Highly advise going somewhere else! In my opinion, the entire staff should be fired and this place should be demolished! On multiple occasions, we have witnessed a tremendous lack of professionalism from the majority of the employees who work there and we have witnessed employees be very very rude and disrespectful to other customers, including children. Additionally, the majority of their food is always expired, the store is never clean, prices never match, and items are never where they're supposed to be. i.e. laying all over the floor, boxes unpacked, wrong location, etc. Furthermore, the staff themselves barely show up for work and the place is always closed during normal working hours. Over 8 years, we've given this place more than enough chances to clean up its act but it keeps getting worse and worse.

No one at the register with 5 people in line. One person left. Myself and another lady searched for an employee. When we finally found one she didn’t apologize. Didn’t greet us didn’t offer to give us receipts. The First Lady had to ask her to bag her items and had to request her receipt. Zero personality from employees. SMH

I have had pricing problems (on advertised products) at almost every DG I've been in (we travel all across the country), prices don't come up at register and when you point it out, a lot of employees do not know how to fix it( manager is 'out for a bit' or 'at the bank').The App doesn't always work for digital coupons and if you add the '$5 off it will disappear.Will avoid DG in the future, not worth the aggravation.

Today is 8/26/22 and it is currently 9:09 am and the doors are locked because no one is here. You have 3 cars in the parking lot waiting for you to open and a delivery truck on the side of the building also waiting for you to open so they can deliver your products. 4 more cars just pulled into the parking lot. Yall are losing a lot of business by not being open within your posted business hours. You might consider new staff or new hours. As my time is just as important as yours and now you have this bad review and customers that can no longer count on you. Shame on you!!Consider this 1 star no stars!!

I've been coming here for years, and I used to really like this place! They would have several people on staff at once so if you needed help you could likely get it. But they've clearly had fluctuating management issues since the very first time I shopped here, and it shows when they only have a single person to cover the entire store especially during a "rush" shop time. They also frequently have problems fully stocking goods or having items, and they have discontinued selling many products that are in high demand. I write this review not out of anger, but out of disappointment and frustration. I used to shop here multiple time a week (sometimes 4 times a week!) and leave with the items I needed in a timely manner. Now, I only come in MAYBE once a month IF even that, usually less, simply out of desperation, not convenience. I have multiple friends who have also noticed the issues over the last few years and have also stopped shopping there because they rarely find what they need anymore. I REALLY hope this store improves and owners/management can get everything back on its rails, improving both customer service and customer satisfaction.

Mari that works the register was INCREDIBLY RUDE. She had such an attitude with my grandma for NO reason, gave us nasty looks for NO reason and when we told her thank you and to have a good day before leaving the store, she gave attitude again. All we did was grab what we needed, and swipe our card at her register. She claimed we were trying to freeze up her computer and that was not the case. Absolutely unprofessional behavior and will gladly take our money elsewhere. This is the second time this store has had RUDE AF employees.

The assistant manager Sharon is a very professional polite and very prompt. She is very helpful and her speed of service is very delightful. We don't have to wait for very long, she gets us in and out and tells us exactly what we are looking for in the exact spot so we don't have to search for anyting.

This place has done a complete turnaround! The manager is very friendly and really puts in effort to ensure customers are happy with each and every visit. The shelves are kept stocked, it's a great place to make a quick stop.. and expect a friendly face!

Update: Change of staff didn't help. Store is a mess, can't get through most of the isles because of large carts out everywhere, always. Nothing stocked. Only one cash register open. Lines of people wrapping around isles all the way to the back of the store and they do nothing to help each other out to move the customers along. My last and final visit, was awful. Most of us standing in line for 20 minutes, just dropped there goods where they were and gave up waiting. I followed. After shopping there for the last 8 years, and continuing to hope they would improve, has come to an end. I go to the Denton location now.

The company has clearly made pretty severe staffing cut backs. The store is dirty and stock is always all over the floor and in the aisles. There never seems to be more than one employee working as the service is horrible. Always a line, people always seem irritated as well, both customers and employees quick always makes a negative experience. This same situation is noticeable at other locations as well.

Just Horrible! The staff are rude and 50% of the time it’s closed early do to either computer issues or little/no staffing. Been in Lake Dallas for over 15 years and at this point I’m giving up on this place. It’s not worth the headache.

Be careful to watch the prices at check out. Picked up several items which were hung up with price, but found all of the prices were actually much higher at check out.

Just a regular small Dollar General in a small town. Cashiers are always friendly. Best chip card reader I've experienced at a shopping or convenience store. It is fast, smooth and doesn't make that horrible buzzing noise when inserting and removing your card.

I just want to say that I had to go to this store 3x's yesterday & (all day long) not only was the store clerk by her self, cashing people out, but she was also unloading & stocking up the store. Thank much!! For helping us out! Here in Lake Dallas! We truly appreciate it👍👍

Messy and cluttered every time I've been here. Some of the employees seem rather helpful. The rest seem disgruntled and rude. Prices are good, as is selection. Location is convenient. Not much in the way of parking.

I don't know what's happening at the Lake Dallas Dollar general, but the store is dirty and the aisles are so close together with boxes of unpacked merchandise making it difficult to navigate the aisles. They must have a high employee turnover rate, I never see the same people twice and the people they do have look unkept and not very clean. This store has been going downhill for a couple of years now, but over the last few months it's gotten so I don't want to go there at all.

I am a loyal customer of the Lake Dallas Dollar General. The last two visits they overcharged me on Cesar dog food. The posted cost is $9.50 for a twelve pack. They charged me $10.00. When I complained I was informed only the manager can help you of course the manager is not here and I don’t know when she will be here. I also had a digital coupon for clothes soap that was not given to me also only the manager can help you. So I was overcharged by $4.00 not much but enough for me to shop somewhere else.

I like Dollar General. They have good prices and a reasonable selection of merchandise. As you'll probably find out, they aren't a dollar store, I guess they just like the word dollar and they put it in their name. However a lot of the merchandise in the store is more or less in the neighborhood of a dollar.

I was in this store today with a problem with a problem with a phone card that I bought the previous day. The assistant manager Rebecca not only took care of the issues I was having with the card she ended up paying for the out of her own pocket!! She had outstanding customer service and the heart of a real human!!!! Thank you!!!

There was a wide variety of products offered inexpensively but not all for only $1. The store itself seemed too small for that many products. It was crowded. I was happy to find the products that I came to buy.

I enjoy shopping for basic essential items here. Close, easy to find item (tooth paste, deodorant, etc.). The only thing I would suggest would be a better selection of hot sauce and salsa.

This is a local store where you can go to find what you forgot to buy at Walmart. Prices are the same or less than Walmart. Products are the same quality. They have a cute garden dept and it includes little ceramics for "fairy gardens". They have pkgs of paper party products and plastic cups that are $1.00. Great for New Years coming up. Greeting cards are $1.00 and you can find all sorts of goodies for a snack tray and a cute tray to put them on. I buy my cat chow there, because Purina is the same anywhere. Baby products are good quality and they have their own brand of wipes. Even lavender. All said. They have a great crew!
