I've been bringing my dog here to use the convenient, well stocked wash area. They have different shampoos, towels and a closed in area with a small gate. There are three wash tanks, small, medium and large. Until today, my experience has been a good one. Today, my dog came in needing a bath and left the same way.The large tank that I need to use was in "use" by an employee when I got to the wash area. She was across the room from a wet dog tied in the wash tank checking her phone. When I came in she immediately went back to and began to wash the dog.While waiting for her to finish, a couple came up with their dog asking if I was in line. I let them know I was waiting on the large wash tank. They chose to go ahead of me and use the medium one. In the time that I had been waiting, they bathed, dried and left with their dog. When they left, they let me know that there were no towels left. In the meantime, the employee is still washing the dog (see where this is going?).I went to let an employee know that there were no towels in case the opportunity presented itself for me to wash my dog. He appeared to take action to get some towels to the wash room. I took this opportunity to go to the restroom, dog in tow. It had been awhile you know. Upon return to the wash area there were still no towels. The dog in the tank was now being blow dried, and blow dried, and blow dried. After waiting until the poor dog was likely deaf and turning to dust from being dried so long in addition to the fact that there were still no towels (maybe in the dryer waiting for the cycle to finish?) I'd had enough. Done. I quit. I threw in the towel...I did a Darren and made the cashier aware of my angst. He politely apologized, gave me a credit for the wash, and a free wash card for future washes. For this, I add two stars. The next time my dog and I visit, I'll check the wash area for employees before I pay....

I have been bringing my dog for years and took her today for grooming. The groomer sucks!! She did a piss poor job was not friendly at all. She charged me an extra 15 for express wash and extra 15 for nail service , isnt that suppose to be included in full grooming service??? They never said she was aggressive and she told me there is a note on her chart! So needless to say i wont be going back. Shaving un even!!Dont book with Kylee !!!

Every single time I have gotten fish at the Cypress location on 529, they are always unhealthy. I have a large tank w/beautiful fan tail fancy gold fish. Healthy stable tank. All this fish came from Nemo and Friends. 4 days ago I made the mistake and purchased 2 young gold fish that were in a tank alone. I got 1 brown bug eye fish, young fish. That fish was covered in ICK within 2 days. It has now spread to the 2 bug eye fish I had. I did a water change 1 day prior to putting these fish in my tank. I had the flush that fish to get it out of the tank. I will be so mad if I loose any of my mature fish. This store needs to stop selling fish!! The other location doesn’t. The kids working there are uneducated in fish. I should have learned my lesson. Why would I ever consider going back!!!! Do not shop at this store for any living creatures!!

I use the grooming service for my Malti-poo. Maylyn always grooms her. She does a great job and is very cordial. My dog seems to like her. We also shopped for dog food. Everything we needed was in stock. .

This store has self-service dog bathing facilities. They provide shampoo, conditioner, towels, and a dryer. I found this convenient for my big dog.

I expect to have some allergies at a pet store from other pets, not because a mold colony is growing. Two hours after bathing my dog and it stills feels difficult to breathe.

Great place to come for a self-service dog wash. I love the value of the dirty dog discount card! The staff is super friendly and helpful! I live in San Antonio, and go to Pet Supplies Plus all of the time. I am glad I found this convenient location near my mom!

I love coming here! They always have what I need for my fur babies and everyone that works there is so nice and very helpful. I love how it's never too crowded so I don't get overwhelmed like at Wal-Mart or the grocery store. I always come here for all my fur babies needs. I highly recommend this place! They really do love animals!

Inhumane!! I love to look at the fish when I stop here for supplies but this trip made me think twice before assisting in funding this company with my purchases. Something needs to be done about this ASAP it’s just not okay. Some fish we’re eating the dead remains of the ones in the corner....very grotesque.

The only pet store that regularly has the food I need for my fur babies (special urinary tract wet food). I've ordered delivery several times and they are quick to get me my order. I even ordered late one night, not expecting it to arrive until the next day, but within the hour it was at my door. Awesome service! UPDATE: They've been out of a flavor of the food I buy several times, but still excellent service when I order delivery or pickup.

I’ve been coming here for over 3 years. I’ve always given my phone number at check out thinking I would get some sort or reward or discount. I’ve NEVER received a single discount. Today I was told that giving your phone number at check out has nothing to do with rewards. Note to everyone- ask about their rewards program or go to another store for less expensive food. Just lost a customer.

I was seeking information regarding a stray kitten found at my property. Having no knowledge of cats, my Daughter and I went to our neighborhood Pet Supplies Plus store for guidance. Boy did we get it! Store Associate Hunter was out at our car to see the little kitten, looked her over and as she cradled in his arms, we went back into the store and got food & supplies needed to keep her safe and healthy until we found her a home. I will be forever grateful for his professional expertise and care given on such a hectic and stressful day. Thanks again Hunter!

Area is a little rough but the store and staff is nice. The curb side pickup helps a lot but it really is worth going inside because you might find some deals.

Great customer service terrible quality of fish!!! They don’t quarantine or Medicaid before sale. Everything ended up with Ike, I now have hospital tanks set up because the 2 days in methylene blue wasn’t enough. 😬🤷‍♀️ buy fish at your own risk.

I will never bring my animals back here for grooming again, 3strikes your out! Got worse and worse! 1) I took one in for a nail & paw clean up. Was incomplete, saying she wouldn’t let them. $28 2) wash cat an cut out mats, they shaved her in spots all over, she looked pokey dotted, should have just shaved her completely which I authorized $68 3) just took my dog in for a deshed spa pkg, they washed and blow dried but didn’t brush out nor do her paws & nails. $88 I asked about the hair falling out of her when I picked her up and pet her and groomer told me it is unreasonable to think we could get 100% of hair. But if I am getting hair stuck between my fingers..?? I reminded her of the policy/guarantee if they pull one hair.. she said that wasn’t their policy anymore. So TWO days later I am in a hair tornado brushing my dog out, and cleaning my house all over again. Because when you use deshedding shampoo and not brush out, all that loosened hair will get everywhere! Funny because at the same time we washed my Aussie in self wash, dried and brushed her out and she is not shedding any hair anymore. $8. Not, that they are not nice or can do a good job but I am tired of the incomplete work, leaving me to finish the job. I might as well do the whole job!! And save me the stress & $$. Lost 2 stars from my original 4 stars, I still enjoy the store.

Very convenient location. Used to travel 30 mins 1-2 times a month for dog food. This location is super close! Only down fall is the brand of dog food I get is more expensive than when I travel 30 mins to my usual spot I get dog food..Update 7/29/23: I love the coupons I get on a regular basis and the points that I rack up so can use toward my dogs food, but it’s always the website that’s always down and/or crashes when I try to redeem more points.. please get that fixed.

Friendly and welcoming staff! I was able to find a product I hadn’t been able to find at any other pet store. They carry quality products and staff are readily available to help you. They also have a grooming salon where I was able to schedule an appointment for my pup. Prior to my visit I was hopping from one pet store to another, only to find that this store had everything I need. I’m definitely coming back!

Overall I like these stores I've been to three different ones now. Each are independently owned. I went there looking solely at fish nothing else. They had a few fish but nothing that any other store doesn't already have. But they are clean some of the prices a bit high on food and such but I was only there for the fish. They offer grooming for dogs and all sorts of other tail Wags & Wiggles. I recommended if you're on a pinch and needed your food now or just want to browse around cuz they're always real clean and friendly.
