Jessica Simpson, the General Manager, spent over 3 hours with me, walking me through every step of the process for getting a new puppy; making sure I not only had everything on my list, but she also educated me on how to use the items to raise our new pup more effectively. She offered her knowledge, her kindness and her empathy at a time I needed it the most....emotions were still high after losing our last dog just 5 months prior. She gave me names of reputable vets in our area, introduced me to her groomers and dog trainers and answered every question I had. Not only did I buy almost everything on my list, I signed up for the training class and plan to get my dog groomed at Petco as well.I have worked for Disney and as a leader in 5 star hotels for over 15 years, and I’ve found that it’s rare to see that kind of dedication to customer service. It was obvious Jessica was proud to work for such a wonderful company. I had a great experience everytime. The staff is very friendly and answered all my questions very patiently.Lizzie is very knowledgeable and helpful in picking up my pet fish and supplies.The store had everything I needed to start my first fish tank.

Great service, fish tanks are always very clean. They have very good supplies of things I need for my fishes. Shannon is awsome! Great help and very knowledgeable about the fishes. Answers all my questions. Great job!

Always have the cat and dog supplies I need. Very friendly and helpful staff. A tad more expensive than competitors but the manageable size of the store, convenient parking, grooming services, and inventory is worth it. Seasonal items on sale are a great bonus.

This review is for the grooming specifically. I feel compelled to share my experience and still am shaken as to what I witnessed. I brought my medium sized Goldendoodle 14 month old female for a full groom. Yes, of course she’s a good girl and I know I’m biased (but she’s a sweet Goldendoodle, come on!). After about 4 hours, I returned to check on progress and saw it was only my dog on the table completing her trim through the windows. The groomer was visibly annoyed at my dog, was rough and rushing. The groomer was yanking my dog around, thrusting her muzzle back and forth, at one point yanked and pulled her up by only her tail (she’s 45 lbs!) and appeared to be incredibly heavy handed with the flat brush. I can’t imagine the things being said to my dog behind the windows and underneath the mask with the groomer looking so agitated. My dog already is in two point restraints and not at all fighting being groomed. Being gentle and patient with my pet was something I absolutely did not witness. My mouth was on the floor. I cut the groom short as I could not tolerate what I was seeing. Surely, if I don’t handle my dog that way, no one else certainly will. My dog has been getting groomed monthly and I have never witnessed the behavior I saw yesterday. This is one person’s behavior (Lauryn) but I worry that other employees there behave the same way with pets or condone that treatment. No apology or explanation was given in the end and no report of my dog not cooperating was given to me as well. I won’t be returning as a client or recommending as I don’t think this is acceptable or appropriate behavior. Can’t comment in fairness on the quality or skill level of the groom but let’s just say, it wasn’t on its way to being impressive.

Poor Business - required unwritten grooming rules and would not groom our dog for a scheduled appt.It takes nearly two weeks to schedule an appt. to get a dog trimmed. We scheduled an appt., followed the prescribed rules bringing rabies vaccination status. I have have an older dog that requires minor form of relaxation at a weak strength. I mentioned this to the groomer b/c my dog was scared and the groomer DENIED service and returned the dog saying that this was PetCo policy to not groom a dog that was on even a mild sedative. We called in the manager, Andy, and he could provide NO documentation online, on paper or anywhere else. This approach is recommended by our vet for grooming, nail trimming, etc. b/c it is an older dog and easily frightened. This is also not our first time at this PetCo. We have brought our dog here multiple times before and this has not been an issue. In addition, we returned home and called 2 other groomers and asked what to do for a nervous dog and our solution is what they recommended. PetCo, this devalues the time it takes me to schedule, plan, and bring my dog to your store as well as puts us in a real pinch as we have to wait another 2 weeks to get in anywhere. This is poor business practices and poor customer service.

I take my pup in for a monthly nail trim and buffing. The grooming staff here has always kind and patient with her. As for the store I do wish there was a wider dog toy selection. This petco is a quarter the size to others.

Super nice employee. I think her name was Ace? Not sure. She was outstandingly helpful. We generally shop at the other pet store, but I'll check if Petco sells my pet's food. Nice area, clean store, total wow employee. Thanks!

I had asked for a teddy bear cut for his face (which is what I tell all groomers) and had specifically requested not to chop off his lashes.4.5 hours later, he comes out looking like this. The face is uneven, top of head looks randomly chopped off, lashes chopped off, top of tail looks weird. It’s fur and it will grow back- my issue is with absolute lack of accountability- I was looking at his tail and the girl says he had thistle in there. Of course he did- I had told them that he came straight from the dog park! Over $100 for this!!!Last time he had Emily and we were very happy with the experience. This was Lauryn.

We were turned away for a scheduled appointment to get our dog groomed because we got her annual vaccines earlier that same day. Her shots were done at 7am and her appointment for grooming was at 2:45pm. As a dog owner if I felt like she would have not been safe or she couldn’t have handled it because of the stress/anxiety I wouldn’t have booked both on the same day. Nowhere on the website or in the location does it say vaccines cannot be done on the same day for scheduling. The front desk lady was putting the blame on us as dog owners and said that it doesn’t say it on website but we should’ve called. I’m like ma’am don’t even try that, I did not entertain her and she rescheduled her appointment for next Saturday. As I thought about her service and how we were treated me and my husband decided to take our business elsewhere.Since they failed to let us know their policy I will disclose it on here **YOUR PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GET GROOMED AND THEIR ANNUAL VACCINES ON THE SAME DAY**

I took my 10-month old goldendoodle to them for grooming and he came back looking like a completely different dog. We specifically asked the groomers to leave his hair long and natural-looking and they shaved it all off completely and left only his ears and tail untouched. Even then, the hair is patchy in many areas and you can see his bare skin in some places. They also clipped my dog's nails too short and he was bleeding for a week on-and-off after we picked him up from the grooming place. You could see the skin where they cut it too short. They are also extremely overpriced for the quality of their service. They charged me $90 just to shave all the hair off of my dog. I am extremely dissapointed in the quality of their service, and I will not be taking my dog there ever again.

Horrible employee with the long beard and tattoos! This Absolutely disgusting employee told me and my sister to just neuter our dog to better handle his puppy issues and to stop treating our dog the way we do, When he knows nothing about our dog. We treat our pets with care and try to train them as much as possible and when We( my younger sister and i)came in for a collar of our choice he immediately criticized our choice and told us not to put any collar or harness on our dog. This is a business, we did not come in an opinion and for him to lecture us. He went on for at least 8-10 minutes scolding us and giving us his opinions. What kind of business hires employees like this? We are not paying for a man to criticize us, we just needed a temporary collar for a dog who just ripped his!

I really like this store! Staff is very friendly and will offer suggestions. I have a diabetic cat and I'll be in there for an hour with my carb calculator...they just check on me. I would recommend a visit here !

This Petco is the best. Everyone is very friendly, the management is great, and I have never had a problem. I love that you are able to price match from Petco's online store too! Originally our check out was being delayed by a customer escalation over the return policy. The manager, Will, was being extremely polite and offered all forms of assistance including in-store credit, but obviously could not overrule the company standard 60 day return policy. The lady was really rude and threatened an awful review even though her receipt was over a year old. I’m writing this to offset any kind of bad review he might get. Great job, Will!

Puppy training seekers: pass on this one. The trainer seems to be a sweet lady but there was hardly any training happening. Half of our hour session she spent chatting and pressuring us to sign up for whatever deals they were offering next month. Every week I had to explain what he already knew because she didn't remember or bother to take any notes. AND we were the only ones in the class! Granted, we were doing a lot of training at home. Our dog could already do all of the skills on Level 1 (sit, stay, down, rollover, etc.) Maybe she specializes in remedial training. We don't know. But we were expecting better.If you have the time, save your money and watch YouTube dog training videos and read books to learn basics.

Excellent place to get pet supplies. I have also received expert advice on aquarium maintenance. The staff is always friendly and helpful. On the few occasions that they don't carry items they are quick to suggest places to find it. They really totally ROK!

If I could rate them a negative 15 I would. The staff is rude and very unfamiliar with proper animal care and, do not know how to sex their animals properly. They have caused my niece nothing but pain and suffering for the past 2 months.

This store is mostly catered to dogs, but if you need to run in and grab something quick for cats or other animals you will have smaller selections of the normal brands in Petco. To store was clean and the associates friendly. Parking is shared with the other stores in the strip, so it is dependent on hours.

They would not let me see my dogs before tipping them after groomed. They injured my smaller dog, when they clipped his nails they clipped them way too far when I brought him home he was still bleeding. When I got them in the car all I can smell is wet dog they did not bathe him as well as they have before. I have made several attempts to get ahold of them and still nothing has been done.

I was disappointed that after taking me Standard Poodle to Petco for 7 years (and spent a lot of money there), they told me they can no longer groom him because at 14, he has a hip problem and can’t stand for long periods. I offered to pay more and suggested they lay him on his side when cutting his hair but they refused,

Love this location! the associates are super helpful and knowledgeable about cat stuff. Some pet supply stores like the Hollywood Feed in Coppell treat cats as an afterthought. Thanks for doing better!
