This is some of the best wood fired pizza you will ever have. I stop here as often as I can after bike rides in the area or if just passing through. Lots of great ingredients including local meats. Excellent crust. Many inventive menu choices or build your own. Specialty sodas, wines, beers, salads and gelato round out the menu. Gets busy on weekends so best to call ahead to order or see when the next available pizza time is and order if that time works for you. Not cheap but excellent high quality hand made pizza at a true local small business is worth the price. Atmosphere is fun, outdoor seating, umbrellas, lights, converted old filling station vibe, antique bike display, and friendly service.

Best Pizza in Texas, let alone on the hill country! Whenever I come in town to visit family I make it a point to stop and get a pizza here. Make sure you make dough reservations before you go since they sell out, but it’s worth it! All of the seating is outdoors so plan accordingly with weather but its is also dog friendly so be sure to bring your furry friends. All of the staff are super friendly and I’m not sure how they do it but they time orders perfectly. Great location, fantastic food, what more do you need?

I love their pizza and gelato. My favorites are their Greek and Texas Sunrise pizzas. They have plenty of yummy gelato and an excellent beer selection.They are popular. So, I'd recommend calling them ahead and placing an order for your pizza.Vegetarian options: Greek pizza is vegetarian. They have gelato for dessert.

If you're in town and are a fan of pizza you HAVE to check this place out. I am a pizza lover and I loved the pizza here.Everything about the pizza was awesome. The dough was nice and toasty but soft at the same time. It all felt authentic fresh. We had never had Prickly pear lemonade and it was so delicious.The workers were very welcoming, nice friendly people. The place has a nice vibe with an outdoor dog friendly seating area. Definitely can't wait to be back and check another pizza off the menu.

Very good pizza in the tiny town of Comfort! You can taste the quality in every bite. Glad we called ahead and placed our order because it was a 2 hour wait! We definitely will return again!

I read the amazing reviews and decided I wanted to try their s wood fire pizza. So I called the say before to reserve my pizza for pick up. I would recommend looking at the options on line for toppings and go ahead and put your order in. This way you won’t have to wait. In the heat of the summer we took the pizza to our local Airbnb and had a wonderful evening meals. The pizza is amazing. Thank he crust is not heavy. I will make this a stop again while in Comfort.

Every pizza I have eaten in my 39 years on this planet pale in comparison to the pizza at Comfort Pizza. Born and raised in the Houston area, one of the most diverse foodie cities in the nation, I have had every kind of pizza out there. Almost. That wood fired pizza oven, out-of-this-world sourdough crust and the expert hands that create the 14” masterpieces in the little town of Comfort make all the difference.The dough is rivaled by no others, with a distinct chew and leopard spots of char that add a lovely hint of smokiness. They make the caramelized dough take on an entirely new flavor profile.The toppings to choose from are diverse but all are of the highest quality. Some are familiar like pepperoni, black olives and spinach. Quite a few exciting and unique ingredients like lime chili spiced pineapple, black truffle sea salt and angry Samoan oil. Then there are the ingredients that will appeal to the gourmet palate like Italian prosciutto, kalamata olives, chèvre and fresh local sprouts.The sauce is spot on. Not sweet, not salty, not bitter. It’s just right.They have such a great atmosphere you’ll want to hang out all night under the twinkling lights hung amongst the towering trees above. It’s the cherry on top of the whole experience.Seriously, If there's one pizza you have to add to your bucket list, this is it.

Thin, sour dough, crust baked to perfection in a wood fired oven. There may be better pizza in the area, but if so, I haven’t found it yet. We regularly make the 30 mile trek up from San Antonio just for Comfort Pizza. Pro tip - they can run out of crust dough on busy weekends - if you call ahead they will reserve a crust for you.

T and Ty (The Pizza Guys) were super amazing! We called ahead to reserve a pie, and got there a few minutes early. They had our pie ready on time and it was absolutely amazing, as always! My wife and I are repeat customers and are more than happy to drive an hour and a half for delicious pizza! The staff is amazing, and the pizza is worth the effort!

Some of the best pizza I've had, wood fired, perfect crust and high quality, delicious ingredients. As some other reviews mentioned there can be a long wait during busy times, but they offer a call-ahead 11:00 AM and reserve dough & pick-up time, which was super convenient. The staff was so friendly as well, highly recommend!

Came to Comfort Pizza with my husband and 100% recommend. Everything about the pizza was phenomenal from the toppings to the texture of the crust. Will absolutely be putting this place in our normal restaurant rotation. Just be sure to call ahead and ensure they still have dough. Beer selection also offers good variety.

A must have. I love this place. It is always worth the 40min drive out here. The flavors are an inspiration from the heavens. I have to say I hate pizza and will only eat here for the pizza. Love this place.

We were behind a large group and were told we would wait for our pizza for an hour. 15 minutes later our pizza was ready. We got the sei cheese and added prosciutto. It was amazing! Thanks Comfort Pizza for a great lunch!

Good pizza in that was very unique. We had the Ivan the great pizza. It was $18. It includes tomato sauce, pepperoni, prosciutto, mushrooms, mozzarella and provolone. The service very friendly and helpful. They have a good choice of beers and the server had great beer advice. I had my first Trappist monk beer $7 and it was really good. Would definitely come here again. The only complaint is the meat could've had a little bit more spice to it.

We ordered the Bubba, and it is delicious. Made fresh. The meats are so delicious. The sauce is very tasty. Only takes about 15 minutes for a pizza to be ready. I highly recommend this little place. It is also super cute!

This is where the locals go. Their Pizza is some of the best I’ve had! And I’ve had a LOT in many different spots. Top 5 for sure. Everything from scratch! To go with the delicious pizza and salads, they have awesome selections of wine and beer, gelato, blue bell ice cream, and more. Reservations are a must because, they only make so much dough with their sourdough starter. No indoor seating, but they have misted outdoor seating and fans. Texans don’t mind…. Right on the historic Main St.

Stopped, at Comfort Pizza looking for a cold drink and came across Black Cheery soda, and Prickly Pear Cactus soda, taste just like it did in the 60's, hmm good. As we dranked our sodas we were seduced by wood cooked pizza aroma, and decided to asked only for the pizza bread, too which the staff more was more the happy cook. The pizza bread is what we ARMY guys call flat bread, delicious.
