Axolotl Planet is an awesome place. My daughter says they made her dreams come true. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. They helped us cycle our tank and our axolotl is healthy and very friendly. My daughter is already wanting to add another one to her tank and this is the only place I would buy from.

Very cool place where you can learn a lot about Axolotls. We were able to see the life cycle from eggs to adulthood and it was very informative. I love that their website is also helpful once you make it home with your new pet. The website is not totally up to date on everything they offer so I would suggest going in person if possible. It’s also somewhat hard to find because the city is giving them a hard time getting their sign out out front it’s tucked back in the corner of the buildings but as long as you follow the suite numbers (104) in order you can figure it out. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Bought an Axolotl from them online and was impressed by the care taken to ensure a safe arrival. The axolotl we got has been very healthy, happy, and social.My family was in town for the 2024 solar eclipse and visited their location in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, and we got to talk to the manager Drew for a while. His love for these creatures, plus his passion for their responsible care and conservation only solidified my respect for this company. I think we could have looked at all the baby axolotls and geeked out on aquarium keeping for hours. It was also impressively clean for an aquarium store. Every single tank was in immaculate condition.Would highly recommend Axolotl Planet to anyone interested in adopting one of these neat little critters.

super friendly and educated staff! they told me all about proper axolotl care and kept me informed in any areas where i was misguided. my boy, pepto, is amazing and i couldn’t be happier! (i know axolotls don’t always do well with sand in their tanks. pepto is doing great with the sand so far but it will be removed immediately if he ever has issues with it)

This place and the people that work there are really awesome !! Super helpful and just all around great folks w/ a huge selection of all types of Axoltl . I took my daughter to pick out her first and they happily answered 100 questions while she picked out the perfect one for her( a juvenile albino we dubbed Bubbles ):lol. I had spent 2+ months trying to create and cycle the perfect invionment and they made me feel really good about my set up and the work I had done . Couldn't have gone better and we will be going back soon for a GFP Melanoid.

I got this little guy at the Axolotl Planet store today and had an awesome experience!! The owner (Jake) was so kind and very informative. Upon entering the store we were immediately greeted and tended to even though there were other people in the store. He was very open to any questions and was very kind in answering them. I want to give a big thank you to Drew! His incredibly vast knowledge of the species, mixed with his kind and helpful demeanor, led to hands down one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had! He knew I wasn't ready to buy just yet but was still more than happy to answer each and every one of my questions in order to decide if bringing one of these beautiful creatures back home with me is the right choice for my lifestyle. I ordered a juvenile axolotl from Axolotl Planet via their website. Their customer service was incredibly friendly and helpful. The axolotl shipped on Monday, as described on their website, and was in my hands less than 18 hours later. The way the axolotl was packaged and shipped was immaculate. Very little waste in the water, very protected and insulated. The little guy was ready to eat and attentive immediately after removing it from the bag and prepping him to acclimate to the new tank. So far it’s been adjusting well and is a hungry little salamander. It’s a gorgeous morph and looks like it’s been extremely well taken care of its entire life before reaching me. Could not be happier with my purchase and the entire process. Thanks again!!!!!

So helpful and knowledgeable! Got to see the tanks up close and ask lots of questions. Clean facility, passionate people, happy axolotls. Not quite a ‘shop’ as they focus more on healthy breeding practices and shipping out grown ones. If you’re considering ordering from them though, we were very impressed to see the care they put into all they do. If we ever buy another axolotl, we will from Axolotl Planet without hesitation.

Really great service. We were nervous about ordering an axoltl via mail, but it arrived alive and healthy, on time and was the breed exactly described in the website. It was well packed and the instructions from the site on prep, feeding and care are very helpful. We received several updates on the package also once shipped. I would recommend this store to a friend and will definitely purchase from them again.

Came in the shop a few days ago, basically looking for a place that dealt with axolotls....duh. Was very pleased with the overall look of the store. Clean shop. Started casually talking to the associate there...I think his name was Drew. This guy KNOWS his stuff!! I know that when I adopt my axolotl(s), I'll be able to get answers directly from a person and not the internet. It seems this shop really cares about what they do.....that goes a long way with me. I am very satisfied with my purchase!If you’re looking to purchase an axolotl in the dfw area, or want one shipped to you abroad axolotl plant is definitely the best choice.The staff at axolotl planet will truly walk you through everything you need to know to prepare your tank for your new friends. If you’re not understanding their thorough guides online, they are more than happy to explain over the phone or in person.I know this because I annoyed them for quite a while with a million questions 😂All answered kindly, and in a way I could understand.I purchased two juveniles from them and followed their guides to a T.Both of them have been living together in the tank for almost 2 months now and have grown so much!Special thank you to Drew for picking out my GFP melanoid (Quetzalcoatl) and for holding onto him while I was out of town.

It’s been such a wonderful journey, my bf and I could not be more grateful for axolotl planet! We initially went into the store about a month ago, not knowing absolutely anything about what to buy for our axolotl or how would we set up the tank. We had reserved “Zenny” for pick up at a later date but while we were there luckily we had met Drew, who was amazing and explained everything in detail. He even provided us with the print-out instructions for how to prepare, set up and cycle our tank. When we finally went to pick up Zenny we met one of the co-owners who also was very helpful and friendly. He informed us some more about cycling the tank correctly and how much to feed our new buddy. For someone who had never owned a water based pet / animal, we felt very comfortable with all the help and support we received from the staff while also doing our own research. What also helped was joining Facebook groups with people who were also new to the axolotl world. Thanks again Axolotl planet for all your help, you can see in the images that Zenny is very happy in his new home.

I highly recommend this place! My kids are very interested in axolotls, however we live in California and they are banned. The guy that worked there knew this and that we wouldn't be purchasing an axolotl, yet he was still very helpful, so kind and willing to spend the time with us. We spent nearly an hour there learning about these strange creatures and we all had the best time. Incredible knowledge and setup here and we will definitely be back to visit.

We ordered our Axolotl from Axolotl Planet for overnight shipping. As this was our first salamander and a new tank, I spoke to the store several times during the ordering process to make sure we did everything right and had all the appropriate things for our new family member. They are so knowledgeable and helpful and encouraged me to call back any time I had any questions. The packaging was secure and the Axolotl arrived healthy and happy several days ago, and has remained as such so far. We are very pleased with their customer service, helpfulness, and the condition of our Axolotl. It is evident that they take great care of their salamanders and they know everything there is to know about them, and will happily share any information you need to successfully own one. Would definitely recommend this store!

I highly recommend Axolotl Planet. We made an appointment to see the axolotls and to do some more research on owning one. I have a son that is very interested. Ellen did an amazing job explaining everything to my boys. She answered all their questions and gave them time to really study them. They really enjoyed learning about all the creators at Axolotl Planet. She even let them see the baby axolotls, chubby frogs, and even a Goliath Bird Eating Spider. My boys left so excited. We plan to go back in the future to purchase a filtration kit and then an axolotl. Thank you Ellen for your patience and kindness to my boys. We really had a great time and learned so much.

To start, before even purchasing from them, I called them frantically with questions about my current axolotl. Jake was more than friendly and made sure I had all of the information I needed. He even stayed on the phone with me for nearly 20 minutes to assess my situation and advise me on what I should do. About a week later, I decided that I wanted to get another axolotl. I decided to order one from these guys because they are extremely knowledgeable, and you can tell they truly care about axolotls and their well-being. I would have loved to have visited the store in person, but I live in Baton Rouge, LA. I had a axolotl shipped to me overnight, and he arrived perfectly. He is BEAUTIFUL, healthy, and very well fed. The next time I am in Dallas, I will stop by the store to look around. Please consider these guys with all of your axolotl needs. Thank you guys again!!

As an axolotl owner myself, it was so apparent how well cared for these babies really are. Their weight, gills, habitat, and general husbandry was top notch and I felt that the employee we spoke with was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and experienced. I wish we had a place as great as this where we're from!!
