It's used to be a premiere store. In last couple of years, they: 1) Tripled prices. 2) Super Saturdays once/mo, vs twice/mo. 3) No more carry out help; 4) Rounding up totals (they ask you in front of others and it's embarrassing to decline); 5) Very few good choices on colors of the week. 6) Very long lines on Super Saturdays, due to staff shortages. 7) Many items obviously from "dollar stores" more expensive than the original. 8) No longer electrical item returns if defective.We, the customers, lost 8 privileges, but gained ZERO!Now, the good: conveniently in neighborhood. Good hours. Still, it's better than buying new at Dillard's. A good place to go and get distracted.The suggestion: consider bringing back some privileges listed above. Everything is donated, after all; nothing is produced by, or cost the company anything. Also, it would be nice if you publicly post how you're benefiting the community, and nationwide. It's satisfying to know our support as customers really goes to others in need, besides the leaders.

This place is really handy. It's right next to the highway, by HEB and Walmart. I was staying at the Motel 6 across the bridge in Padre Island and they didn't have a coffee maker. So, I went to the Goodwill store and picked one up for 4 bucks. There were several to choose from along with clothes, painting and other kitchen stuff. The staff was really friendly and there is plenty of parking

I was there a couple weeks ago and this rude employee named something like Sandra or Sonia who is old in her late 40s early 50s white complected has lightish brown hair and wears glasses who was very rude to me and my little babies my 7 year old son was playing with a toy gun from the top shelves where they put toys on top where the clothes are and he later places it back up there he put it where all the dishes were thinking it was the same place well right when he set it down that lady right away took it almost grabbing it from his hand shook her head and then went to another employee who was doing community service and went to go talk bad about my 7 year old little boy and continued to talk bad about me and my kids. This is disgusting behavior coming from an elderly employee when we did nothing wrong.

Fitting rooms are closed!! The two lady employees who were walking around were rude, and lazy. One told me the fitting rooms were closed, and we could not use the restroom to try on the clothes. Then had the nerve to talk trash when I decided to not purchase the clothes. You have a no return policy. Why would I just give you money if I was unsure if they'd fit properly. What a joke. We did purchase some interesting looking books. The gentleman Oscar was great. Super sweet guy. Very friendly. The ladies could take a few lessons from him.

Little did organize, men and women have plenty of clothes. T-shirts, and pants. The majority of the clothes probably should have been tagged for purchase. The same with the bed sheets and blankets. Employees look like they are not to thrilled to be working and it was just 3 hours into today's opening

Updated Jan 28: not sure what's going on at this location, looks like new management but what was an ok store is now not in my opinion. All the prices have started to go up and I think they are simply not reasonable anymore. I'm not a reseller, I was genuinely buying stuff here because it's where I could afford to so thanks a lot. I used to make a $7-$15 purchase most of the times I went here on things like clothes, linens, books, occasionally stuffed animals etc and the last couple times I just got nothing because of the prices. Otherwise: The store is not super filthy and has public restrooms that are useable, but no dressing room and no returns on clothes. Sometimes I would see or accidentally buy something that was damaged in the store, so you have to be careful. I don't see very well, so its a challenge for me, especially because I find the lighting in the store is pretty poor, especially if relying only on the overhead (after dark or very overcast days) The cashiers I interact with most often are very friendly and I appreciate them, but there are some unpleasant associates too.

I've been in other Goodwill stores in town, by far the Goodwill store in Flour Bluff is the Best!! The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. I never had any problems nor complaints. I walk into the store in a good mood and come out in a better mood. I find what I need most of the time also find things I don't need. The store is very clean, lots of items for sale at great prices especially for those watching their budget like I am. Thank you to the amazing staff, I'm sure it's a lot of work to keep up with tons of donations and I think everyone is doing an awesome job. Way to go!!

Its 4:59 the door and website days closes at 6. We just trying to walk in and was yelled at that they are closed. Its not even 6 and if they are closed should have locked the door and changed signs on doors and website. Will not be back. NO NOT RECOMMEND. Will go to a REAL STORE TO SPEND OUR money.

Love the prices and is the only place I can get all the different styles that I like. They have changed the store around, more organized. You never know what kind of cool stuff your gonna find that you didn't even know you needed. You can find anything and everything there.

They only have 13 shopping carts ,when they have a sale never any carts.The cashier's, are very rude ,they act like your bothering them .I was there Saturday, they had 3 cashier's, all three were rude,one kid named Xavier, never even looked at me or said hello ro thank you.I said thank u he sano problem..This sore is in desperate need of a good cleaning and a professional manager.i know they don't pay much, but they still are in need of a real manager.It used to be a nice store ,but not now .

This used to be a great store. Clothes were organized by size color and style. The last 6 months they have reopened, it's like they don't even care. Clothes are shoved willy-nilly on to overcrowded racks, full of empty hangers and dirty clothing. This thrift store is too expensive to operate like this. The changing room was closed, understandably, but now they've removed the mirror on the wall as well. When I asked the clerk about it, her response was "if you don't see it, it's not there." No longer my favorite place to spend a weekday afternoon. So disappointed and angry enough to write my very first bad review ever.

I love to go here! Not only are the cashiers very friendly but also the workers in the back. A few times I needed someone to load pieces of small furniture in my van and there was this very nice young man to help me. He always says, "thanks for allowing us to have a job". Something to that affect. :)

They work very hard at keeping things of like items together and a mannerly place. They let you shop on your own unless you have a question. They are quick to respond and pay attention to customers that shop there.

Cashier lady took my 50 dollar bill and disappeared to the back of the store while my friend waiting outside to put stuff in the car. Manager wouldn't comp anything at all. Mind you it's all donated. I waited for half a hour to finally get my money back and get one item for 99 cents. Don't ever want to go back there. But I will.

The place was overall good ok prices but the only part I did not like how the cashier treated the customers. She acted like she did not like anyone there like she was better then everyone in the store her name was Katie she was rude she, did not even smile that kind of person make themselves look ugly. She should get another job away from people you can see she hates her job.

It smelled terrible as soon as you walked in. All the sizes were mixed up and looked like they really should've been given away. Definitely not worthy of resale. All items didn't have prices on them so when I got to the counter, I let her know I didn't understand the color system or pricing so she just kind of seemed like she was ringing them up at her discretion without explanation and gave me a total, which I didn't think was worth the price, but since I waited forever in line cause she just kept making small talk with someone in front of me. No other cashier was working until later on and instead of asking me to come over as I was the next customer in line, she motioned another customer that had just walked up to get in line. I will never, ever go back there again. Terrible customer service and nasty place.

It's Goodwill. You get what you get. If you enjoy a good scavenger hunt, this place is for you. We've found a few hidden treasures here. I love searching for unusual t-shirts here. (The things people put on t-shirts...am I right?) Checkout can be a little slow. Bring a snack.

A little bit surprised that the the prices were as high as they were for the quality of goods found here. Your competition, Salvation Army, seems to be a little bit more particular about the quality of their products. It’s not just that, the store was not kept very neat and Doesn’t have a large selection. Surprising, since I see trailers on the island filled to capacity with lot more than just clothing… Where does it all go?

Not very much of a selection of things like I thought there would be. It was pretty bare and I left spending $4.33. I’ve never spent that little in a Goodwill and I’m an impulse buyer that usually ends up with a ton of random stuff I never even needed! 🤣 I’m not used to all of the Knick knacks being on top of the clothes, every Goodwill I’ve ever been to has them on shelves separately from the clothes, it made it really odd to look thoroughly, push my cart, and not run into people! Overall I’ve never been to a more blah Goodwill in my entire life, and I’ve been to A LOT of Goodwills.

Good will prices has been going up. Their staff are not that great. Their black tags are regular prices higher than Walmart. For a person that is extremely cheapskate, I don't think would shop at Goodwill anymore. The only thing I like about it is their bathroom is cleaner than any other Goodwill here in town and not scary looking!

Awesome experience. I have issues with Goodwill in regards to their policies relating to employees; however, I needed to check something so I stopped in. The store was very clean and took a very proactive stance towards COVID-19 prevention and the employees were exceptionally friendly.

Found what I needed easily because it's all organized. Their credit card system was down so I had to pay cash but it was, obviously, a rare technical glitch and they were working hard to fix it. Everyone was super nice and helpful.

I was not allowed to try on one item 15 minutes prior to closing. Poor customer service. Employees seemed to be focused on closing on time but even though we were at register 5 minutes before closing sing we did not get out till 10 minutes after closing because they could not figure out the register.
