On our way to Garner State Park we were so happy to find this beautiful Concan General Store, with souvenirs, gear for wading through water, hats, t-shirts, backpacks, snacks, grocery items and coolers with water, drinks, cold sandwiches. They also had fried chicken, pizzas and the most amazing hamburger I've tasted in a long time! Yum! There is also a Shamrock gas station attached to the front of store. Very happy we enjoyed this visit with very friendly, caring staff. We will be back (we have a new annual pass to Garner State Park)!! Thank you.

Since the new owners took over in 2021/2022 it's nothing but HIGHWAY ROBBERY! $9+ for a pint of ice cream..never again!!??? The owners are from Uvalde...that's the worse part!

NO PRICES listed on anything. This must be the norm, as the Leaky Mercantile also does not have prices for items on their shelves. A lot of the food is close to expired or spoiled at the Leaky Mercantile.The Concan general store on a positive side does have a large selection of products and the store is clean. I had a catfish plate and it was good.

Customer service was great! Just if you are traveling buy everything at a store before getting to Concan is really expensive here! We paid $50.00 for a chocolate bar and marshmallow and small box of honey crackers!

There is good selection of necessities for camping or weekend trip. The cashier was very friendly and the fried chicken is a close second behind"mom's chicken". Seriously the chicken meal was outstanding.

I would give them zero stars if I could. This is the closest store to us and my husband and I frequently do business there. The women who work there are incredibly rude. If they treat locals that way how do you think they treat tourists? Do yourself a favor and stop in Uvalde, Leakey, or Sabinal on your way in. There are plenty of other places in Concan to get Frio gear.

My boyfriend and I were driving in from West Texas, (Big Bend Ranch State Park) and we needed a few things on our way to Garner State Park and google told me this place closed at 9. Come to find out they were already closed at 7PM on a Thursday! Why be a general store if you aren’t even open until at least 9 PM! Needless to say, the next town down, Leakey, TX took care of us.

I would advise you shop else where, this place will price gouge you, $12.00 for a gallon of ice cream,over 6 for a quart of milk, go to Neal's grocery instead

Would give no stars if I could. Only store open for miles and they closed early. Was in there earlier today and the lady that worked the counter was very rude. Stopped helping me to help someone else out. I will never come to this place again or the Frio for that matter. All the workers around here are very rude. My misteak for thinking this would be a good place for my family to have a vacation.

This place needs to get more friendly and courteous people working there, specially when they know Concan is an enjoyable place for camping and rv-ing. Was totally ignored by one of the employees while I waited to purchase food, after passing me up several times a customer pointed out to her that I was next, she asked him if she could help him instead so I laid all the stuff I had in my hands and said “are you serious I’ve been waiting for a while and left! Rude rude rude!

Every time I go to Leakey I make the drive down to Concan just to get some food here. Great fish and chicken. VERY good biscuits.

I would put lower but can't. Watch when order food they will get wrong and over charge you . manager very rude about it. Instead fixing the problems. We'll not order food there or buy there again.

Love your place but came in to purchase a few items and the girl working the counter was extremely rude and put out by having to help us. This was on Thursday, 9-10-2020 at 6:20 p.m.
