Lots of unique and interesting things to look at and choose from. We spoke to Betsy and she was very nice and great to talk to. Great building and it seemed that the people that were eating there really enjoyed their food and drinks. We didn't try the food though. Maybe next time. The outside portion has a ton of potential and it seems to be a work in progress. I did enjoy browsing in the back though. Some prices seemed a bit steep but not outrageous. If your into larger unique pieces this place is probably your type of place. I mostly like smalls and collectibles. They had some but I didn't find anything this time. I will be back and update if I feel it's necessary.

We loved the building. Especially the ceiling! The concept for the venue layout is fabulous!! I realize this has vendor's, but the prices are sooooo expensive I don't know how anybody is willing to buy hardly anything. I would rather go 2 blocks away to America Reclaimed! Prices are MUCH better!!

Wide selection of home goods. They have the main store with the coffee shop inside. Then you walk through to the back, and behind that building, there are more little shacks housing more antiques. You could probably remodel an entire house with stuff found here. They even have live plants.

Great place to stop in for an unexpectedly good cup of coffee with excellent customer appreciation and service.. Browsing the many different vendors for an extraordinary gift or an extra special antique was an added bonus! I will definitely be returning to explore some of the areas I missed the first time around.

Delicious light sandwiches, coffee, desserts. The store is a marvel of lovely things both modern and of yesteryear. A delightful way to pass a few hours.

This place is awesome. The inside is huge and very well spread out so you can see items. A lot of times antique stores or so cluttered that you get overwhelmed. Also they have some very unique items that are crafted hear that I really a combination of modern an antique.

Visited 8/21/21 on a hot Sunday afternoon. The strawberry lemonade for sale inside hit the spot. Beautiful, aesthetically pleasing store that offers almost any vintage offering you can imagine. Don’t miss the expansive outside section. Parking is ample and right off the street. Don’t miss this gem when in Comfort, Texas!

I LOVE this store! The employees are so helpful and friendly It is a decorator’s and/or landscaper’s dream. They have unique pieces for both the inside and outside of your home. Good prices and again, just a great, friendly place to shop!

There are SO many fun things to look at in here! Such a big place I could get lost lol. The women running the place are beyond friendly and helpful. There’s also a cute little coffee shop in the front to keep me fueled while I hunt for treasure :)

Amazing pieces and welcoming staff. Coffee and treats were delicious. Lots of fun for the kids out back. Love visiting 8th street every time we are in the area!

From the signs drawing you in with shaved ice, you would consider the store would be kid friendly. No I don't mean your children should run free in any store, but their mere existence, should not provoke ugly looks and snide comments from employees. I would avoid this place is you have children with you, and sadly especially if those children are minorities. Let me elaborate....We went in this store recently, looking to do some shopping to update our ranch. After some browsing, we figured we would take our kids to have a treat of shaved ice before we hit the scorching sun waiting for us in the outdoor area of the shop. After our shaved ice snack, my wife was taking the kids to wash their hands before proceeding out back. I'm watching, chatting with a friend when I notice the clerk behind the counter start mouthing words to the other clerk, pointing and then glaring at my two year old son. I'm not one to confront someone if it was warranted, but my son wasn't harming anything and he was under supervision the whole time. She followed him with her eyes, and kept mouthing words I shouldn't utter here. She made it a point to turn around and keep watching him and my wife. I then figured the choice words she said about my kids meant we were not welcome or wanted there. I briskly walked to my wife, informed her and we turned around and proceeded to leave. My wife is a much nicer person that I am and she gently let the employees (or owners, we are not sure which) know why we were leaving. The glasses clad and really rude clerk said "okay" and the other acted confused, trying to cover up getting seen being total meanies. We walked out and took our business elsewhere, but were left with a bad enough taste in our mouths that we thought a review was warranted. What bothers me the most is the squadron of non-minority children in the shop were never followed and no ugly looks made. They were apparently welcomed in more than my children. This is a shame this day and age, if my children were judged on the race, but who is really to say, I am just making an assumption. In the end, the shaved ice was a welcome treat, the space is fairly hot with a lack of air conditioning (lots of random blowers in the isles to circulate the swampy air), the prices are high for the quality of product they stock and the employees carry more of a uppity and conceited attitude. If you're looking for a home décor/faux antique shop, look elsewhere.

Always make a point of going to Comfort and especially 8th street when visiting my sister in San Antoinio. But this time I was so disappointed. Yes, it's still beautifully decorated, but the prices have skyrocketed!!! I've always found several treasures I could take home with me, but not this time. Not sure I'll go out of my way in the future?!

Really fun place. Worth the drive. Wide selection of antiques. Belittle on the pricier side, but they have such a wide array of objects from furniture to memorabilia to window panes that if you find you’ve been looking for you’re going to buy it.The star is the coffee shop. Good, hospitable atmosphere. And Merit roasted beans from SATX. The side made a good cappuccino. Unbelievable coffee for the small town it’s located in. Wasn’t expecting that.

The most unique store EVER! And food and desserts are delicious too!

High quality espresso drinks. Not a “coffee shop” feel per say as it is an antique store; nevertheless I will be back for another cappuccino. Side note, I also prefer their available smaller portions.

A real hidden gem located in Comfort Texas. So many vintage items, you need a couple of hours to take it all in. It really is a Marketplace with extensive indoor and outdoor items.

We love this place. They do amazing pieces of furniture out of industrial pieces. We have been in this store many times. My only negative comment - the staff, (or management?) followed us around and were much more "aggressive " than normal, even following us to one of the outside buildings. Each time they asked us if we needed help, we had told them no, we were just looking around. And yet them kept asking. Maybe it was just a slow day for them? Made us almost not want to go back, except we love the store.

This is NOT your typical antique store!Once an old Ford dealership built in the 40's; the property includes the main building, two other air conditioned buildings out back, and even more under cover.Everything from small items to architectural pieces. And an added bonus; Comfort Coffee is also inside, serving coffees, teas, lemonade, chai, pastries, breakfast and lunch items. You'll be happy you dropped by. 😉

I love 8th Street Market! Everyone is so nice and welcoming! I fell in love with their indoor swing! I felt so relaxed; time stood still for me. It was very therapeutic! I have my wish list of furniture I want to buy!! I think I am going to need a bigger house! My husband and I shared a sandwich and chips- chicken salad sandwich; delicious! We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful store with us!

I had a item that had a tag of 10$ that I was going to purchase but the older lady at check out questioned the price due to there was another tag stating 30$, an older large blond Woman came over and said " No" its the other ticket price without even researching from the consignment owner. We frequently visit this market in the past BUT WE DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE BACK..

Love this place. Very cute. They always have it decorated creatively. It's a must visit but skip the coffee shop. The coffee place in "no bueno".

We drove a very long way to get there and due to traffic and accidents got there half an hour before closing with every intention of spending lots of money on things we had our eye on. Unfortunately for them, they rushed us rudely out the door promptly at closing time. Go in early because staying open late for you is clearly not an option.

Extremely unique vendors with items that are architecturally significant; small to large decorative items; and, something for everyone on your gift list year 'round. Easy to spend hours here! Fantastic owners.

I was born and raised in Comfort, TX, but have relocated due to work. I came in to 8th street market, it is an interesting place, The way I was treated by the employees stopped me from spending money there. The owners were also there, they were stuck up and rude. It seems obvious they aren’t from Comfort.
