This place is honestly one of my favorite book stores I have ever been in. At first glance, the store appears small, but then it just keeps going and surprises you with even more rooms. They have a wide array of genres and most of the sections have a lot to pick from. They also have records and a few random curiosities, old news papers, posters, and other things like that. They even have chairs throughout the store so you can sit for a little while in a quiet corner surrounded by book shelves. My friend and I stopped by just to check it out and ended up spending hours there. I will definitely be coming back.

Used bookstore that's bigger on the inside. I could get lost for hours looking for the perfect book amongst the labyrinthine shelves.

Absolutely amazing book shop! The size of the shop will surprise you if you based your opinion on the store front. What seemed to be a tiny bookshop is actually a massive collection of books, magazines and other tangible media. Only on my third visit here did I find the world behind the fist two rooms. It goes of for what feels like forever into shelves and shelves of stories! With a huge selection you will definitely find something that interests you here. The children's section is amazing and even the pre-owned books are in great condition. Prices are fair and the staff are really nice. Helpful but not bothersome, and even would offer you a free mask if you needed one. 5 star shop that will surprise you after you just look inside!

What a lovely book store! All sorts of finds here! If I was a local, I could definitely see spending hours here just looking through it all!Definitely way bigger than what you think it would be. It just keeps going and going! They had so many categories of types of books and section after section. It’s quite amazing how much is packed into this store.I found several interesting books for my collection, and definitely will return when I’m back in the area.

When we moved from out of state one of the hardest things to leave was our local mom and pop secondhand book store. We asked neighbors and local friends where to go for second hand books and they suggested half price books. However our own experience there was pretty unpleasant and rather corporate. We saw lucky dog books listed and although it was a bit of a drive, we decided to check it out one day after visiting the Dallas arboretum. I am SO glad we did. This is a very mom and pop style bookshop. It is the place you go to browse, rather than looking for something very specific. There are many, many hidden treasures in this book store. I was pleasantly surprised to see many book sets I own and recognized which I didn't expect to see carried in a second hand store. There are many quality leather bound volumes in the front room, great books sets, Junior classics and other vintage books, and some historical book series that are very high quality. There is a great children's selection, many many separate rooms with varying genres, vinyl, back issues of many magazines, CDs, VHS, 8-tracks, DVDs, Blu-Ray's, and probably more that I didn't see my first time in. I was pleasantly surprised by the literature selection as I'm constantly looking for unabridged classics for my kids schooling and my own engagement. I enjoy historical fiction, which is a notoriously small section in many used book shops but here it covered the length of an entire hallway.I cannot stress the size of this bookshop. It is truly like walking into the doctor's tardis: it's bigger on the inside. The store is huge. It's full of windy hallways and smaller rooms, then suddenly you're in a back warehouse space with even more! If it's your first trip allow yourself an hour minimum to browse. My family has brought four large boxes of books to be sold to the store for in-store credit. The buy back process does take quite some time and you can tell looking at the many boxes that have been left for sale to the store that it will take time. If you only have a few items to sell and want to sell same day, I'd suggest calling ahead to see if that's feasible. I knew we would have a large volume being sold, so planned to drop off. The buy back offer was higher than I expected. The credit is applied to half the price of your purchase, which some may not like, but we are a high cycle books family so I'm sure spending that credit will be no issue. The staff were friendly and kind. They didn't react negatively to my bringing in a large family with small children, and they were very helpful.I'd highly recommend this bookshop to anyone who is in search of a used bookstore. It is charming, friendly, and HUGE.

Great place to go and get lost. I went for music. Small selection but found some interesting stuff. Selection is better for books since that's their thing. Nice staff.

This place is a hidden gem. Beats all other bookstores in Dallas. Has the feel of an old library and even smells like one. I could spend an entire day here and not get bored. Ample seating for a quiet sojourn into the world of imagination.

GO! CHEAP BOOKS! NOSTALGIC! There used to be a time when books (actual paper) were the sole source of information! This place brings me back to my childhood - a time when the public library was my second friend, and the joy of spending the day searching through books, and finding new interests in works by authors. The experience is similar to engaging in a treasure hunt. You'll find several books that pique causal interests, and then you'll stumble upon that rare gem that leads you to hours, days, and weeks of quality entertainment. This place is awesome, with the treat being that the books are super cheap, well stocked, and it brings a simpler time. I especially encourage you if you have kids to bring them here. Summer Reading programs only bring special prizes and more important, great literacy for kids! 😉

Love the new location! The store is very open and easy to get around in now, and it seems much more busy the past few times I've been in.They have an extremely reasonable trade-in policy, which has made sure they're the only people I trade in my media to anymore (and make me regret every giving anything to Half Price Books!). While I might not go in and find any exact book off my wishlists, I can always find plenty of interesting books to pick up! And with trade-in credit, they end up so cheap that I can come out with an armful for the same price I might pay for one new book.

I didn't even know these guys existed. We parked in front of the shop while visiting another store and noticed the boxes of books on the sidewalk. Once you walk in, there are paths all throughout the building and books stacked everywhere! It's like your own hidden maze of adventure. I felt like a kid again exploring this shop.

Good selection. Items priced a little on the high side. Owner not super friendly. Worth an occasional look-around. But not my go-to used book store.

This is the best independent used book store in the area. We love going here. There are rooms upon rooms filled with books. It's a true treasure trove!

We walked in and it seemed like a cute lil book store! But you walk through one hallway and another and leads to a little room, its was just such a neat set up i love this place! They have an awesome kids section with a little table and bears for the kids to read to them! Also had no idea james patterson wrote kids books! They werent very…welcoming but maybe they were busy. When we were walking around to check out the rest of the bookstore after we had been in there for 20 min the owner im assuming walked up asking if we had masks and i said no but he said he had some up at the front…..This is why im giving it 4 stars. If i dont have to wear a mask then im not going to.Him asking us to put one on we just got the one book and decided to leave.Wish we couldve stayed longer! The pricing for the hook we got was great! It was 2.99 compared to amazon being 7.99!? I was so happy to stop by and finally check this place out.

Just discovered this bookstore and am glad I made the decision to walk into it. From the outside it looks just like any ordinary store. Once you enter, you enter a whole other world filled with tranquility and knowledge. There's also a coffee and snacks area to unwind with a good book.

This is a book lovers dream. It may not look organized from photos but it is by genre. I did ask how prices were determined. They also buy books and this may be my new place to sell my used books.

This is a hidden gem. The shop is unassuming from the outside but is a book worms labyrinth paradise once you step in. Each turn and twist offers shelves upon shelves of books from fiction to non fiction. I definitely recommend stopping by and supporting them. Buy a book, take a seat and delve into pages full of adventures

I have loved this store and location since it opened! I no longer live in the neighborhood but make the long drive to see the enjoyment my grandchildren gave when we go. The staff is so personable, courteous and friendly and truly enjoy their work. I also enjoy the satisfaction of giving back by donating all types of media for others to enjoy!

This bookstore is definitely a hidden gem. As other reviewers have stated, despite the modest storefront it’s surprisingly large— once you walk in the books just never seem to end. It’s well organized and just really impressive. Also, they offer much better deals for trade ins than does HPB, especially if you opt for store credit. Check the hours online before you go.

They have a variety of books organized very nicely. In addition, the front desk workers are really polite and always ready to help. They allow you to pay with store credit, this means you can bring in books or DVDs and they'll take that as a form of payment. Not only this but they have records, video game disks and DVDs. There is coffee, cookies and chairs for one to sit comfortably and a chess game for anyone who wants to play chess while they wait. This is one of the nicest and cleanest stores I've been to.

There are so many books and media. If you like independent owned bookstores, this is worth a visit. Would prefer dimmer lighting and later hours, but everything can't be movie magic.
