The price tags are deceptive. Bottle of wine rang up $1.85 more than the price tag on the shelf. $1.75 soda price tag on the shelf is $2.00 + $0.18 tax at the register. 2 stars for super friendly staff otherwise it'll be 0 stars. Maybe they are pressed for business given that there is a family dollar/dollar tree combo store only a few feet away. Plus an elderly lady with salt & pepper hair (mostly salt) will short change people on purpose while writing down the amount of short change so she can pocket the extra and still have her till not come up short at the end of day. If you shop here, beware or be happy to get jipped.

What can I say pictures are worth a thousand wordsovercrowded with stock everywhere in the isles in the floor you couldn't walk down through there to do any shopping it is absolutely appalling and I have a business that good and then let it go to pot like that

This place is a disaster! The worst I've ever been to as a matter of fact. Products on the shelves are not fronted or even made to look nice. Half the stuff you go in looking for is either out or still on carts located throughout the store in the isles there's trash and whatnot on the floors it's really a nasty store. The employees there are nice and cordial but do not get in any hurry if they've got a line 15 people long or even call for a second cashier to help. I stood in line for 25 minutes just to buy a quart of oil and I would had left and just bought it somewhere else if I hadn't already stood there for 15 minutes then I felt why leave now I've been here this long. Ya know?! I try to avoid this store as much as possible even driving to the next town if I have too just so I don't have to go there. Again the employees are great but that store in general is not.

Found mostly what was looking for. Had not been in that DG for some time. At least 8 months. Even though there were stocking carts waiting for attention scattered around the store, it was difficult to move a cart up and down the isles. Plus, many of the isle displays were messy and undesernable. There were abandoned hand-carry baskets on the isle floors, some with half used items in them. Because of all of the isle blockage, I didn't feel safe in the store.When I was walking towards the check out I stepped on a wrapper from an item, that I assumed had been shop lifted, it stuck to the of my shoe. Gross. It was at this moment I though, there is truly something wrong about this place.When I got to the cashier. He was getting a counseling/up-date from (I assume) the Manager. She told him about sales stats, number of people in the lines per profit, waiting times for customers, basically how to sell and keep the store open!!!! Joking that she never took a full break, and, of course, neither did he! I was in the USAF for 26 years and would have Never talked to one of my "Workers" in front of the Customers in that way. There was no privacy involved in their face to face, and no way for him to reply to her comments in an honest way. She was wrong for doing her counseling that way (make time for quiet one on one!), and mostly his fault for allowing her to do it while he was working with customers.When checked out I asked him if this store was always this Sloppy, he said No.When I left the store two customers thanked he for speaking up. And, another walked by my vehicle giving me a stare. I'd seen her and the cashier talking before she exited the store. To the cashier, grow up/suck it up and fix the problem. To the Manager, think about the correct way to do your job. Just checking the boxes is not being the Boss.I'll continue to shop Dollar General, just not this Store. Thanks

There is a heavy set Caucasian lady there that is out right racist! She encourages her staff to be the same. I don't like sending my children there. One day after a basketball game, I sent my 16 year old and his basketball team mate into the store for some door racks. Soon as they turned up an isle, I saw her dashing in full sprint behind them! Neither would have stolen out the store! I got out the car very offended. I'm a large woman tall and stout. She disappeared, but I was sure to let her and the employee behind the counter know just how upsetting the entire scene was! If it wasn't so close to my house, I wouldn't shop there EVER! When I can get to Family Dollar, that's what I do. I only go there when I absolutely have to. A fight comes with picking on my oldest son! He's the humbled person I've ever known, and I'll defend him with everything I have and can muster as a mother... Always

This store looks the same as ALL the others- but, it is not even close . While the employees are all very helpful and friendly in all the other stores, as well as this one, this store stands out due to its cleanliness, even when they are stocking. Hec, the clearance aisle is even more organized & clean! It's easy to maneuver a cart thru the aisles any day of the week. Another reason this store stands out. Is its selections. Way more items to choose from. They have an extensive frozen section, as well as drinks, they even have more choices of water. Pertaining to some of the merchandise, I've noticed the prices are equivalent to five or ten cents higher then other Dollar General Stores. The store remains the same standard everyday. Clean & friendly- I recommend this store forsure.

The store was a pig sty. The last few times I've been in the store, merchandise was spread all over in gray crates. It was nearly impossible to find any thing. I had to move two racks to get to the Band-Aids. The store is being run on too tight a budget. There are more than enough people wanting jobs in the area for that to be going on. I will Never shop at that particular store again. I will come home to Naples. If that store becomes such an inconvenient mess, I'll stop shooing Dollar General all together. The experience was so bad, it made me want to go back to Walmart.

Usually over packed with overstock and hard to maneuver around the other aisles. However it was opened up the other day, and I went at a less busy time so I was in and out at a timely manner, and the staff is always friendly, and there has been times they have gone out of their way to look for items I'm looking for

Went in to purchase helium filled balloons for a new birth. Balloons I wanted were out if stock as well as they had a VERY limited selection to choose from. Ended up going to another store (different company) and getting everything I wanted.

Cleanest store by far in the area. Friendly staff and a person can get up and down the aisles getting their shopping items without boxes stacked up in front of everything. Stopped shopping at other DG stores in the area because of the boxes of items blocking the aisles and finding ants in cereal boxes.

This store is FILTHY!!! The floors look like they haven't been cleaned in years, trash is all over the parking lot, products block the walkways.Corporate... you really need someone to come take a look at this. It is literally the nastiest DG I have ever been in.

You can usually find what you need here. But it is always crowded with stock to be put up or in the process of taking down. If you have an issue with a price or coupon i have been told on numerous occasions that there is nothing they can do...i usually go to the Dollar General in Lonestar! So CLEAN, STOCKED AND THE CASHIERS ARE REALLY NICE!!!

This was a very clean store. It is conveniently located. Walmart is cheaper but not by much. The store staff or friendly and engaging unlike Walmart where you can enter and not a single employee will look at you or talk to you even at the checkout. They sell clothes and pharmaceuticals over-the-counter non-prescription and items for the home and comfort food. I think the special thing about this General Store Dollar General Store is the people they are very friendly and maybe it's the small town atmosphere but it was what made it special.

If you haven't tried the Dollar General App yet, you are missing out! What's special is the coupons for already marked down items from the Weekly Ad, in some cases you can get several dollars off an item that is aldready on sale or clearance! Has everything you need including clothes and nice household goods like wall art and rugs!

Out of the 3 dollar stores in the Lone Star/Daingerfield/Hughes Springs area I would rank this one 2nd with lone star being first and Hughes springs being last. This store is ALWAYS cluttered. It’s like they have nobody to stock the shelves. I can find what I need though just can’t move around in store. Associates are super friendly and I always come to shop but wish it was a little more tidy.

This store is a mess! Shelves are bare or just have stock piled on them. Isles are almost impossible to get through because huge metal carts are blocking them. The store in Hughes Springs never looks like this. Only go in Daingerfield store when I have to now!!

This store is always a mess, dollar gen needs to hire stockers AND checkers. They expect the checkers to do it all. Which may be okay if the store is not busy. This store is always busy, so the checkers can't do it all.

This store is very cluttered. You have to wait in line for quite some time because the cashier is either slow or not even at the register. It never looks clean in this store. It is pitiful.

Very cluttered. White staff are racist and impatient. Lines are usually very long because there is only one cashier at a time.
