This is my local Dollar General. They just underwent a remodeling. The store is nicely set up. For the most part especially lately the employees have been very polite and helpful. A while back there were some employees that were not so polite but I haven’t seen those same people in quite some time,They extended the cold and frozen foods to line 2 walls instead of just one and a half. They seem to have more merchandise. They still have Christmas stuff on clearance.The store is relatively clean, but there are usually only two employees so I assume it’s not quite as easy to pick up things that people drop. Throughout the whole store. The only problem I saw on the floor was someone had knocked all the hangers down, and they hadn’t been picked up yet. Otherwise, the clerk was extremely politeOverall it was an excellent experience. By the way, another Dollar General opened just a couple of miles away at Yorktown and Waldron. Look for reviews on that. It seems to be a much larger store with a much greater selection, but surprisingly, there are no clerks. All machines are self-serve and they do not take EBT thus far and it been several months.

The manager takes advantage of her authority there! Yells in front of customers talks to customers ugly raises her voice to customers! Mind you it next to a high school and she does the same to the kids coming in and out of there. Refuses to give out corporate number when asked and mocks customers as she pleases.

This is the same salami I told them last week was rotten. It is discolored.... and they do add additives and food coloring however this batch is actually rotten I know from experience. They are always out of hair color. Seem to have a challenge ordering products. The store is filthy.

I really like Dollar General I personally call it the D G store it's fast they always have everything I'm looking for with great deals to boot employees are wonderful help kind for questions if needed my puppy also just loves the D G.

I got a lot of really nice odds & ends that I needed. Whenever you move to a new place you never realize all if the little things you need. Especially when you are going through a divorce & all of your things were "packed" by a disgruntled ex- husband. It was very quiet, not busy at all, right after they I opened in the morning. They opened early @ 8am.

Usually has decent prices & it's nice to have a discount store with that much variety close to my home, but I regularly have to monitor my receipts, because they almost always over charge me. It seems like without fail, every single time I'm in there, multiple items ring up, not at their "on sale", or advertised, or "red dot" prices, but at full price. I have also, after shopping there, been reviewing my receipt to find that I've been charged for multiple items I didn't buy, including children's items, & I have no children. I used to spend at least $200 per month in there but I have seriously cut back my spending there to maybe $20 per month because of this issue.

They have remodeled the one that I shop at on Holly near Airline. It took me awhile to get use to it but now it is better then before. The employees are always polite and helpful. The manager is always there and willing to help no matter how busy she is. There are a lot of different locations but this one is my favorite.

Im always going to the DG and have no issues. The employees are helpful and kind as much as they can be. Today; however, it was a bit crowded with a lot of customers and big racks that had products on them that needed to be put on shelves were in the way. If I were the manager of the store, I would try to make sure that those big carts are returned to the back stock room before the rush.

This store is great. They have a lot of prices that are better than HEB or Wal-Mart & it's small so it's easier to get checked out. No fresh foods but they do have a decent frozen section with a pretty good variety. They have foods, beverages, beer & wine, hygiene & personal care items, cosmetics, pet foods & toys, etc., automotive products, household & paper goods, stationery & party supplies.

In a pinch. This was an in-and-out-first-time-time kind of a visit. The bad: merchandise was really messy, very crowded isles, very small building. FIVE STARS: Super courteous clerk, well marked spaces for social distancing during check out and although very poor in choices, I found what I needed in a pinch. Grateful they were opened.

Most of the time a great place especially since it's not far from where I live at in walking distance but there machines need a lot of work have had problems several times using a credit card where it declines it even though know there Money there to cover it it's not the first time it has happened I hear it has happen to some other people too they and I know it's their machine and system that's the problem because everywhere else that I go to shop it has no problem taking the card and goes through no problem

Very dirty locstion, but horrible staff. The staff take personal call while dealing with customers, and just yell across the store. Very unprofessional. And now with the change shortage they are shorting every cash customer. Obviously they need to make better arrangements then taking money from people.

I’m a couponer. I’ve come to this location SEVERAL times and couponed. This past Saturday I went for a trip, they said customers can’t use digital coupons and paper coupons in the same transaction.. um.. what? I’ve done it so many times. It even states in their coupon policy they allow it. So I just cancelled my transaction. Then I had another transaction and none of my digital coupons were coming off so I cancelled that one. The cashier got the rudest attitude with me so I will not be going to that location again. When I left I called the other dollar generals and asked “do you accept digital coupons and paper coupons in the same transaction?” And all of them said yes. I used to love couponing in the bluff because the employees WERE nice and patient with me but not anymore. I’m waiting until Monday to call corporate and complain about that employee.

The staff here are very nice and well mannered. It is the one of the only stores I go to here in the bluff. Even when it's crazy busy they are still patient and friendly.

Me and my family wen to this store on 10/3 around 9:30pm, we were trying to look for this toy that my son saw at another Dollar General and the employee by the name of Eric searched through the whole store and even opened some new boxes just to find the toy. He really went above and beyond just for my boy to get this toy. I felt this needed to be heard because there is not a lot of customer service like this anymore.

Usually go to the Dollar General on the island, but happened to need something quick while in FB. This store in Flour Bluff was understocked and messy! Merchandise scattered all over. However, staff was friendly.

My absolute favorite dollar Dollar general. The employees are incredibly nice and helpful. Very convenient, decent prices, I come here nearly every day and i will continue to do so.

They have a great staff that is always friendly and smiles. It’s a very busy store at times but the staff works very hard to get you through the line no matter how long the line is.......friendly neighborhood store 😊😊😊.

Don't use dollar General in flour bluff. Two nights ago I paid 20 bucks cash and then the a dollar something on my card. The card swipe said it was going to charge the full amount and when I told the lady she said "no it's ok it always displays full amount but it will only take out the dollar something". I just checked my bank account and turns out she lied. It took the entire payment of 21 something and she got to pocket my cash. I am furious right now and I just know she will get away with it. That employee needs to be let go....I will never go there again. Shame on thieves who take money from their customers.

I have a friend who lived here for 5 years. because his trailer was old and affected by hurricane and winds he was taken to court and asked to move. my friend is blind and has home health care on a daily basis. not only that he is sick with cancer and this situation has been very hard on him. the actions of this rv park on top of hurricane harvey has left him displaced. it is going to be ok for him but warning these people dont want blue collar people they want the people with mansion motorhomes

Ok store. Carry a lot and I mean a lot of things and some aren't at other stores. Prices are 👌 and a lot cheaper than you think. I really like the variety of products.
