This is the quintessential small town grocery store, and just a stone’s throw away from home. Super convenient location and great staff! And it’s clear that these ladies and gentlemen remember their customers and genuinely care about what’s been going on in their lives. Trust me, your Walmart cashier will never remember your face like these folks do.I’ve run across some very pleasant little surprises here - like chopped nopalitos, which are a delicious and healthy addition to tacos. It’s also nice to see some veggies on major clearance every now and then, whether they end up in that night’s dinner, provide seeds for my garden, or feed my compost bin. Local jarred treats and wines are a nice touch.I am also very appreciative of their connection to the community. A while back, they collected donations of sports drinks for the Crandall fire department.Three little disappointments however - and they may or may not apply to other visitors…1. Ingredient quality. The “fresh” beef is often more brownish-green than red. I generally don’t trust the meats here. And the prices aren’t that great either. Bell peppers have that “tire fire” smell, which always comes back to haunt me. Mushrooms have grown “fur” within a few days of purchase. Cheese selection is heavily processed; I would love to see some real mozzarella balls for a change.2. Some items live and die on these shelves. I picked up a medicine for cats, only to realize that it had expired *years* ago. Glad I noticed before checking out!3. It’s difficult to find allergen-free items, namely wheat/gluten free. I know I’m not the only Crandall resident with that need. Something as simple as a GF cake mix or frozen pizza (even if it’s one of each) isn’t too much to ask for. Right…?All in all, I appreciate the tight-knit feel of this location and will return for years to come.

A very nice country store. I never had a problem there. Items are always easy to locate. The employees and management are great. Sometimes there is a line, but it goes quickly. I was very impressed with the produce section. I love doing my shopping there! I always get very friendly service. Every day the staff continues to impress!

Mold smell is really bad immediately upon entering. Turned right & went down produce isle. I literally had to leave, the mold was giving me an asthma attack. Maybe the rugs by the door. It’s strong!April 14, 2023 9:05amI’ll have to go to Seagoville or Kaufman. I’d rather my $$ stay local.

Good sales when you can catch them. Many items are eprices higher than Walmart; however, you don't have to drive or fight the crowds at Walmart. Their staff is friendly and helpful.

This place is changed so many names since I first moved into Crandall many years ago. I love the fact that this place is employee-owned if they keep it very clean and the checkers are usually pretty good. They still offer to carry your groceries out at no charge which is a very big plus. They're a little bit higher than everyone else but that kind of comes with the territory when you really go somewhere very close.

Love my small town grocery store, but as much as I frequent there and have bought the same carton of ciggs for 3 yrs now once a wk, so I would think they would keep them in stock but unfortunately they keep forgetting to order them. It's a loss for them cuz when I go into get my ciggs I usually always purchase other items. When they dont keep my ciggs in stock I have no reason to go there when I can go get other items cheaper somewhere else, so please please get it together and order my ciggs cuz I would rather support my small town grocer.

I was very disappointed to find yet another item that was expired when I got it home. Usually I love this store but I think this is a problem they need to start looking into more

Folks are always nice. It's just a small town store, a bit to pricey and a bit too small for a full grocery shopping. It's good to stop in when you forget something.
