Outstanding!Don't buy from the pet store! A breeder like this is worth her weight in gold. She cared for and tamed my baby cockatiels to healthy perfection. She really knows birds! I come from a bird background (my father was a breeder) and I know she is the best. She gave me a fair price on two gorgeous and healthy cockatiels, was willing to meet me anywhere in the local area, and was incredibly friendly and non-pushy. I had a fantastic experience - if you want a quality bird, look no further!

This would be my second baby I brought home, I bought a sun conure back around 2020. and now a gorgeous cockatiel. I've been through other breeders but they don't display half the care, and knowledge. parakeet world pet shop goes the extra mile for there animals! The service is amazing, I’m glad I came and I brought my baby parakeet’s from this place. She’s really sweet and helpful. I would recommend buying birds from her. She brought be a beautiful and cuddly little quaker and let me do a meet and greet with the bird first.Don’t accidentally drive to the post office, I made that mistake but she was quick to help me set up an appointment.My little boy took the night to adjust and now he is playing and talking outside of his cage.

I got two parakeets from this place after buying from pet shops my whole life, and it was really a game changer for me! My birds are very playful, curious, and get along well with my other parakeet. They're quality birds and even cheaper than the ones at PetSmart. If you're considering getting a bird, definitely go here before any pet store. (Preferably don't get a bird from the pet store in the first place, but I digress.) The owner was very nice and gave us advice on what not to keep around the birds and how to handle them. It was a great experience, and I'm very happy with my birds.

I was so excited to find this breeder in San Antonio who has hand raised parakeets. Rina gave great customer service and advice for us, and the budgie babies reflected the wonderful care she gave them. She was very kind to text important information and she even delivered them to our home. We’ve wanted a couple parakeets for a while, but I prefer to buy from a breeder. I was ecstatic when I found Rina from Parakeet World! She provides excellent customer service, beautiful birds, and education regarding how to read a bird’s temperament. All you have to do is explain the type of bird you want, and she will bring you a cage full so that you can pick your budgie! I highly recommend her if you are looking to having a bird as a pet!

THIS LADY/OWNER HAS A SERIOUS ATTITUDE PROBLEM. Upon calling to ask the location of her shop (because Google Maps places her business in the back gated area of the post office), she answered the phone with a VERY annoyed and aggressive tone, "HELLO!" I called the shop's number listed on Google Maps and how she answered made me think I had the wrong number. After confirming with her that I indeed called "Parakeet World," I asked where her shop was located. Still through her harsh tone, she informed me her farm is located at home and something about a gas station(??). I couldn't understand everything she said so I asked that she repeat herself because how her voice sounded on my end was that she had her mouth too close to her phone so she sounded muffled). She repeated herself again and she sounded even more irritated! I dare say she sounded much like she was speaking to me through gritted teeth as she slowly repeated all she said (with noticeable spacing between each word in her sentences). I let her finish (I still couldn't understand all what she said), so I just said, "okay, thank you," and she hung up the without saying anything else. And, no, our call was not "dropped." Needless to say, I did not pay her a visit wherever the heck she said she was and don't ever plan to.1.) In rebuttal to your response, there IS a difference between in the way your voice sounds like in a neutral/natural/RESPECTFUL state versus how you chose to speak to me in a hot-tempered tone over the phone.2.) My review is based on your conduct, tone, and how you treated/spoke to me during our conversation. How did "I act like I don't understand"? I wasn't "acting" like anything. This is the reason why I asked you what you said once again. I still couldn't understand what was being said after the second time, hence why I just said, "okay, thank you" and dropped it. There were a few seconds of silence after my response and then YOU blatantly hung up without saying anything. There was no you asking me if there was anything I needed at all! All I called you for was to get clarification on your listed business address and you came at me sideways with a total lack of respect and unprofessionalism. Your TONE was absurdly hostile and moreso along the lines of, "WHAT DO YOU WANT AND WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME??"2.) There wasn't a third round of you repeating yourself during our conversation over the phone. Our conversation went exactly how I typed it out. To reiterate, your tone (NOT YOUR VOICE), but YOUR TONE WAS REALLY NASTY and I was not going to ask you a third time to repeat yourself. You were very unpleasant, disrespectful, and I was not going to further waste my time speaking to you about visiting your place of business.3.) Your web page/site does not have "instructions". You have a business address, a contact phone number, and your business hours only listed. There's nothing on your simple website or Google Maps that mentions anything about setting up an appointment with you first before planning a visit either and this is where my call to you came in.4.) Lastly, I do not appreciate you calling my phone because you don't have a reason to. You called me three times in a row yesterday evening. Then, you left me a voicemail after the third call that, "... I go over there and turn around and put the thing on the review... so please remove that review because you're not my customer to do those things." I didn't "turn around and do" anything. I don't know you and I don't have a motive to write a negative review (specifically about you) "just because." THIS REVIEW IS 100% TRUTHFUL, SO NO, I'M NOT REMOVING IT.Had you had a civilness over the phone whilst speaking to me (and I still couldn't understand you for the same reasons I've already gone over), there would be no need for me to leave a negative review (or any review)... whatsoever! I would have chalked up our conversation to a simple misunderstanding and that would have been that. Stop pointing fingers, take accountability, and tell the story in the order of events and facts that happened.

I gave them a call on Saturday because my cockatiel was acting lethargic definitely wasn’t well. I was seeing if they knew of an avian vet in the area. I spoke with a wonderful woman named Yvette she didn’t know of one nearby but she asked what was going on, I told her all of his symptoms and she suggested I do some simple things here at home and omg it worked! I really believe this woman saved my baby’s life. Wonderful and warm hearted and very knowledgeable. Thank you again Yvette♥️

We feel so fortunate to have found Rena when we were looking for a hand-fed cockatiel.She spent time teaching my daughter to handle the young bird and made sure that we were completely comfortable with him.
