We have been staying at Crider’s for about 8 years now and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. The staff is great. The cabins are very clean and spacious. And the location! Our cabin was a few steps away from the beautiful Frio River and magnificent cypress trees. Such a beautiful place. Can’t wait to stay again!Rooms: Very clean and spacious!Nearby activities: Great location! Very close to Leaky and Concan for shopping!

Very disappointed with our stay. I do not recommend staying at these cabins and most definitely will NOT go back. Very poorly stocked. Cooking supplies are minimal at best. Take everything you need for meal prep if you plan to cook. Our Cabin was filthy, it had hair in the shower from previous guest. The floors were filthy you couldn't walk barefooted on them or your feet would be black. We had a spill in the kitchen and when we wiped it up the towel was covered in black grime from previous stayers. I don't think the floor had been mopped in years. The broom that was in the cabin was covered in hair and yuck. The toilet smelled strongly of old urine and was not clean. Take your own sheets, blankets, pillows, bedcoverings as they provide none. Beds are hard and uncomfortable. They charge you $190.00 to clean but they do not have a cleaning team that comes in behind you to clean. They expect the previous stayers to clean it and leave it clean for the next guest. They do not come by and pick up your trash everyday anymore. They charge extra for every little thing including trash pickup and vehicles. It's just gross. My family has gone to Criders for years, We used to sit on the riverbank and watch the floaters go by and we could get up and down in the river conveniently from just about any spot along the riverbank. That's not possible anymore because they don't weed eat near the river bank and its all overgrown now. You have to crawl through the weeds to get into the river or use the steep stairs. You can't sit on the riverbank and just watch the people floating by anymore either, the weeds are too high and the bugs are bad. Just very disappointing to see what used to be a wonderful place to stay so poorly maintained in everyway...lawns, cabins, supplies. While we were there we found other cabins to stay in for next year. We won't be back.

lights are always on can’t see stars and disruptive during night. no river access just to other property. obnoxious guests that the owners do not do anything about.

We stayed in cabin 14 for Thanksgiving, with two other families in other cabins, and had a great experience. The grounds are spectacular and the cabins are nice. Its not a fancy hotel, its a cabin, but we enjoyed it very much. Our teenagers had a blast in the river, on bikes, at the pool, playing basketball & volleyball, etc. The adults enjoyed the porches, picnic tables & spectacular scenery. And our dogs loved it too. I've been to Garner many times but we wanted nicer lodging, and we found it at Criders. I saw some of angry reviews about the staff... our interaction with management was pretty minimal, but they were as nice as could be.

This was my first time staying at Crider's Cabins and I was a little worried because we usually stay at Neal's Lodges but we absolutely loved it here. It was so beautiful and peaceful. It is right on the river and there is so much room for activities with the family. The cabins are very cute and homey which we liked a lot.You cannot beat the scenery you get when you come here, it is safe to say we will definitely be coming back to stay here again. The staff was so wonderful from booking the cabin all the way to us leaving, they were so sweet and attentive.10/10 Recommend.

We just got back from a 3 night stay in Cabin 10. I cannot say how much we love this place! The open fields covered in wildflowers, the spacious 3 bedroom cabin overlooking a peaceful meadow and so tastefully decorated. Not to mention the perfect riverbank with it's varied terrain and water flow. You can fish upstream in the quiet part, tube down a small stretch of rapids and hang out in a shady area where a deep water hole and rope swing welcomes adventurous swimmers. We love this side of the property! And of course, the kids love the recreational area with the pool and ball activities to top off the day. The staff is friendly and very helpful! Hopefully we will be coming back every year in April to enjoy the best time of year in the Hill Country.

Had an amazing time staying at Criders. We got to float on their property and although the water was low during this time in mid March, it was about an hour long. At the end of the property’s section of the river, there was a perfect water hole where we hung out and were able to swim and hang out in lawn chairs, just walking distance to our cabin. A very well kept property with great staff.

It is a great location. The cabin isn't as stocked as I would have liked. If you stay here, make sure to bring your own tp, trash bags, paper towels, cutting board, knife too, cuz the ones at our cabin were very dull, towels, cleaning supplies, all toiletries, etc. It's just like camping with AC, a shower (that is nice), beds and walls. 😊 Our dog came with us. $50 extra charge, but worth it. Great location for pets. Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend it and come back again.

Our experience at Crider’s Cabins for Memorial Day weekend was perfect! The beds were comfortable and there were curtains so that you could darken the room if needed. The bathrooms were very spacious and clean. The kitchen had a coffee maker, toaster, blender, etc. We had everything that we needed. We had a superb view of the river from our cabin which was just a few yards off the river. The grill was large enough to cook for our group of 15. The grate on the grill was a little saggy, so our meat was cooking kinda on a hammock surface, but it was still very doable. I loved sitting on the swing in the morning listening to the river and hearing the birds. There was a large fire pit that we used every night for s’mores and just relaxing by. Parking was a little tight , but luckily the cabin next to us only had 2 cars and they left a day early, so it all worked out. Our dogs were welcome and they had fun too! Thank you Crider’s for a memorable time with our family and friends! We will definitely be back!

We stayed at BC and had a good time. The cabin is clean and has everything we need. More importantly is the honest and welcoming staff, I left my airpods behind, not holding high hope to find them again. But I gave them a call just in case, and they DID find them. Thanks!

We stayed in the Pearly Creek Cabin and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The Cabin met our expectations, the short walk down to the river was nice, and the kids loved the pool! Zero complaints! Staff was nice & friendly, and they even went as far to fetch a pair of earrings that were left behind and mail them to us after our departure. Will definitely be staying again.

This was my family’s first time staying at Crider’s and we had a wonderful week! We stayed in cabin 3 and it was just a short walk, literally a short walk through a beautiful grassy area with butterflies and flowers down to the river, but the views were amazing and so was the staff. I loved that the campsite was small enough to where you saw all of the same faces throughout your stay and we made lots of new friends! And The pool and the hot tub were the best way to end a long day at the river, those views were breathtaking from the pool ❤️ Thank you Crider’s!!!

Crider's Resort is a gem! It features lots of Frio riverfront as well as a really nice recreation area with pool, playground, and games. There's also the amazing giant cypress and all the wildlife (deer, birds, squirrels...). The cabins are clean and comfortable and have plenty of room. The management is super friendly and knowledgeable. We can't wait to go back and stay for longer! It truly is a little piece of paradise!

We love Crider’s! We go every year & all of the cabins are nice & very close to the river. Our family just stayed at the new Buffalo Creek cabin & it was just perfect! Clean & everything you need, (other than sheets etc. that you need to bring). The river was low, but there was still enough water in front of the cabins for the kids to have fun. The pool & hot tub are really nice & well kept. Very relaxing & the perfect place on the Frio! Jim, Jill & Bonnie are very nice & accommodating! You have to try one of Bonnie’s pies! They are to die for!We will be back next year!

We had a great time and stay. We especially enjoyed the river that was 1min walking distance from our cabin. And the fire place right out side our cabin. We would love to visit again. We also enjoyed the gated pool/Jacuzzi area with slide and playground. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They would like to come again.

Wonderful experience!! We stayed in Cabin 2 in mid-June, for a friends vacation river trip. (4 adults and 4 15 yo boys). The cabin wasn’t fancy but was nice and clean with cold a/c and everything we needed. We loved that the cabins were dog-friendly too. We enjoyed the porch swing, fire pit, picnic table, and BBQ pit too. The cabin was shady and about 100 yd walk to the river. The cabins were close enough that you got to meet some of the friendlier “neighbors” but each had a nice big yard area so didn’t feel crowded at all. The property was kept spotlessly clean and was well maintained. The office staff was exceptionally nice and friendly. Our teenagers LOVED the rec area (pool, volleyball, basketball, washers, etc.) and it was nice that Crider’s had basketballs, volleyballs, etc out there so we didn’t have to bring them. The only weird thing was that when they said you had no cell service, they mean absolutely NO cell service even within a 30-45 drive from Crider’s. You are really cut off from communication back home, which was an adjustment. There was WiFi service right by the pool though but even there at times the signal wasn’t good. We floated the river and of all the places we saw, Crider’s stretch of river was by far the prettiest, deepest, shadiest, and least crowded. Also we thought this was a great value. We paid about $800 for 8 people for 4 days. Split between the 2 families that was only $400 each family. A bargain! We cooked all our meals except for a breakfast from the Crider’s bakery and dinner one night at Neal’s Dining Room (great food, reasonably priced, seating in or outdoors with a beautiful scenic overlook patio). Definitely consider Crider’s for your next trip!

This place is beyond perfect. Cabins all different sizes. Have stayed in a few of them. Our family has grown to need one of the two-story cabins on the west side of the property right above the Frio River. Just gorgeous! Staff is great and very accommodating. The new rec area with pool and beach volley ball was hit (river was low this year yet we still added a day to the trip, just did not want to leave) Crider's Resort is definitely part of our Frio Tradition.

Brought my kiddos during spring break 2022 while I kept working away. The place was very relaxing and surprisingly up to date. Internet was great for the most part, smart tv, everything you need to cook. Check in was easy and check out was easier. The workers on the property were very nice and willing to help out.

We have gone a couple of times and highly recommend Crider Resort. We went as a group of 19. We rented out 3 cabins. Everything was great! Everyone had a great time. There’s always something to do. From relaxing to exploring, swimming, cooking out and more. The cabins had everything we needed and super clean. We are planning again to go this summer. Our kids can’t wait to go back. What I liked the most, the owner himself was visiting the cabins and asking if we needed anything to make our stay better. Great service and felt very safe with our surroundings. If your planning a trip around this area and your not to sure where to stay, this is the place. I recommend Crider Resort!! 👍

The cabins are gorgeous! Everything is very clean and well maintained and the property is beautiful! We had a great time at the pool and down by the river! Be careful if you drive to the river, we got our jeep stuck in the rocks but we were able to call the office and Jill sent her husband to quickly pull us out.

This is our third time staying and our family loves it. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The cabins are beautiful as well as the grounds. New attractions: pool, swings, sand volleyball and basketball a plus. Very kid friendly. Can't wait to reserve again for next summer!

What a wonderful little piece of heaven! Some friends and I just got home from a weekend getaway to Criders. There is absolutely nothing negative we can say about this place. Extremely clean and fully equipped cabins! We rented a total of 3 and each one had it's own uniqueness! The pool and hot tub are amazing! The views are just gorgeous and the hospitality is above and beyond. Our friend's had a small issue with their ac, not only was it resolved very fast but the sweet man also gave them more wood for their fire ring , but he also chopped what they already had. This really helped make a great evening fire for us to all enjoy. The bakery.....I simply can not say enough about this. We had the most amazing chocolate cake ever!!! They even had it ready and waiting in the cabin for us! They did the same with my friends coconut pie! People, you will not find any other place that will go the extra mile for you like they do! We just got home and are already planning our next trip!! Thanks to every owner/employee for your dedication to giving us all such a great place to make amazing memories!!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Crider's. The cabin was clean, grounds well kept, lots of shade trees, staff was friendly, and the beautiful river was a short walk away. The pool and basketball court was an added bonus. We will be returning!
