I want to give a huge shoutout to chris and Zake (I hope I got his name spelling right) for helping me out today. I was on my way back to Austin from visiting Dallas and my splash guard underneath my car was dragging. I stopped by the nearest place I could find and it so happened to be this pep boys. I told them my situation and how I just didn’t have the tools to jack up the car and push it/}]’ofe it myself. They took it in really quick since it was an easy “fix” and got me in and out in 10 mins. The service they provided was exceptional and I’ll recommend that to anyone any day. GM of this location should be ecstatic to have a team like this on his resume. 🤩

i thought i needed new tires but it turned out i just had a nail in my tire! didn’t try to sell me anything i didn’t need and fixed my tire in like 20 min and was on my way! will definitely be going back when i actually do need new tires. very thankful for their honesty and efficiency

I went here for a tire puncture repair. They were able to repair it very fast. I noticed afterwards that my car was shaking on the highway. I called to ask them if they balanced the tires after fixing the puncture, and they said yes. I took the car to a reputable dealership and they found an excessive amount of counterweights on the tire, almost all the way around. The tire needed .25lb of counter, and it had close to 1lb. 4 counterweights were removed. I am not one to write negative reviews, but I would not recommend this place.

I had a flat tire after a routine maintenance appointment. Andre, Jeremy, and Peyton were happy to help replace my tire valve and put my tire back on and aired it up. Those 3 made the process smooth and gave me faith back in my vehicle. They were great.

Replaced my battery with a walk in appointment in less than 20 minutes or so with no hassle and with reasonable rates.I was driving around town after my battery died earlier in the day, hoping for a replacement before I had to beg for a jump to go to work tomorrow, and I was panicking because two other auto shops had closed earlier than their published opening hours (closing at 5pm!), but Pep Boys had stayed open. Good experience. 👍

I decided to save some money by going to Pep Boys instead of the Honda dealership. Best choice I could’ve made. Service was quick and the employees were so nice. Jose replaced my brakes and did a wonderful job. I’ll be back! I save about 40% by coming here instead of Honda. You should do the same.

Booked an appointment for 11:30 am for an oil change, tire rotation, and balance. Showed up around 11:25 and was informed nobody had picked up their old oil so they were unable to complete an oil change but they do perform tire rotation and balances for free so I decided to go with that either way since it was a free service. I gave them my key and waited patiently. 45 minutes goes by and not a single person was working on any vehicles in their bay. Then around 12:15 a representative came in and said “sorry for the wait we are trying to free up a bay for you right now” I shrugged it off and decided I’m here what could waiting a little longer hurt. Then all employees seem to disappear. 2 customers walked in attempting to get service and nobody was to be found. They tried calling but it was a ghost town. Finally by 1:00 pm with my vehicle still in the parking lot and my key still sitting on the counter I decided to say screw it and grabbed my key off the desk and left. I’m not sure if they just decided to go to lunch and ignore all customers or what but I went down the street to take 5 to get my oil changed and decided to rotate my tires myself. Be advised if you decide to go here make sure you have 3-5 hours to kill for the simplest maintenance on your vehicle

My car overheated on the side of the highway of a few minutes from Pep boys in Dallas. When I found my way to Pep Boys, I was greeted by Randolph Moore. He showed me kindness and pure concern for my own safety first in the situation. The car was examined overnight. The team could not find anything wrong so decided not to charge me the $100 for the computer exam. I was so touched by this and have so much gratitude for the kindness of Randolph and the team.

Courteous staff, but their courtesy vehicle inspection left off so many issues that I am already aware of with my vehicle. I take it that it was never conducted or otherwise overlooked. Because why conduct one and leave off that my check engine light was on at time of service, my left indicator light is out, & my wiper fluid was out. They marked these as (na). Luckily, I already received documentation for a recommendation of service a week prior from another shop and went back to them for service.

I have gone other places to have tires put on and always dread it. I have been lied to by a big chain saying I needed four new tires after I had just bought four new tires with them 6 months before. I was treated fairly by Pep Boys and the cost was very reasonable. The staff was not pushy. I will defently use them from now on.

Rude!! Not helpful... and basically blew me off. Way to busy! What I needed done was a service offered on the website.... Well... maybe a snotty answer 🤔 to my questions about mufflers and HANGING UP ON ME!!! is a start. GOGGLE mufflers and you are listed. So sad this is what "customer service 😢 " has come to. Shame

Previously I rated this location a 1 ⭐️ due to negligence in handling a simple tire swap- vehicle returned with deep gashes on the surface of my rim. Situation was handled properly by previous Manager Danielle who completely repaired the entire rim through Wheel Technologies- so now my rating has been elevated based on great customer service in handling the occurrence.

Okay, so my experience with this place was fantastic. Yesterday, I had to replace my car battery (a pricey little purchase when one is on a tight budget) and learned that there was a PEP BOYS on Lemmon Ave. (What???) It's the old Just Brakes next to Taco Bell.Anyway, because I'd found a good price for a battery, I went in pretty skeptical, thinking that I'd be upcharged out the whazoo in hidden service fees. NOPE. I was literally in and out within 30 minutes (more like 25), and still walked out the door under $180. (Note: Ladies, they WILL NOT try to sell you headlight cleaner or other made up stuff.)I'm really impressed, and will definitely be back for the basics - oil changes, brakes, tune up, etc. Staff is honest, which is saying a lot - plus, they offer a military discount, so YAY. I think they're a franchisee, which is cool, and I will definitely be sad if I return with different mechanics there.This is a rare 5 star review... they earned it.

Shona is amazing! She's very helpful and all the staff there.I didn't get the chance to get the name of the other guy by the computer and the guy who fixed my car. In addition to that this place are very accommodating and offer a free air for tires. Highly recommended!

Worst service I've ever received anywhere. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The assistant manager, Jeremy, was extremely unprofessional, condescending and had no concern for the inconvenience and complete lack of service they provided. The service was so bad I did something I normally do not do and contacted their corporate office just to let them know. However, even though they claimed that the manager of the location would contact me I never received any calls or follow up. It just further verified for me that this company is run in such a poor fashion I will never do business with any of their locations again.

Terrible experience. I made a 9am appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I showed up at 9 and waited until 10 before I decided to leave without the service. When I asked why They had taken two customers, neither of whom had appointments, ahead of me they just said that they were short staffed. If you have half a day to wait on an oil change and tire rotation, feel free to make an appointment. If you just show up, however, maybe you'd get faster service.Lemmon has a zillion car maintenance places. It's a wonder how this place stays open!

Best experience I have had at a car shop! MyTire pressure was low (always the worst thing to see your check tire light go off while on a Roadtrip). I called them and they said to come on in to take a look. Chris greeted me and immediately Checked my tires right then and there. When he noticed one extra low, he raised my car up to look deeper and found a tiny nail. He said he would be able to patch it for me and went right to work on it. On the spot!! Danielle, the manager, was so funny and on top of things. Shawna, who is a new addition to the team, was extremely friendly as well. I ended up staying and chatting with them until my tire was ready. Which, by the way, was done very quickly. Their customer service is TOP NOTCH and I will be going to them for any and all car service needs from now on. It is hard to find a good car service especially as a woman. Fair, honest, friendly, and quick. They are the best Dallas! Get over there for your car needs!!

Mr. Randolph Moore at Pep Boys on Lemon Avenue (Dallas) restored my faith in mechanics. He was helpful, kind, and educated me without “talking down” - he was very patient and engaging. Best of all, I never felt like Mr. Randolph was upselling or pushing me to get something my car didn’t need. The store was also extremely professional. I was given an estimated time of completion, 3.5 hours, and the car was ready as promised. This Pep Boys location has amazing humans and top notch service making my car drive great again; they are my new go-to and I will be back. Highly Recommended!

Highly disappointed and beyond frustrated with entire service experience. What was supposed to be a routine service turned into 2 weeks without my car. It was not only terribly inconvenient, but interactions were also handled with a lack of professionalism, urgency, poor communication etc. My car was also returned to me excessively dirty inside and out.

I have not had service done because of the terrible customer service from the old lady at the front desk. I called into inquire about tires and she abruptly put me on hold for 10+ minutes just to hang up on me. I called back several times to get no answer. She finally answered and hung up immediately again. If you cannot multitask and work respectfully with in person customers and over the phone customers then she should not be the person at the front. This is completely unacceptable. She has probably turned away a lot of potential customers because of this. Hire better people. PepBoys needs to address this internally. This job requires nothing, and there’s probably someone out there willing to do a much better job. I will be shopping elsewhere.

Two thumbs up! Had to leave a review of the quick and friendly service from Danielle and her staff. Came in to get my tire repaired (We all know how frustrating a last minute tire repair is) and was instantly greeted with a smile. Within 10 minutes I was all ready to go with my tire like new. I was able to make my daughter's practice on time.

Dom & Shawna were great, the took care of my car and told me the truth about what I needed and what to expect. I also appreciated that they fixed a problem another shop caused. It's rare to find honest people especially in the automotive industry. I definitely will be back for what I need and share with people to come to the Lemmon location.

My AC stopped working this week and I needed it fixed fast. I made the choice to stop at this Pep Boys near my house, even though I had never been. Danielle and Shawna were both kind, courteous and got me taken care of so quickly. Within an hour a tech had diagnosed the problem and by the end of the day it was fixed. It's never fun to spend money on auto repairs, but when the team quickly and confidently addresses the issue, it sure feels much better. Kudos to Danielle, Shawna and team! (I love seeing women at the shop, especially when they are as competent as these two!)

From my initial phone call and throughout the entire process, I had a 5 star customer service experience with Shannon. I had a flat tire on a Sunday afternoon. Shannon was extremely helpful to explain details on tires and timeline. My tires were ordered and my car was ready in less than 24 hours. Great experience, highly recommend!

Great service, friendly staff and quick with price transparency. I’ve gotten new tires here and brakes/rotors replaced and was really happy with both services. I never feel like I’m being sold unnecessary repairs or services or anything like that. I also really appreciate the complimentary Lyft home too for those living within a certain radius (one less ride to figure out if you don’t want to wait there). Will continue to come here for anything my car needs. Highly recommend!

First of all, horrible customer service. If you try to call you won't get a voicemail and it'll ring for what feels like forever until someone HOPEFULLY answers. Even when they did answer I was immediately put on hold or hung up on.I got four new tires a week ago and when I picked up my car I watched them back it out of the garage and ding my car on multiple things. The literal next day my tire light turned on. When I went to check the pressure they were WAY over inflated, but the light continued to stay on. I then noticed that when I go over 60mph my entire car shakes. I tried to take my car back 7 days later for the shaking and the light staying on. I dropped it off at 12pm. I called at 4pm to check on my car and was then told that the balancing machine was broken so I could either wait for it to get fixed or they could drive it to another pep boys location themselves. Keep in mind, my car sat, untouched for 4 HOURS before I got this information and I had to call them MYSELF for it. There is ZERO communication.Their balancing machine was broken and I wouldn't be shocked if it was broken when they put my tires on a week ago considering the balance is still off.I got my car back with nothing fixed and four hours of my life wasted.EDIT: after taking my car to a new tire shop, not only did they screw up the balancing of my tires but they also broke the sensors. Time wasted and an extra $200 down the drain. Do NOT waste your money here.
