Dr. Evans has always been there for our animals. Over the years he’s tended to our cat, dogs, donkey, and horses. Weekends, holidays, after hours he’s always been there to help. The services we’ve used includes checkups, surgeries, emergencies, and kenneling. The staff in the office, kennel, and clinic are kind and loving to the animals. Thank you Gardendale Veterinary Clinic for being a great service to our Gardendale community.

Absolutely love, Dr. Evans and the whole clinical team they are the best!!! We found the clinic by accident when our English Bulldog Oscar started became I'll that was 7 yrs ago when we first moved here from Seattle Washington. I won't take my babies anywhere else. We sadly lost 2 of our babies, and the whole clinic was teared up and sad for our loss. They even sent us a condolence card for both Bella and Oscar. Thank you, Gardendale Vet. we can't thank all y'all enough for all y'all do for usLove Khloe, Sofia, Dixie, Olaf, Khaos, and Karma and from our hoomans to!!!

An INCREDIBLE FACILITY!!! Karen & Tasha LOVE your pets as much as you do!! My dog presented with a serious bladder infection 2 days after she came in to board. I was on a cruise & was not reachable. Tasha left me a message which popped up when I docked. I gave her permission to do what she thought needed to be done. She took my dog, Jane, to the vet, where she got Jane treatment & medication. She did all this while I was 1200 miles away!! Tasha kept in constant contact with me about Jane's healing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS KENNEL for your fur babies!! They went over & above anything I expected!!

My pup was sick and was worked into what appeared to be a pretty full schedule so I was glad to get a same day morning appointment. He got a shot and after the first dose of antibiotic, he was SO much better. Very pleased Dr. Evans knew what was wrong by my description and knew exactly what to prescribe.

We love this clinic! They are SO friendly here and get you in and out super fast. I don't think I have ever had wait more than 5 minutes for anything! The vet knows his stuff and explains things simply! Love the staff!

friendly, professional, and caring. was in and out quickly with my dog getting all his shots and check up for the year. the staff handled my Rottweiler well despite his desire to get away from the thermometer lol the people there love animals and the vet is direct in his evaluation and suggestions on treatment, he will also explain other options and why he suggested the treatment plan he does.

I’m only giving one star because it’s the minimum i’m able to give. This is the most unprofessional Vet I have ever had to deal with. We are in TX for 3 months and I wanted to make sure my pup could be boarded/go to daycare and the requirements were different. He needed two shots. I called around to several clinics all week, including this one. The first time I called I spoke to a man named Shannon who said no, they do not offer the flu vaccine. After calling every other clinic I could find with no luck, I decided to call this one back. I spoke to someone else and they informed me that yes, they do offer that vaccine. I was able to get him in for an appointment after having records sent over from his vet in Tennessee. When I made his appointment, I verified the spelling of his name. The records that were sent over for him had his proper name on them. When I got home yesterday after the appointment, I was reviewing the receipt and his name was wrong. There have been multiple other things that were completely unacceptable at this office, including how the staff treats people and our animals. I came in prior to bringing my dog in to make sure I got any paperwork done that was necessary and was told there wasn’t any. When I walked in, there was an aggressive dog in the lobby and he tried to bite my dog when I went to the counter to do the paperwork they said I did not have to do. They were acting as if my dog was the problem. I would never recommend this place, and after I go back for his flu shot booster I will not be going back to this clinic. These are the most uncaring, unprofessional, and rude people I’ve ever dealt with. Also, if you want a vet that will try to make your dog feel comfortable by letting them sniff and say hello before prying their mouth open, this is not the place for you. I feel so bad for my boy and the many others that i’m sure have dealt with this. Having my poor dog scared to be touched after being handled by them is absolutely sickening.

Vet is great but the office is killing it for him. 1st incident is trying to schedule an appointment for my pet that had already been seen there “don’t have in the system” several phone calls later he was listed as a cat and his information was all wrong. 2. When you schedule an appointment they tell you one time then when they call you to confirm it’s a different time. 3. I set an appointment for shots for my pet and a new pet who has never been seen before by a vet just had shots at fit west Texas and I want him to be seen there by the vet. I explained several times when making the appointment he has not been seen by a vet just shots. They call to confirm yet again a different time explain again he does not have a vet just previous shots by fix it west texas. Make the 40 minute trip to gardendale just to tell me one of my dogs can’t be seen for shots because they need the paper work I explain again the situation and now they need his previous shot records to even get shots. I just left too many issues and headaches just trying to go here. Wasted over an hour in traveling and gas. Need to find a place that is organized and has a front office that knows how to handle paperwork, appointments, and give proper information.

My 17 year old dog was sick and needed to be seen same day (chronic issue) and our normal vet could not fit us in. I called all around Midland and no one had any openings. A friend recommended Gardendale vet to us and they were able to fit us in the same afternoon. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and they fixed my dog up immediately. I could not be more grateful to them for being able to fit us in.

I was excited to try a new vet and this ones close to home. I have a lot of anxiety taking my two dogs into vets because their my kids. Aside from the normal yearly shots I was considered about Their itchy skin. My oldest dog has had bad skin allergies for a long time and we give both the girls nature pet hemp allergy aid, and it works great, however they’ve been extra itchy so I figured maybe something is blooming that’s making it extra worse.The vet seemed very uninterested in me and my dogs.He gave them booth steroid shots to help with allergy itch. My oldest dog has had them before so I’m familiar.For my oldest dog he suggested a food allergy, and suggest special $100 food. (I didn’t end up purchasing the food from the vet because she is 13yrs old and she eats fresh pet, dry dog food dehydrates dogs, also if you have an old dog you know changing of food can be a pretty big deal). (Also she has eaten fresh pet for 4 years and up until two weeks ago she wasn’t this itchy, so unless fresh pet changed their ingredients the food allergy makes little sense)It’s been 48 hours and not only are they both still itchy, my lab has broken skin, some hair missing and redness on her back by her tail.If the vet would of slowly looked over their skin I believe he would of seen this, whatever it is I’ll be going to a new vet tomorrow and I spent my good money to come home and continue to watch my girls be miserably itchy. I understand that overall dogs can be hard to diagnose especially when it’s skin, however, I do feel like he could of investigated their skin further. As the owner of my dogs I think you kind of just know by watching the vet interact with your dog if they are compassionate.

I am very pleased with the process to spay our cat, and later when she developed respiratory symptoms, I was able to be worked in on a Saturday morning within 30 minutes of showing up without an appointment. The staff are very friendly and Dr. Evans is extremely professional. I would recommend them for your pets and large animals.

No lie, I came in expecting my whole wallet to be emptied out based on past reviews but was so relieved when checking out. Do not base your decision to come here on distance or past bad reviews. My antisocial dog was hesitant at first but the staff was amazing and very friendly and I will definitely be returning. Thank you. ❤

2/13/2015Worst experience ever at a vet clinic. $48 dollars for the new female vet to take her temp, weigh her and feel her belly. The did not look at the eyes like i asked when I made the appointment. I told them my collie is sluggish and has eye boogers. Get to the vet of course the girls at the front desk are new, its like a revolving door there. The vet technician!!! Really, I cant hold my own dog. The only vet I have been to where someone besides the Dr takes my dog and holds it. This time by the neck, I will hold my own dog thank you. Dr. Anna always let me do that. Not sure who this new vet is or if she is in training or what but she did not do anything but say we can do blood work, x-rays and asked about tick medicine. My dog has not had a tick in 3 years thank you. The "vet" didn't even look at her eyes, the technician was too busy holding my dogs throat. Rude as I have ever seen. So I call and I am put on hold for 15 minutes, so I hang up and call back. Finally Dr. Evans the male vet there calls me back, he keeps saying sorry sorry sorry, He did not care I could tell. I asked for a partial refund because I paid $48.00 dollars for her to do nothing with my dog. He said I will give you 20%. I said fine (what a joke). Then he hangs up on me. I had to call back and ask the girl to go ask her boss to give me my whole $9.60 back. I would not recommend this vet, I would recommend University Small Animal Clinic or Angel Vet. NOT GARDENDALE VET!!!!!!! I give this place NO Stars. Sorry to Dr. Anna because she is an awesome vet. Unfortunately she was not there today.

This place is terrible. Their front desk employees are rude. If you are not Hispanic don't count on getting waited on. If it wasn't for a small town vet this place should close its doors. Seems everytime we have tried to give them another chance, it's another issue.

Was a first time walk-in after my dog got hit by a car and they were very fast and efficient. Took care of my baby and gave me all the information I needed. Highly recommend them, great Dr.

My dog was needing and emergency c section and was turned away because they wanted the 4000$ dollars upfront and when I asked them to split it into they said no and took there time giving me back my dog during this whole time she's bleeding and trying to give birth. I highly recommend not using this vet clinic if it was truly about the animals and the love for them in my own opinion they could've helped . I'm disgusted with what kind of people they are.

They currently have a drive up service. Brought a stray in for an injured eye. Was looked at by the doctor and ready to go within 20 minutes. Doesn’t get any better than that. The doctor was really nice And informative as well.
