This is an excellent place to purchase a kayak. They took the time to help me pick out a kayak that fit me and my needs perfectly. I got an amazing deal on a Hobie! They answered each of my 1000 questions with a smile and gave excellent feedback. They helped me pick out all the accessories I needed and installed them as well. They showed me how to use all the features on my Hobie.I went in just planning to look at an inexpensive sit inside kayak. I walked out with a pedal drive Hobie after seeing how much it would help with all my fishing. I'm incredibly happy with my purchase and I'm truly happy they helped guide me to a better choice for my needs than what I initially thought. I highly recommend stopping by if you are interested in a quality kayak. I have dealt with the principals of Mariner sales for almost 50 years, absolutely true gentleman. They have seen the change and evolution in the recreational Maritime market over the years. Through research they have always tried to stay ahead, yet always been able to support older products such as Hobie Cats 14, 16 and 18. They are very knowledgeable always have things in stock and willing to order what they don't have. If you're going to spend your recreational dollars, spend it locally, Amazon will be just fine without your patronage. This store is steeped in the history of sailing in Dallas, sail making in Dallas, water sports in Dallas in the area good place to do business, I recently bought a kayak from them I live in Florida but I would much rather buy for my friends, I've been very happy with it they gave me good recommendations on what you get and how to install it and I would never look back with any doubt for any of the information they've given me. I just want to express my deepest thanks and appreciation to Aris Tsami and Duc Tran for replacing my Hobie PA14 360 purchased in Illinois that was under warranty. Mariner Sails is a true dealership that one doesn't find much anymore. Never graced their doors before, but they bent over backwards to contact Hobie, authorize a replacement, convince Hobie to allow Mariner Sails to give me one of their new ones in inventory instead of making me wait for Hobie to ship out a new one, and got me back on the road to South Padre Island in less than 24 hours. And even better, Aris had a Torqeedo Ultralight 1103 AC in stock just sitting there on the floor that I had to have. Thanks again guys!

This place is awesome. The staff is very friendly and ready to help out. I called before my purchase and they were able to guide me to the correct rack to purchase. My order was ready for pickup the same day and they even called me letting me know.Chandler was great he helped me mount my rack, I had never done this before, and tie down the kayak. This was super helpful and made me comfortable using the new rack.I purchased a Liquidlogic remix kayak and Malone rack and both have been great.

I've bought various knick knacks and battery-related items from Mariner Sails and I always receive the item quickly! I recently bought an FPV-Power 12v 7ah Li-ion that failed after only a few weeks and asked to start a warranty claim... I get a call back from a very nice gentleman saying he is going to ship me a new battery and a return order to send the old one back so I can get back on the water more quickly (I didn't even ask for any expedited service... this was just offered to me) while they deal with the warranty.I'll be buying any parts I need for my Hobie Pro Angler 14 360 fishing setup when I can from this shop!

First visited Mariner Sails 10 years ago for their Hobie learn to sail class. Since then I have purchased a sport and revolution Kayak, a Getaway and Tandem Island, and most recently the newly designed Hobie inflatable. Great service and support and always friendly. Not the least expensive options, but you can't go wrong with quality!

Wish they had a zero star rating. Hobie Outback Kayak has a serious design flaw that causes a leak at the front drive mount. If it's out of their short warranty time, you are out of luck. They can't fix it either. Just buy a new one at list price. Never again!

Great experience. Not only were they the only place in town with the boat in stock, but they had all the accessories and the best price (including online) as well. They physically put their hands on everything before I arrived so there were no surprises. They also walked me through the install of my rack so I could car-top my new boat home, and stayed a few minutes late to insure I'd be ready to drive home. Couldn't ask for more!
