We were told that each table could only have one check so we split up into 3 tables. One of the tables was treated very rudely and couldn't even get a drink order placed. They left. My table had already ordered so decided to stick it out. Bad decision, the chicken fried steak was terribly overcooked, the Mac and cheese was cold and the mashed potatoes were slimy. One person ordered a burger that was clearly a frozen patty thrown on a bun which definitely didn't justify its hefty price tag. The only edible meal at our table was grilled chicken breast and green beans. We told the waitress the food wasn't edible and asked for the check. The entire staff seemed oblivious that people were leaving without being served and others were leaving with all of the food still on their plates. It was quite sad and very disappointing. We paid our check in full and left hungry, disappointed and a little disgusted. Wouldn't go back if the food were free...

Last night was a blast, man. The tunes were sick, the booze was flowing, and the local vendors and food trucks were on point. It was a total rip-off to get slapped with a service fee for buying tickets online - it was practically like buying another ticket - so we just paid at the gate. And hey, let's be responsible and not drink and drive, but unfortunately, there weren't any cabs or Ubers around. Gotta plan ahead out here.

Dinner and concert! I would not come back to have dinner again. The waiter/waitress was great but the food wasn't. They ran out of items on the menu, the food wasn't cooked accordingly. In my opinion, if they are expecting a large crowd for a concert following dinner, they should be prepared in the kitchen. They were not!The concert area was out back, outside. It was hot! There was a slight breeze at times. It was a large area for a small concert. Limited seating but you can bring your own for the lawn area. There were a couple bars serving. Long lines but they moved quickly. There was a nice dance floor as well.

This is the absolute worse place you could ever eat. A whole fake eyelash was in my food. My kids cups were extremely dirty. We didn’t get silverware for 20 min our food was cold. Waitress are very rude! This place is too expensive to be treated so poorly by the employees.

I have been going there for the past 10 years at least with my family on the vacation and all the years we would look forward to having a nice steak dinner and great times. This year the menu consisted of a very limited small buffet (meat,2 veggies and salad that we had to ask for dressing) for $20 or a choice of a brief bar menu that was mostly appetizers. The menu was slim and did not offer the food that we brag about and look forward to eating every year we come on vacation. To say the least we were disappointed!!!

This is they place to be in the summer nights when a band is playing. Its an outdoor venue and offers enjoyment for folks of all ages. With limited picnic table seating dont forget to bring a your chair and the earlier you get the better spot you can get on the lawn area. P.s. this is a restaurant as well and they say the once a week steak night is worthwhile.

Despite some negative reviews, we thought the ribeye and chicken fried steaks were very good.The atmosphere and entertainment were very pleasing as well.Gary P Nunn was awsome and played solid without taking a break.Going back tonight to see the Spazmatics.This is also the same place to come for an awesome helicopter ride by Holt Helicopters.

We've been coming to the Frio River every year for 10 years. We discovered this place about 6 years ago and have turned on other people in our RV park to what USED to be a good restaurant. After our experience last night, we will NEVER go back. First of all we were disappointed in the new, very condensed menu. Every year that Ive been coming here, I've had a steak because it is after all a steak house. The new menu only offers a chicken fried steak or a 14 oz Ribeye for $35. Everything else is $15 or less (except the Buffett special for $20). They used to have a wine menu and sold wine by the glass or the bottle. I was willing to order the bottle but they didn't have a Merlot. The tea tasted old so I had water.I have several food limitations due to allergies, gluten & mushrooms being my biggest. Everything except the steak and the chicken breast was either a sandwich or bathered and fried. I ordered the chicken breast which came with mushrooms & Swiss cheese, so I of course ordered mine without the mushrooms and told the waitress that I was allergic to the mushrooms. My nephew also ordered the chicken 'as is'. My husband ordered the Buffett & my son ordered the burger, oh and I added a side salad for $3 extra.I ate most of my small chicken breast (which tasted good) but 3/4 of the way through it, I knew that I had encountered a mushroom. I immediately became ill and had to excuse myself to the bathroom. When my husband informed the waitress of what happened, she sent the owner out. My husband felt that we shouldn't have to pay for the chicken dinner because they screwed it up. The owner got an attitude and accused my husband of trying to get a 'free chicken dinner' because 'there's no way that their kitchen could cross contaminate the food'. Meanwhile I'm now outside throwing up. Her husband said just to take the chicken off the bill and be done with it. My husband was pissed off and paid the whole $82 bill. Poor waitress though didn't get a tip. He said that they could give her the $14 that he paid for the chicken. She was a good waitress but don't know if it was her screw up or the kitchens screw up.

Good food, great staff, massive dancefloor, cold beer, tons of parking, excellent bands, helicopter tours, gorgeous scenery and a cool vibe overall! The topography and trees make you think you're in the Northeast part of the U.S. Don't miss it!!

If I could leave no stars I would! The service was even terrible! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!
