me an option🙄If anyone wants to see the paperwork i can text it too themPlease take care of you and your car please be aware of these people and these locations!!!

Amazing! A relative went there with a serious disability and had some special requests. This guy went WAY above and beyond what 99% of people would have done to make sure that relative was wholly taken care of. There’s no way my relative would have gotten this kind of service in any other shop! This whole staff is world class!

Honestly would give 0 stars if possible, these guys are not in the business of truthful mechanic practices. They quoted me almost double the actual cost to repair a thermostat and radiator hose. 1,285$ to repair a radiator yeah right. If you want an honest mechanic Auto Sense in mesquite off gross rd is the way to go he charged me 500$ and had me back on the road in a day.

On June 4, 2023 at about 1130am I came to get my brakes bled due to air in them from riding on the brakes for so long. After about 2 hrs my vehicle was said to be ready. Upon getting my vehicle the brakes still did not stop. I called to question about the service since my vehicle was still doing what it was doing before I brought it in for service. Technician said the machine said all air was out out vehicle. Went for a second opinion and everyone says there is still air in the brakes and they need to fix what I paid for almost 2 week ago this is a safety hazard. After the 2nd call I got put in for a appointment on friday june 16 at 9am. Why do I have to miss money when this couldve been addressed on the 4th and not when I almost cause harm to self or others for negligence

Ashton is great, friendly and was much help. They are pretty expensive though. I guess it depends on what kind of work you need done to your car when it comes to my recommendation. However, they were able to tell my sister what she needed for her car for $40 which wasn’t close to what she thought the problem was so thank you for that!

Terrible customer service. They do things you don’t ask for and what you came for they can’t actually do. Say it’s wear n tear on my oil cap/filter they couldn’t remove because is broken….well I’d they the only ones that change my oil then it means they broke it it can’t possibly be wear and tear when you only get an oil change once every 3 or 4 months. No one asked you about it my tires all I wanted was an oil change and they took over an hour and a half to tell me they couldn’t do it. Ridiculous.

Ashton was awesome and all though I wasn’t able to get my car serviced due to it being a error message for my rental. I really enjoyed his professionalism and help trying to solve the issue. He was amazing and I hope that he is given a raise.

Went here yesterday for oil change,state inspection&get turn signal bulb replaced. Ended up having to get new tires for car to pass..even with all of that, phones ringing, other customers walking in and one person working the front desk..I was/am pleased with the service. Everything was clearly explained before any work was done which I appreciate. Love the building makeover. Will be back!
