I like this store. They have a better selection then Amy other Dollar General in the area. I was frustrated yesterday when I went there to purchase Krimpets. They had them but could not sell them to me as they weren't on the computer. Drove 5 miles out of my way to get them.

Absolutely unreliable. Since the remodel, this location is closing at 5pm regularly. They blame issues with the air conditioning over and over again. Ownership or corporate should step up and have this issue resolved immediately. This Dollar General is literally the closest "grocery/shopping" location for the town of Martindale.

This place has always been a great go to for the little things and last minute items without having to go into town. The only thing I would improve and I know it is out of the control of the peoe at the store is there are always restocking carts in the aisles covering the shelves. This wouldn't be too much of a problem but this is a small store that has all of our needs. The people are super helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. They don't hesitate to stop whatever they are doing and help you out.

They have a lot of really cool stuff for Christmas right now and price really reasonable. The cashiers are always friendly and helpful every time I go I just browse for like an hour. And when they have sales for clothes man they have great prices for like a dollar or two for the complete little outfit they usually have it at the end of the season.

Friendly staff and clean, well-stocked store. I enjoy seeing the displays of their housewares. It looks really nice and well put-together. I found an offset spatula a few months back. I had been to all types of other stores, even the Outlet Mall and couldn't find one. I go to the Dollar General in Martindale and found one! 🙌

Was greeted with a smile, a hello and a genuine feeling of good customer service. This is not one of those "bad DG locations". Excellent selection of food, pharmacy, and housewares/odds n' ends. Give this location a try to see what a GOOD DG store looks like.

While visiting this little town, if you don't want to head back into the bigger city, you can find most of your grocery and/household needs at this Dollar General. They are all stocked and always hold cheery disposition!

I really like the location of this store. As many small towns have grown in the area, traffic has grown as well. Having said that, I've resorting to using backroads for San Marcos, Lockhart, Luling, and New Braunfels. Although, I have recently moved back into the area, I now see how busy these areas have become. The real kicker is the college students arent even the area. Suffice to say, rural shopping or mom and pop eateries have become a staple in my life. That is why I feel this store deserves 5 stars.

Unlike our local HEB store, you can actually get in the parking lot. That plus friendly service makes Dollar General my first choice.

We stopped in to get a Visa gift card but they tell me AT THE REGISTER after waiting in a long line that Visa gift cards are cash only. There was no notice where the gift cards were displayed. I went and got an Amazon gift card instead but then their scanner at the register didn't work. They apologized but overall, poorly run!

Good friendly service, good spot, but some of the other customers were rude to cashier..but she killed them with kindness! busy usual hours noon,5pm-6pm and sometimes before closing.

The staff here is very, very, nice. Lots of selection for $1-$5. Martindale is a very small town so this is the only store in Martindale.I live far away from Martindale. I was driving back from a Soccer game in Schertz. After the game, I was looking for a Tex-Mex restaurant. I found El Taco Feliz and I was driving there. I pulled up to it and found out that it was a trailer. I went to Dollar General on the way to looking for more Tex-Mex.I came out of the store, into my car and drove to Herbert's Taco Stand instead.If you live in Martindale, please, go to this store.

I used to be quite a fan of DG. Now, I like Dollar Tree much more. Really great values are easier to find at DT.
