Customer service is literally being paid to be kind and helpful to your customers, especially in a retail environment.Robert the manager will tell you to leave his store if you dare ask for a dry cart, unless you're a male then it's all good fun. Someone who believes that is the way to treat patrons should not be in a position with no repercussions.Very rude and thinks it's funny, I see why I've been told that store sucks."Sorry about that, there's some paper towels in the restroom you can use to dry that off," would have been an appropriate response from a manager, not yelling at an elderly woman for asking a question.Update: Too busy eating and joking with coworkers to ring up a customer, still rude.

I love dollar general! Coupons in the app, u can usually see inventory in the app, call to make sure tho.

Very nice and energetic emplyees. Always there if you nee help finding something. The store is always so clean and you can actually walk down the aisles with your cart and not have to worry about running into inventory that hasn't been stocked on the shelves yet.

Watch out for credit card fraud in that store. Especially when their machine apparently is having problems. I notice it always with one certain employee. But when I tried using my card and their machine was acting up I was getting fraud alerts on my cell. As if someone was trying to withdraw over my $200 limit. No telling what they're doing on their monitor across from us. I showed her my text alerts and she was very nervous. But I notice there are always card machine problems when she works. I don't always use my card but that day I did. Red 🚩 for sure. I've seen other customers have problems with the machine not working for some reason but only when she works. Used the machine several other times when she isn't there and I never had problems or seen anyone else have problems when she isn't there. I'm very observant. Wasn't right. Also, I had a similar experience with Betty about discounted items but I got my discount. Yes she can be rude at times.

Love going to this dollar general! The store is well kept and very clean, and the staff and manager are all very helpful and respectful to all MALE and FEMALE customers! They are very patient and helpful with all their customers especially when they are blessed with the presence of a very rude, dishonest, disrespectful customer that yells at them for things they can't control😊

Always friendly staff, clean store, and have the basics in stock for my needs so I do not have to drive all the way to the big city for just a few items. And like I said, the staff are wonderful to talk with.

I shop at DG a lot. I was going to purchase a purple cooler bag that was on mark down table the sign said 50% off. The checker named Betty told me they weren't on sale so I put it back. A family member of hers walks in and gets the same cooler bag I had so I walk to checkout to observe and Betty keyed in the half price for the girl. I told Betty that was the same bag I was going to purchase Betty was rude and I told her I was going to turn her in. It is dishonest to key in a certain price for a family member or friend.That is cheating DG and this same thing I have witnessed in this store in Cookville Texas.

I wish this dollar store was closer to me. It's Definitely the first time I walked into a public place and thought it was the Best Kept Public Place EVER... Super Clean, Spacious isles (no big blue carts, cluttered), well stocked and faced. Endcaps Were On Point. Love me sum endcap action,lol. The flow of patrons and communication from the employees. WOW. IMPRESSED Me, thought those times of actual human compassion and Respect For Peeeoplllllllle. Thanks yawl, 5stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was actually on a really long walk from Omaha to Cookville (I really like to walk), and the Dollar General's low prices and fast and friendly service got me quickly refreshed with electrolyte and hydrate heavy beverages and a ready skip in my step for the walk back. An energizing experience and a definite go to when filling up on gas and getting cleaning supplies in one fell swoop, too! Perfectly positioned next to an Exxon.

Pretty good selection of stuff. Even had spray paint. It's nice to have a store in Cookville that might not close down every six months like the gas station next door.

Love going here over other locations, the employees are very friendly and helpful including the manager Robert who I might add treats ALL his customers with both kindness and respect even after he's been yelled at and treated poorly himself!

Sign on door at 7:00pm 06/05/22 stating “sorry we are closing early dated 06/03”. They obviously are using this sign nightly to close earlier.

This is the nastiest Dollar General of the whole chain. One cashier checking with 14+ people in line while the other employee sits in the office. Avoid this store this store if at all possible.

Every time I go in this place they always have expired food on the counters in the grocery area always there has been a single time I've gone in there and found expired milk outdated bread stale Donuts an expired cans of food places run like a donated food pantry
