This place is BEAUTIFUL, the grounds are immaculate, they have swings, chairs, hammocks throughout the park for you to just gaze at the beauty surrounding you. The river is clear, so so clear you can see the fish staring back at you… The tress are HUGE!!BUT honestly the Customer Service was the BEST I have ever encountered. Michelle was AMAZING, so kind and very considerate of our needs, the whole staff was kind and attentive, but Michelle will always be the reason we came here, she took the time to answer all my questions, and I had plenty. And her kindness will always be remembered.Already planning our next trip.Perla and Jon Merritt

Everything about Riverbend is truly a 5-star experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, the location is beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable and have pretty much everything you need. Me and my friends had a wonderful time. I will definitely be coming back again soon!Walkability: The campground is very walkable. The farthest cabin is only about a 5 minute walk to the river.

Beautiful campground! The sites are well spaced out, the gift shop is adorable, the trees provide a ton of shade and there’s WiFi at each site. Not to mention you can walk right down to the river for a dip. I’d stay here again for sure

We stopped by their location, yesterday 4/8/24 to watch the Solar Eclipse. The crew at the Riverbend On the Frio were amazing! They were friendly, they had 10.00 pullled Pork sandwiches and Sausage, with chips. Sandwiches were really tasty. They had complimentary drinks, water, and beer and Solar Viewing Glasses. Really enjoyed ourselves there with them.Leti, Rich, Lando

Beautiful family park! We love coming here and have been as a family for almost 60 years. Last week was our first time back since the switch was made to RV only (we are tent campers), and I must say the new owners and the renovations are fantastic! We got super fast and professional replies to emails, the staff is SO friendly, helpful, and responsive. We especially enjoyed Lucille, she was particularly friendly. The restroom renovations are so great, plenty of privacy in the showers and space to bathe without being cramped. The grounds are kept really well with daily trash pickup and staff patrols. Campsites are plenty roomy with space to spread out without feeling cramped. There is a sand volleyball court and even activities for kids (scavenger hunt, paper mache crafting). My ONLY suggestions is a patrol around 10:30 PM because we did have some issues with after-hours noise and I do think the staff should address that without fellow guests having to, but there is an after-hours number for that use if need be (although response was a bit slow). Overall can't wait to continue to camp during the off-season, really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning soon.

We booked this place for the annular eclipse. We loved our stay in site 5 in the campground. The river was awesome the campground store was stocked with lots of useful items. The people in the store were incredibly friendly. I would recommend this campground to anyone for some relaxing by the river. It was an amazing property and easy to get to. Thanks so much for a great weekend.

Love this campsite, we went this year for the annular eclipse and had a great time! We saw the full annular eclipse as the sky’s eerily darkened. We have been going to Riverbend on the Frio since 1994 usually at Easter. The campsite used to allow tent camping now it is mostly RV’s unless it is low season. The new management have made significant improvements most noticeably to the bathhouse, and the water and electric hookups.It is a beautiful riverside campsite and the spring fed Frio was low but running after a record hot summer the water clear and beautiful. Such a lovely place, friendly and helpful staff 5 out of 5 stars!Linda Soja.

This is our favorite place in Texas. It is a beautiful place with great river access. It’s the only place on the frio were you can camp right on the river. We have been going every year for 15 years with our kids and we will be going for the rest of our lives. I can’t say how much I appreciate the owners and management for how well they treat their guests and how much they do to ensure we have a peaceful relaxing trip every year. Riverbend is the best!!Nearby activities: North to south there are great restaurants and fun at public parks.Safety: This place has the best interests of its guest in hand. IT’s neighbors allow for all kinds of craziness but riverbend goes above and beyond to ensure it’s guest are safe and their stay is peaceful and relaxing.Walkability: The property is one of a kind with great river access and very accessible.

I've been camping here with my family all my life. The campground changed owners in the past few years, and the changes they are making have been amazing without being overwhelming for those campers who loved the "almost" off the grid experience. The campground and bathrooms are neat and clean, the RV spots are spacious and have multiple options for amperage on different trailers. The place also still has a family feel to it. I can let my 8 year old wander the campground and the river area knowing that he is safe from verbal and physical harm.The staff has also been polite, understanding, accommodating, flexible, and helpful.Safety: All 3 of my children are allowed to be free-range kids here. They ride their bikes, meet new friends (and old ones they've seen every year), and people are genuinely kind. All of the campers respect the camping spaces of others, and personal items can be left out without concern of theft.Walkability: You can walk to the river from any RV, cabin, or hotel spot. Golf carts are available for rent too.

We had the best time and the location on the Frio River is so beautiful and perfect for swimming, relaxing and enjoying nature. We rented the RV they offer now and it was awesome! Everything in the RV was spotless, really nice, comfortable and spacious for our family of 3 and our Boston Terrier. Linda and Chris, the RV owners, were very helpful and friendly during our entire stay. Linda was happy to help us if needed. We thoroughly enjoyed renting the RV and spot #5 was the best site in the park. Shannon was very helpful and friendly in getting us all set up for the new RV rental and the process was easy. Michelle answered my many questions and she was SO sweet, has a great personality, always happy to help and wonderful to work with. Thomas was very nice and helpful during our stay as well and offered us some great dining options in the area. We had the best time! The river access on the property was beautiful, the water was crystal clear, cool and refreshing on a hot day. We would highly recommend Riverbend on the Frio and we will be back! My only recommendation would be to offer one pet friendly cabin for us loyal pet owners. I saw many well behaved dogs during our stay and their owners mentioned the same thing. We would love to come back and rent a cabin in the future that would be pet friendly. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff for an amazing stay! We can't wait to see you again!

We had a wonderful time this year with the 50/30/20 amp service for our 5th wheel trailer in the Pecan Bottom area. Cool mornings/evenings and mild afternoons with the mostly overcast skys during the day. Some periodic rains made some soggy areas but they dried up fairly quickly. Love the interaction with the owners & staff. Made our annual vacation there very pleasant. Looking forward to staying even longer next year.

I cannot recommend this location at all!!! While on a family vacation, the owner/staff were confrontational, rude and threatening. We were physically in the middle of the river and staff took it upon themselves to ask us to not stop our float, and to not sit still in that water space. As if this wasn’t threatening enough, a man, not in our family group, was assaulted with a shot to the face with pepper spray because he was in the river too close to the water’s edge. This is the second time in three days that law enforcement has been called to this site. This doesn’t seem safe or acceptable as a vacation site.

Just experienced a wonderful three-day weekend at Riverbend on the Frio. Grounds are well-maintained, the friendly staff is super helpful, and the river is paradise on Earth. My crew loved playing disc golf over and over, though I would recommend insect repellent if you're planning on chasing an errant disc into the bushes(!). We stayed in one of the cabins right behind the well-stocked store and front office. Proximity to the highway could not be helped, but the view of the rolling hills and pond in the mornings was always welcome. Amenities were basic but clean. With Garner just five minutes away, there's never a shortage of things to do. We will most DEFINITELY be back. Thanks to Wes and all his crew for their hard work and dedication to put some real shine on this gem!

The owner of this RV park ruined my frio experience completely. He sprayed pepper spray and punched a man that was staying at criders. Me and my family felt so uncomfortable and scared from that moment on. We didn’t even want to go back down to the river again. For your safety, would NOT recommend staying here.Safety: NOT SAFE AT ALL!

Great, friendly staff! Well-stocked store. River is beautiful for floating or fishing. Activities for kids for Easter. Playground, pond. Water and electric only, but onsite dump station and dump services available. Good wifi. Sites are not paved, not a problem in dry weather but could be slippery when wet. Good family place!

Overall, an excellent place to stay. Fantastic access to the river! Unfortunately, the electricity on the hill sites was not good. We were originally put at C, but the electric didn't work so we were moved to E. Even there, I had to really wiggle the cord to.make the electricity work. So, the cap on the sewage was so tight I had to go buy a wrench myself to loosen it since a maintenance person wasn't available. The restrooms could also use an upgrade. However, with the prettiest spot on the river with plenty of room to sit and cool off, we really enjoyed our visit. We loved the privacy of the hill as well.
