My dog was boarding there for 9 days. I never received word that anything had happened to her. When I got home, I realized she had a dime size wound on her stomach that was inflamed, scabs on her ears, scabs around her jaws and neck, and covered in mud. She proceeded to have diarrhea the next morning that had blood in it. She won’t let me pick her up without baring her teeth and crying. I do not recommend this place at all.It has been 11 days since then. They told me they would refund me, I have not received a refund. They refuse the take accountability or even let owners know when anything happens to your dog.

Been going here for years, they seem to have an issue with help, especially in the afternoon. I have to insist that the staff clean my dog when I pick him up. They don't seem to do that very well. It used to be better but I think some of the staff is gone. Price is reasonable for daycare and boarding. I really love this place and hope they are able to get some reliable help.Use to get him bathed every week but now they have raised the prices so I will have to bath him myself.

Love this place! I've never used a doggie day care before so I was hesitant at first but their staff and facilities are great! I showed up randomly and they gave me a full tour. My pup is always so happy to visit. They also have no issues with bully breeds like my guy!

Love the folks here. My girl wakes up everyday ready for a day of social fun at Downtown dog. Now have a second dog who is just as excited. The people are friendly and love dogs. My dogs second home!

My doggo absolutely loves it here and is consistently tired when I pick him up which is great. He’s also boarded a few times and that has been so useful - weekend pick up hours are perfect. I would recommend! Def take advantage of the daycare packages for extra savings.

I made a delivery to this location and everything. Seems like it’s a really great place to get stuff to take care of your dog. Very lovely lady at the front desk and I had a very nice conversation. For anybody who’s want to come out and is looking for a place to have your dog taken care of and want to know if they have customer service, this is the place to go.

I am extremely disappointed in Downtown Dog. I live close by and was referred here by a neighbor and the very first time I called I was met by a rep with a very rude disposition but I gave them the benefit of the doubt based on the referral. I dropped my dog off to be boarded for the weekend while I went out of town. The process to get him boarded there seemed legitimate and I was made to bring him in for a day to see how he adjusted to the daycare, fill out forms explaining the needs of my dog and the details of the stay, including pick up and drop off times. During my vacation I received a phone call stating that my dog was a "hand full" and asking me when I would be picking him up. This was very concerning because I am 1,500 miles away and already worried. Obviously there's nothing I can do about picking him up and now I'm wondering if he's being mistreated because they made it a point to contact me about picking him up, even though we already agreed on the pick up time. I can understand if my dog was violent or unruly but he is trained and friendly. I can understand him being annoying because he's one year old and is still learning, but I thought I was leaving him with professionals. After this incident I didn't bring him back for months but I decided to give them one more chance and bring him for one day (8am-5pm). I was hoping things would turn out great because my dog loves other animals and loves to play. When I went to pick him up today one of the reps brought him out to the car and he was limping very badly. When I got him home down the street I checked him out and all his pads were hanging on by a thread! I could not believe this. No one even contacted me to let me know that something was wrong. I could have picked him up instead of him continuing to play on them all day. I had to clean each one of his paws as he winced in pain and wrap them up. I am furious! My dog can hardly walk and is very sad! Do not feel comfortable leaving your beloved dogs with Downtown Dog.

Downtown Dog is dog heaven on earth! My foster dogs have been there for day care and boarding. They love it! The entire place is spotless and smells great. The location is super convenient for people in downtown and North Oak Cliff. Prices are reasonable but most importantly, the dogs have a blast there. Perfect if your dog needs more socialization, which is the case for a high percentage of dogs. The owner, Gwen, is a gem and truly cares about the welfare of animals. I've been taking my dog (dachshund/jack Russell mix) here for a couple months now for daycare, and he absolutely loves it. The staff are all very nice, and he is always so happy when I pick him up. I have also had his nails trimmed there a couple times, and they do a great job at that as well. You also cannot beat the price.

I love Downtown Dog. My blue heeler, Holden, has been going to "camp" at Downtown Dog about twice a week for about six months. He LOVES it and I do too. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and smiling. They know him and I by name and he is always happy to be dropped off there. Hours are 7am-7pm for a flat rate price. They will also do grooming services if asked. Several times I've forgotten his leash at home and Downtown Dog always lets me borrow one instead of making me purchase one. They do have merchandise for sale if you need something in a pinch. I love that Downtown Dog doesn't smell like dogs - other doggie daycares I know of smell like dog urine even OUTSIDE of the building. Very thankful for the staff, I know my dog is in great hands at Downtown Dog!

Pay no attention to Meri's review above. I have taken my dogs here every week for 11 years and they are amazing! You can tell they truly love the dogs they care for. The facility is clean and well maintained. It is an incredible value; literally 1/2 or even 1/3 the price of most other daycare/boarding in Dallas. I give them my absolute highest recommendation!!! Meri is a mean an vindictive person who left them a 1 star Yelp review years ago and said she would never go back. She then had the audacity to take her new dog in last week, and they politely told her "thanks but no thanks", so she had to leave a review here to get her revenge.

I love that they have numerous outdoor play areas for the dogs. At $22/day, it's a reasonable kennel in addition to an option for doggie daycare. They also have an option to have the dog groomed on your last day. The only thing that would make it better is if we could do a tour and bring our dog's own bed.

I was very pleased with Downtown Dog...they are amazing. My doggie “Tip” is a Yorkie, he’s super cute but hardly likes anyone. Since his regular place closed down he wouldn’t let anyone touch him. The young lady came out took her time with him gave him a few beef jerky stacks I bought for him to have and “Whala” my baby looked great again. Thanks you guys, were looking forward to coming back!!!

My dog needed her nails trimmed, so I called them up and they told me to come on over. I ended up going over to see them and got her nails trimmed the same day!! Their prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

I love this place. I now live in red oak and still take my dog from time to time. She knows exactly where she is when we drive up. The staff is always friendly. My dog comes pack with no energy when she returns home from play time.

My dog has gone to this daycare since she was a puppy. They take great care of her. Even when she was recovering from illness and needed a bland diet, they kept her food in the fridge and fed her as requested. They go above and beyond. My pup loves going there.

Yesterday I was told by Doah that I could bring my girl in today for a trial. When I got there they all seemed to know who she was. Then Noemi came up front and said I never scheduled the trail because she never called me back yesterday. I showed her my phone and that I had spoken to someone but couldn't remember her name. (Doah). I asked Noemi if she wanted me to take her home and she said no it was fine but continued to make sure I understood she didn't know she was coming today. I asked at least 3 times if she wanted me to take her home and she kept saying no. I called around 11am to check on my girl and Noemi said that she was nervous and she wasn't drinking or going to the bathroom. She said that they took her out of the group but she was outside with someone. I asked her to try with some male dogs. She said she would. When I got there at 345 to pick up my girl I was told by Doah that she was locked up in a room all day and she was labeled aggressive! That she was never outside until noon when she got to work. She said she took her out and she potties and played with her. She said that she was labeled aggressive and mean because they didn't know her and wanted to stop anything before it happened. How do you label a dog you never met? Doah asked me to bring her back so she can get to know her but I will never take her back there. Why? So you can charge me another$18 to lock her away? To make it worse Noemi said that she should keep coming back to get used to the place. But in reality you lied to me on the phone. She was never given the opportunity to be around other dogs and she was never outside more than 15 in 8 hours! This place is a disgrace and you should be ashamed of yourself. You labeled my dog aggressive for what? Because she's a pitty? If I could give less than a star I would.

Best value for a dog daycare facility of this size that I've found in Dallas. My dog does come home a little scratched up some time, but I think that's just a little rough play amongst the dogs. I don't think it's attributed to other dogs attacking him unsupervised. My dog is always eager to go back and exhausted when he comes home.

We are beyond impressed with Downtown Dog! The staff is very friendly, and the facility is clean with plenty of room. Our dog is small, a little shy, and she doesn't want to leave when I come pick her up. I definitely recommend Downtown Dog for all of their services!
